I came here with my father and had a wonderful experience. We ordered the avocado toast (just for the millennial jokes, and because we both do love avocados) and were amazed by how genuinely delicious it was. The toast itself was tasty and perfectly toasted while the avocados were very fresh and had a subtle flavor of lemons. The eggs that came with it (to order) were extremely delicious and didnt even need to be salted. We also ordered the bacon chicken avocado sandwich and the oatmeal pancake. The sandwich was frankly half the size of his head and just LOOKED delicious (before he squished it trying to fit it in his mouth) and lived up to appearances. The pancake was huge and tasted exactly as advertised - and probably the best pancake Ive ever had. The service was absolutely excellent and the server was very nice and offered some suggestions off the menu when asked. I feel like she didnt quite like us, but she still gave us excellent service and plenty of attention even with several other tables to manage. The atmosphere was also great and friendly even as the noise level rose with the morning crowd. It truly lives up to its casual family atmosphere with delicious high quality food!

I had the worst breakfast ever this morning. My order (two eggs over medium, bacon, toasted English muffin and milk) was taken, then a couple near the window gave theirs,, then the party behind me. After ten minutes the couple were served and shortly thereafter the party behind me. It took 15+ minutes to get my order but no milk. Everything was cold, the eggs and bacon, the muffin was not well toasted. After a couple of bites I was through, still no milk. The waitress passed by my table twice before she realized this and said she would get my milk, I told her to forget it. It took another few minutes before I could get her attention to bring my check. I told her and the e cashier that the food was cold and all I got was an "I,m sorry" from both individuals. I paid my check and left then later realized they didnt even deduct the charge for the milk. I goes without saying that I will not visit The Egg and I ever again and will not recommend if asked!

Dont get scrambled "eggs." Yuck. The service is fine. The big problem here is that they use the fake liquid eggs (CONFIRMED BY STAFF), which taste grainy and watery. You can get real eggs but you have to ask for them. Come on, the place has EGG in the name! The ranch potatoes are mushy and bland. The dark roast coffee is indistinguishable from the regular coffee. This place is very pricey for what they serve, and it is way far away from IH20. If you are on a road trip just stick with fast food on the highway, it is NOT worth the drive through town. It cost more than $50.00 for a family of four. Shameful.

The Egg & I in Tyler, TX has become a favorite of mine! The menu has great selections and the food is always delicious and fresh! The staff are very friendly and always greet you with a smile. We have had the same server (Justin) the times weve gone. Hes great! You can tell hes experienced & he always delivers superb customer service with a smile. They dont fuss if i request to sub an item or two. They are a family friendly environment. I have dined with just my husband and I as a brunch date & weve also brought our daughters for family breakfasts out. We look forward to dining there again!

Not what they use to be. Wait staff was good but that was all. Took a very long time for food to be served. Food was served cold. wait staff said the kitchen was behind. Poached eggs overcooked. People could not pay their bill because waiter did not give them a ticket. Hostess stopped processing payments so she could seat people first. Then hostess and a waiter talked about tables and tips while processing payments. The place is a train wreck. It is understaffed and the staff on-site needs training. If you want to witness how a restaurant should not operate this is a stellar example.

We had breakfast at The Egg & I today. My husband ordered the Tuscan Scramble. It was a big disappointment. The dish acknowledges it has chicken, spinach, sundried tomatoes, cheese, and onion. The chicken was cold, processed sliced chicken, the tomatoes were too spicey. The waitress didnt deliver the proper beverage and was slow. Topping off the experience was an absent cashier causing 8 people to wait, crowding the small entrance area. I had the kale cooler which was pretty good, but had more ice than beverage.

Serve eggs during breakfast, brunch and lunch. Go for the spinach bacon mushroom omelette! Quick to seat us at a table and waitress immediately asked about what want to drink. Nice vibes here I feel comfortable and not rushed. Id also recommend a veggie frittata or go for the 1/2 sandwich and soup (love the tortilla soup). Great location right off of Broadway! Last but not least these guys use deli meat and not processed meat thats already been sliced. That is really important to me.

I know this is a chain but does it cost that much for the fees that you have to charge almost $2.50 for a cup of coffee???? I asked for lemon in my water and the waitress that "that will cost you extra" The food was very hot and they gave you a lot but it not taste that good, the pancake was hard around the edges and not cooked inside so I dont get it? If you want a hot breakfast or great burger go to Skyline cafe at the old airport, oh great service too, they care about people

We called in an order to go this morning, and upon arriving to pick it up they had no idea where our order was. It was never turned in and more important than making that mistake was the way we were treated afterward. We were told they could go ahead and put the order in but it would be awhile. The tone was that we were an inconvenience especially as busy as they were. We have eaten there a few times but never will again, ane will not hesitate to pass that message along.

I love this place. Love the concideration of the staff. I went in this am, needing to eat and get some last minute studying completed. I asked if I could sit near the back, was told, "No. You can sit here in the front." She escorts me to the table right behind the check in. I told her I needed to study, pointing out the backpack I had. She insisted, "you can sit here." I went ahead and took my business elsewhere. Thank you for your kindness!

I go to the Egg and the waitreses ALWAYS flirt with my fiance. They ask him what he wants to drink first and takes his food order everytime. They never make eye contact with me or ask me how I'm doing?? Oh but they ask my fiance. I've never been treated so badly in my life. My fiance even notices it and we are both disgusted. I'm the one that decides the tip so back off!!!!! The food is so expensive and the service sucks!!!!!!!!!
