Super clean, very friendly, not really the smartest bunch and a little on the slow side for food delivery The bone in chicken my husband ordered was cooked to perfection, although on the small side. Balsamic tomatoes were perfectly simple, but really need a spoon to eat with (they didnt bring us one and they are no where to be found in the serve yourself area), Not crazy about the rice, a little dry. Black beans had a ton of flavor. Plantains were really good. Curry sauce and the really hot one were spot on. They also had Mango tea that I hope is a regular thing, it was perfect. However, I ordered a bowl with chicken, and when it was brought to our table - no chicken. I took back to the counter and told the worker that they missed the most important part of my bowl (chicken) and he just looked at me and repeated what I said, twice. Finally he said do you want me to put chicken on that? Uhhhh, yea since that is what i ordered. Asked a different worker later if I could get a lid to take what I didnt eat from the bowl home. She said yes and walked off. I waited more than 5 minutes watching her deliver food to other tables and then stop to hang out and chat with other workers at the counter. When I went back to her and asked about my lid she said "oh yea i knew i was forgetting something. Ill go back for the food, service - meh.

Every now and then I am looking for a little flavor of South Florida. Pollo Tropical fills that craving as much as possible in San Antonio. Not to mention the grilled chicken dishes with tons of flavor are a great change of pace in fast food options in the area. I recommend the 1/4 chicken with black beans and yellow rice as it is very inexpensive and flavorful! The mojo pork in the tropichop is also a great option (my wifes favorite). I really enjoy the sauce bar, especially mixing the curry sauce into the beans & rice. My wife likes the creamy garlic sauce. The sweet plantains are a great treat as well. While I did not frequent Pollo Tropical in Florida, I am happy to have them here in Texas for that change of pace and hope to see them stay here in Schertz!

The gentlemen at the front provided excellent customer service. It was weird that one of the pieces of chicken I got was still partially refrigerated. Not the greatest thing to bite into when youre eating chicken. It seems as though its just reheated on the grill rather than made fresh to order. Not really a bad experience though, I think I just got my hopes up and didnt realize its a Caribbean influenced KFC.

Man this place is great! This was my first time. I got the tropichop, with chicken. The plantains were good. The variety of sauces went perfect with the grilled chicken. The staff were nice and they bring the food right to you. They sell alcohol so you gotta try the Pineapple Rum sauce!!

Horrible, because it has occured 3xs. I ordered a half chicken and guess what a chicken restaurant that does not chicken ready to serve. Poorly managed, did offer to make it right. Management needs be involved with the kitchen.

Run the other way disgusting food we order for 6 people and only ended up with three meals and two of us waiting for our meal 30 minutes later why everybody else was done with their meal disgusting food

Red stripe one of my favorite lager. You can have it here for cheap. The food is good and plenty. The staff is extremely friendly that it almost makes you feel bad. Will return.
