Let me start by saying I love Taco Cabana and visit this one at least once a week. The street tacos are a great quick lunch. But... My wife and I had some time this morning and decided to get some breakfast. She got breakfast tacos and I got the chorizo and egg breakfast burrito. When I got my food it was almost as if my burrito had been boiled, the tortilla was soggy and falling apart and the water/grease was pooled up in the foil. I decided to skip breakfast at that point. I did not take the burrito back because for $2 I wasnt going to hassle them over it. What did bother me is the manager was standing right next to the trash can as I dumped my tray. He saw me throw out an entire breakfast burrito and all he did was thank me for dumping my tray. He was the manager, his name tag made that clear. As I was dumping the tray I was so sure he would ask me about the uneaten food that I was working on my response. Instead he said nothing about it. I dont expect my order to be correct or the food to he perfect every time, I understand people make mistakes. But I do expect that a manager would go out of their way to make sure customers are happy. And an entire uneaten breakfast burrito should indicate someone is not happy with what they received.

I re-visited TC today. I wanted to add and issue to my previous post...the Guacamole. Looking closely at the guacamole it seemed watery. Its pureed with a light green, almost translucent wet look. Anyone who has made fresh Guacamole knows the consistency of Avocado. If I had to guess its pureed green pepper with heavy lime juice. Credit due: Maybe someone read my comment about the rice. It was much better this time, a star upgrade from my previous 1 star. From Previous post: Its sad. Ive been eating at TC since it first opened up in Austin back in the early 80s. Back then the food reminded me of my mothers and grand-mothers cooking. Today...flavorless steamed rice and over cooked, possibly canned, beans. I dont ever recall having tomato paste in "home made" pinto beans, Verdad?. Someone at TC HQ needs to go back to the basics or change the name, its not the real TC anymore. Also, at this store, when the rooftop A/C unit turns on, the whole building shakes. Might want to have someone take a look at it.

I was so surprised by this Taco Cabana. The people were very friendly of course. But what surprised me the most was the tacos were so big and the Soaopilla were so fluffy and soft. I aint got so full on $3.97. I had two big and cheese tacos and the personal Soaopilla ! I cant spell this word. When I was at Taco Cabana I just looked up at the menu and then I could sell it. So forgive me if I did a hack job on the word. of this tasty delicious dessert. Like I was saying this talk of Anna really caught me by surprise the people were friendly the place was clean and the food was so delicious! Thank you Taco Cabana!

This has got to be the worst taco cabana in the San Antonio area. This is my second and last visit. The first time I ordered a cabana bowl and the rice was almost uneatable. It was hard and very undercooked. This time I ordered the taco combo and my chicken soft taco had two small pieces of chicken in it. When the guy brought me another one, there was no apology or anything. Just sit it on my table and kept waking. At least the Dr Pepper was well carbonated and the ice was cold.

The more we go to this location, the more likely they are going to forget part of our order. It does not matter how busy or not, when we get home with our order somethings missing. Time and time again, we call in to notify them. We always are asked if we want to come back to get the missing item. It would be a waste of gas and time. Not one to write a review but it has gotten old.

Being Military we move back and forth a lot over 40 years. I used to like the Breakfast Tacos at Taco Cabana. But the Bacon bits in a Bacon and egg taco doesnt make the grade! I cant believe they cant put a single slice of bacon on the taco!!!! I am not interested in the cheese on an otherwise healthy taco. The Bill Miller Barbecue right next to them is much, much better!

I have recently moved away from Texas to a new state and one of the biggest things I miss from Texas is Taco Cabana. I deeply regret not eating there as much as I can. Please please come to Florida. All of the people who give this place bad reviews dont realize how lucky they are to actually be able to eat there. This place is a 5/5

I got the Cabana Sampler. It was forgettable. The only good part about it was the enchilada. The beans were as bland as beans could possible be. Terrible. The rice was mildly better. Typical chain store, mass produced fare. Salsa bar was good, but that hardly makes up for the rest of it. Just go somewhere else.

I was pleasantly surprised with this place. I dont often enjoy fast food, but their street tacos were really tasty. Tender, spicy beef, fresh cilantro and onion. Yum. And as a bonus they have $1.50 frozen margaritas for happy hour. The salsa roja was a little bland, but the verde was fresh with a little heat.

Taco Cabana how stupid are you to tell someone to drive up past the drive up window and then not bring them what they paid for, then have them park, get out and wait in line for their food? HELLO WHY EVEN HAVE A DRIVE THRU? And then overcharge for a single freaking quesadilla...Will never go here again.

This Taco Cabana isnt any better or worse than other locations in San Antonio, but the chain itself has gone downhill in recent years. Food quality seems on the decline and the menu has been reduced in size multiple times. (The food didnt shrink, but the variety of food did.) It used to be quite good.

Met with friend after church. Order at counter. Good tacos and plates. Theres a separate help yourself bars, one with coffee and drinks, and other with sauces and toppings like cilantro. Friendly and apparently a great stop for people headed to water parks, rivers or pools. Thanks!

Burito... and coffee, both where cold. Wasnt sure what I was about to eat. Didnt seem fresh. The customer parking lot proved that other customers werent jam packing inside the of the restaurant either. Theyre not what they use to be. Theyve been around for 30yrs ir more.... shame.

Theres nothing like chicken flautas, quesadillas, and a strawberry margarita after work! The margaritas are little but strong. You have been warned! The service is really good here too.

Decent cheap texmex. Its fast food, but you can get the actual, identifiable thing... Condiments and salsa with real heat were a nice surprise. Not gourmet but good in a pinch.
