"Rundown place, friendly people, decent food." Driving up to the place, the rundown neighborhood gave me a bad feeling. Stepping through the doors alleviated that a bit. The place is also rundown, but it looks like they make an effort to keep it running. If not for the food left on the floor for a half hour or better, Id almost call it well-kept. Most of the food was fresh, including the sushi (no fishy smell). I had to spit out the beef eggroll, either for that item or the sweet/sour Id dipped it in. Everything else was split pretty evenly between bland/mediocre and "pretty good". Other reviews mentioned the crab legs and the steak. None of us had the steak, but the crab was just fine. The biggest selling points are it being a buffet (you can really get your $10 worth!) and the service. The waitstaff were constantly clearing plates and refilling cups, and always with a smile and friendly chat with the kids. I waited a bit before posting to see if any of us wound up with food poisoning. Not this time! Edit - July 2017: Later visits got progressively worse. Never going back. About 3/4 of the food was either so fried and oily as to create nausea, or had gone bad (especially sushi and salmon). The "steaks" are little strips of meat - thin cut. Bulgogi, if that means anything to yall. And the guy who cooks them? Took him the better part of a minute to get up from his chair, put his phone away, and mutter something at me. (Had time to get annoyed and ask "Do you work here?", and thats saying a lot!) Then he added God-knows-how-much oil to the mix. Only good point was the waitress. She was on the ball with clearing plates and refilling drinks. Found out at the end the price is the same as Golden Corral. Just gonna stick with GC from now on, if we want to hit a buffet.

If this was another day I probably would have given them three stars. The food isnt that bad and theres a nice selection but this particular trip I had an issue over simple $2 pot of tea.I went in and its a buffet so youre paying $15 per person for the food and you pay extra for the drinks well I ordered a pot of tea. Which I know is extra and my daughter upon hearing me order a pot of tea said can I have some so I asked the girl for a second cup well she brought us a single pot of tea and the two teacups. When I got the bill I got billed for two pots of tea and they said no you dont get two potts you ordered two cups and I said well if I ordered a pot of tea by itself shouldnt I get two pots since Im paying $2 for each pot of tea and she said no its $2 for the extra cup and I said thats ridiculous because Im now splitting my tea in two and getting charged twice for it .well the manager would would not yield. thats enough for me not to go back to a restaurant. This is a place Ive been to many times before . I think it would be in their best interest over a nickel bag of tea to give me another pot as opposed to charging me double for one pot and losing a customer

Decent buffet, but nothing the specifically stands out. Ive eaten here 2 times and Ive found the food selection and flavor to be on the middle to lower side of the buffets in San Antonio. I didnt find any items on the buffet that were really good and would bring me back. Table service was the same, minimal each time. The selection of entrees on the buffet was decent, but the items lacked a lot of flavor and were all on the plain side. Some items on the buffet my last trip were luke warm. The few times Ive visited the buffet, it has been pretty empty, but I know it gets busier on the weekend and Friday nights. My two visits were on weekday afternoons and evenings. Not high up on my list of Chinese buffets in San Antonio. But is decent enough for a quick lunch when Im in the area.

I just ate there and I was all by myself but on my second trip to the buffet a dinner companion joined me at the table. I mean on the table. It was a ROACH ON MY TABLE. I killed it with a napkin. I still ate some more after hanging tables. The busboy was very apologetic but I still got charged for the food. Shouldnt have done that as the food tasted a bit different after the roach incident. Still got charged for the food because they pointed out that I kept eating after the roach. I ate different food which I thought would be tastier to get the roach off my mind. To be fair the roach never touched my food since I was bringing a fresh plate to my table. I will never eat here again and dont recommend it.

None of the food was hot and it was super greasy! Plus the management absolutely sucks and they do nothing to improve the customer experience. They had a couple there with kids who had a phone/tablet with the volume up EXTRA LOUD causing it to be a distracting and I could hardly hear my mom who is sitting across from me. The management failed to do anything about it not even partial refund our meals or drinks. The couple causing the commotion just got to leave and didnt have to pay what kind of bull is that? The 30$ we spent wasnt worth it at all. This place has fallen all the way off and crappy staff and management. I will never give this place my business EVER AGAIN!!!

Food was good and good price BUT.......as i was siting waiting for the kids to finished noticed the staff in a side room take a bucket of silverwear from the plate dump area and rinse it in bucket of water then wipe it with a towel then wrap it in a napkin for the next customer. Im pretty sure that is not sanitary at all, a bucket of dirty used silverwear in a bucket of water then rinsed and wiped with the same rag they clean tables with. Im not going back. Crazy thing is they did it like it was normal, what else are they doing in the back??

WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN!!! Ive been to this place a dozen times and they have NEVER forced an automatic gratuity until yesterday! I have six in my family, one is only 4 years old!!!! Then we go yesterday and the food and service were not great and there is a 10% gratuity.....when I asked them why Im being forced expecting them to reconsider the gratuity they acted like we had been getting over on them not paying it all the many times weve eaten there. DONT EAT THERE if your family size is 6 or more which is the average these days.

First off I have to start by saying there is nothing really special about this place that makes it outstanding. The food is ok it is not the greatest and there is not a big selection. They do have a sushi bar and a stir-fry area. Ive been going here for a long time. Sometimes you go in and the place is clean and sometimes its not. Definitely double check your bill before you pay it. They might try to overcharge you. The waiters sometimes do slack off. And sometimes the people do not seem very nice and friendly. This place is mediocre
