I have been going to this restaurant since 1997 and sad to say I have had 2 bad experiences. The 1st time Manager was rude. She was talking to customers about me. How I know is that I called after I left 2 ask to speak to a manager and she put me on hold and was talking about me to the customers, I guess they dont have a hold button.I went back in the restaurant to tell her how unprofessional that was and I didnt go back for a while but I missed the food so I started going back. Today was the 2nd bad experience 11/21/15. My friend and I took our kids to eat. They had a buffet so we got it. My friends daughter is one and they charged her $5.99 and she didnt even touch her food. My friend was informed that since she had her own plate in front of her she had 2 pay . And since she is a big girl. How rude . She is bigger than most one year olds but that is insult who does that and tells a parent that their child is a big girl. Sorry but this is my last time eating there. They need a new manager. She is rude and unprofessional.

Cristina Garza, youre an idiot. You didnt want to tip on your $56 bill, fine. You didnt have enough money to pay for everything you ordered, so as soon as I brought out the two freshly made lo meins to you, you said you didnt want it, fine. I paid for them myself ($20) no big deal. Then you talk about me on here, lol! Calling me rude and I didnt want to help you with your order, I paid for two entrees that you ordered and refilled your drinks and even packed up the rest of your food that you ordered, so you can take it home. How is that rude? And when I told you to not come back, its because you and your family were the ones being rude and not wanting to pay for everything that you ordered, and making me pay for it. FYI, all those customers that were there when I told you not to come back, told me, that they would back me up, and you were wrong for doing that and you and your family were the ones being rude. Lastly, please work on you grammar and spelling.

We have ordered from Dragon Lake for years, even befor they moved from across the street to their present location. We would ordered to go orders during lunch and would heat them up for dinner. Just recently we ordered two meals and we usually get 4 egg rolls with it. We ordered beef and brocolli and Cashew chicken extra spicy. Neither of the meals were really good, I ended throwing half of my beef and brocolli away and my wife couldnt even eat hers. She took it back the next day and complained. The person at the counter went to the kitchen to talk to someone and came back as said that they had a new cook. She then asked if she wanted another. My wife asked if she had to pay for it and she said yes. She told them that we had been a customer for years and they just lost us for good. It was horrible and wasnt fit to eat. Do not recommed. They only get 1 star because, it wouldnt allow me to post without any stars.

Went there for the first time and was highly disappointed. It took 15 minutes to be seated even though half the tables in the sitting area were empty. Once seated it took another 20-25 minutes to get menus and that was only because we flagged the waitress. Once the meal was served, the food was cold and the fried rice was barely describable as fried. The waitress never stopped by to see if we were in need of anything else like a refill of our drinks. After halfway eating our meal we were finished and again sat there for another 20 minutes until we flagged down our waitress for our bill.....Needless to say our service and food was pretty bad. The staff focused on two large parties and basically forgot the small parties. Working for that big tip...I hope they enjoyed my dollar tip.

I received prompt service however the food wasnt worth the price. I ordered a plate of sweet and sour chicken with fried rice. The rice was just cooked rice with eggs and pork not fried, and as for the chicken they basically strips that were deep fried and plated with a few green bell peppers cut and put on it with pineapples. They werent cooked and the sauce on the side. I could have gone to Popeyes or somewhere else and just order a chicken strips meal instead. I definitely wont be back.

As Im eating my lemon chicken everything is fine untill I open the wonton soup & find TWO dead mosquitoes in the soup. I bring the food back & when the manager opens the cup that I put the mosquitoes in she starts saying "ohhhh thats a long mosquito". Then as she starts to give my money she starts to say "thats its part of the pork & guarantees that those are not mosquitoes", well it has wings on it so I would know what a mosquitoe looks like. Never again with this place.

I have eaten Chinese food all over the world, and I have to say that this was terrible. I ordered the Sweet and Sour Chicken. When it arrived, it was cold, the chicken was reminiscent of McDonalds, and the sweet and sour sauce had a strong metallic taste. The steamed rice was palatable and the tea was good, but the food overall was not close. My wifes dinner was not hot either and the Crab Rangoon we ordered was cold also. We will not be returning.

Nice, friendly, & efficient service. We ordered two of the 35 Luncheon Specials ($6.50-7.00): A Pepper Steak & Imperial Shrimp served with a Soup, Fried Rice, & a choice of Egg Roll. All menu items were served hot. Added a pot of hot Tea to our meal. Our total bill came to $16.24 plus Tip. A super value! Meals were tasty, delicious, & plentiful. Definitely go back & invite others. Only concern was delay in reception and checkout.

First time trying this place and I really enjoyed it. I got the beef and broccoli dinner special for $11.95, and my mother got the lemon chicken dinner special for $11.95. The main dish was big (they filled up a whole container) but I wasnt too pleased with the way they did the rice. Instead of giving us each separate containers they put it in one. Overall good, though! I was pretty bummed the sesame chicken wasnt one of the specials.

I have eaten at this restaurant for over 20 years (since childhood), and it is still one of my favorite Chinese restaurants on the east side. I compare every other Chinese restaurant to this one, and most of them dont even come close. I am saddened to see some of the bad service reviews, as I have personally never had a bad experience here. I also frequent the owners sisters restaurant in Schertz, these two ladies have it down!

I have been going here since High School, and I have never, ever been disappointed. I usually go to either the Wednesday Lunch or Saturday Dinner buffet. The waitstaff recognizes my family when we go in and are friendly to any who come in. The selection is smaller, usually about 8 entrees, but the quality is consistently good. Ill take 8 great dishes versus 100 so-so ones that may have one gem within any day.
