Ive eaten at Bangkok cuisine at least a dozen times, sometimes a few months in between. I visit usually at lunch but occasionally bring someone with me for dinner. When you enter theres a board with chef specials that change each visit. Ive never tried anything from it yet. The menus talk about how the owner prepares the dishes personally, ensuring all the items are fresh. The food always tastes great and you can tell even the lunch specials are made fresh to order. Ive ordered the Pad Thai and the Pad See Ew numerous times at Bangkok Cuisine and both are great. Compared to all the other Thai restaurants Ive eaten (over 2 dozen across the US), this one has some of the better food. Everyone Ive taken to Bangkok has enjoyed it and many returned again. While the food is always fresh, the service is somewhat impersonal. Ive never had a waiter or waitress converse with me at this restaurant, and I build relationships with the places I visit regularly. If you read my reviews you know that I meet a lot of the owners. It saddens me that I have had even 1 negative experience at this restaurant, but I decided to share it, so that it doesnt ruin someone elses visit The spiciness of the dishes at Bangkok Cuisine can vary quite a bit. When trying a new Thai restaurant I always order mild to medium spiciness. Ive been eating thai food for a long time and know that recipes and spiciness varies from place to place. I had ordered mediums many a time at Bangkok Cuisine, and even a hot once, so I thought I knew what to expect. I ordered a medium spiciness Pad Thai, but what came out was super hot, covered in pepper flakes and seeds. It only took me about 3 bites to know there was no way I could finish my food. I informed the waiter that my food was overly spicy, and was told that orders werent replaced when they are too hot, it was the customers responsibility to order the correct spiciness. The waiter had attitude and just brought me another glass of water while I sat debating if I should just leave without eating or even take the meal to go. Yes.. it really was that spicy.. I was made to feel like it was my fault. The waitress showed no interest in fixing it because it wasnt their fault in her opinion. After some more attitude from the waitress, she went to the kitchen to ask the chef if she would replace my meal. The 2nd plate that came out had no flavor and no spice to it at all.. I guess that was their way of ensuring I wouldnt say it was too hot again, and drive the point home at the same time. Because I had been eating there for several years, I wasnt going to let this one bad experience stop me from returning, but I do order more cautiously now.. I would recommend this restaurant because the food is great, I just warn those who go with me to order on the low end of the spiciness scale, as I want to avoid another confrontation or inedible meal.

My wife and I enjoy sampling great ethnic cuisines around the world... this restaurant did that for us, the food is authentic, price is more than average but what you get is what you pay for right? Well, unfortunately the 2 female waitress on a Friday night made me extremely disgusted that I will no longer go. We went with my wife, our new born son and my wifes grandmother and ordered about $50 worth of food (3 plates, 1 appetizer, 1 beer, 1 tea), our plates were never cleared, our drinks were never checked to be refilled. I understand how busy they are so after we finished eating and after waiting ~ 10-15 mins for the check and doggie bag in preparation to leave, not only did the waitress did not look at our direction, they completely ignored us that theres a hungry baby that need to be breastfed, so out of courtesy for the establishment, my wife and her grandmother left to the car to feed the baby and I am left to settle the bill. I went ahead and picked up 2 boxes to pack the leftover myself from behind the counters... but after waiting 20 mins, still no acknowledgment that the need to close my bill... so I went to one waitress and asked for a plastic bag, and she said "cant you just carry it to the front (check out area), and shell (her older partner) give you a bag" with a very demeaning look, to that I replied, "I cant, because I also have a car seat to carry" (along with 2 containers of food may spill, trying to save a potential spill clean up for her) but instead she gave me dirty look, grunted, went to the kitchen got a plastic bag and tossed it at me. I packed it, and took it to the front to settle the bill, and told the other waitress that "we come here quite frequently (like just last week) and I did not appreciate how rudely I was treated." All I expected was an apology, but instead she gave me a blank stare and said "what do you want me to do? Tell the owner?" After I signed the bill, I left and told her "a simple apology would have been sufficient." I am also sending this excerpt to the owner, because she unknowingly is loosing customers from her rude waitress. Let me know if this review was helpful.

After spending a month (FEB-MAR 2013) in Thailand from PaTong to Chiang Mai to Bangkok I wanted to see if Bangkok cuisines food was authentic as compared to what I experienced eating my way through Thailand. This location is excellent in terms of accessibility. The story about the owners trials, dreams and tribulations gave the restaurant a more personable feel. Uplifting story for sure! The lunch meal (pork with oyster sauce etc) I ordered was very disappointing as compared to what I experienced in Thailand. The meat and veggies seemed to have been sitting in a pot a longtime before they got to me. No vibrant food colors (the foods color was grey and the baby corn was not yellow and the combined flavors were excessively salty and lacked a quality of flavor I experienced in Thailand). I normally do not give reviews BUT this particular time (lunchtime) was very disappointing. The cost for the meal was $20 USD for two of us. Of course in Thailand this meal for two would have cost me THB (Thai Baht) 150 which is approximately less than $2 US. So gotta get used to the price disparities of the US as compared to Thai. Will I return --hard to say. I live approximately 1 hour from this location. I may try one more time to see if the rest of the reviews about Bangkok Cuisine are from friends or authentic reviews relative to the food quality and freshness.

I called at 6pm on a Monday to make a to-go order and was put on was on hold. Five minutes later I figured they forgot about me and called back. Explaining I was just on hold trying to make an order, I was put on hold once again. My husband was already in route to pick-up so I waited. THIRTY minutes goes by and my husband shows up (who was aware of the situation) and makes the order in person. He then explains that I am still on hold and watches the cook in the kitchen hang up on me. He is told there is no one on hold and isnt offered an apology or any explanation. Its not like they were even busy, with only 3 tables of people in the restaurant and nobody calling in since I was tying up the line. Their customer service is a joke and they need to stop having the cook answer the phone from the kitchen.
