Amazing experience! Q-Shi proves you should never Judge a book by its cover. From the outside its not impressive and honestly the inside isnt shiny and new, and ..... ITS PERFECT! Seriously, DO NOT change a thing! The atmosphere, coupled with an awesone fusion of BBQ and Sushi made for a perfect date night. We shared a california roll and a Q3 roll, and i definitely recommend trying the Q3! Its the perfect combo of shrimp, avocado and topped with brisket ... with just enough heat from the jalepeno and Sriracha. I ordered the Argentian Bowl (recommended by our server, Bo) and my husband ordered the Korean BBQ Beef Bowl. Neither one of us was too hip on sharing!! You can instantly tell the food is made with quality ingredients and pride. Ray, one of the owners, came to our table and talked to us for a while. He asked about service and food....and he was genuinely interested in our feedback. Bo, our server, who was 5 days in, was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and made our experience that much more delightful. We have already decided on what we are eating for the next few visits! We look forward to Q-Shi becoming a staple in our restaurant rotation and a long standing part of our community.

I have come here 2 times in one weekend and let me tell you the food is overall very good. The sushi and bbq blend is an incredible concept and the flavors show it. I have sampled the q shi 3, Kim chi fries, fried dumplings, asian sticky wings, and 2 kinds of fried rice dishes. The q shi is a perfect blend of surf and turf that has to be tasted! That being said, I was not blown away by the Kim chi fries as I felt they needed a bit more sriracha and other toppings. The dumplings were very good but not the best I have tasted. The teriyaki chicken fried rice was incredible, smoky rice and very tasty sauce truly made me fall in love. The smoked meat fried rice (under appetizers for some reason) was very good also, but I personally preferred the teriyaki flavor on the chicken. I tried my friends wings and was surprised they seemed overcooked and somewhat dry, even though the sauce was amazing. As I said overall the food was awesome, but I was surprised at the wings (as was he). I will most certainly return, and hopefully the service will be better when their not jam packed as that was the only other gripe I had. You can not go wrong giving this place your business, it is worth driving from across town to taste!

Will wonders never cease! When a friend told me about this venue, BBQ and sushi under the same roof?, I had to check it out! Q-shi is housed in a former Pizza Hut building. The place was packed and I was asked if would mind sitting at the sushi bar. I definitely had no problem with that. I just wanted to hurry up and sample the goodness I had been told about. I didnt have enough time to try out many dishes that caught my eye sitting at the sushi bar. I ordered the BBQ Bento 3, 2 ribs, 1 crispy BBQ brisket roll, smoked meat fried rice, pickled cucumber salad, southwest corn. Living in Austin, TX, I am very partial to the Central Texas BBQ style but the BBQ ribs, smoked meat fried rice and southwest corn brought back memories of family gatherings at my grandparents home. This owner and I must be related. Normally, I decline dessert but my fabulous waitress Alisha talked me into having dessert, Fried Cheesecake Roll. Actually, I bought three to go! Without a doubt, Ill have to take another road trip to Spring to partake of some of the delectable delights that I saw whilst perusing the menu.

Firstly, I apologize that we stayed so late yesterday - up to 30 min after closing. I wish I had paid attention to closing time, but thank you for continuing to be courteous to us nevertheless. Secondly, this was my first time there. I like that there is tented seating for a waiting area with a cooler filled with water bottles. That was a nice touch, especially for our large party. Third, I liked that there was no issue with ordering a custom roll. I loved the Philadelphia roll with the brisket and bbq sauce. I am a wimp so I preferred it without the sauce with the latent small kick. For anyone who regularly eats spicy food, I am sure it would go nearly undetectable as "spicy," but a nice aftertaste. Fourth, our server was amazing. She recommended according to our tastes and was on top of my refill. The other individuals we met were also incredibly generous and welcoming. I didnt feel it was disgenuine. If you have read this far, I am hoping you are already in line. I highly recommend you try this place!

Excellent food, service and owners! Thank you! Will definitely add this restaurant to my favorite list! These days it is hard to find a restaurant that has great food, but even harder to find a restaurant that has excellent service as well. The owners truly care for their business. After our first meal at this place the owner asked how our visit was even more impressive the chief came out to ask how we liked or disliked what we ate. It is impressive that the owners and chiefs want to build and better their business and care about the opinions of their customers. I have to say the 2nd visit was just as impressive to us as the owners spent a few minutes with us and other customers talking to them and getting to know them. The food is amazing too, the combination of flavors and options are excellent. Give this place a try you wont regret it!

This place is so outstanding, I had to eat here two days in a row for lunch. Not only is the food amazing, there is something very special about eating in a local restaurant that takes such pride in service and quality. Outstanding. I have tried over a dozen menu items and I cant enough. I highly recommend when coming here, one does not make a choice between sushi or BBQ but only make choices that specialize in both. Q-shi 3 and Q-shi 4 rolls were both outstanding, each with a unique twist incorporating BBQ and sushi rolls. Also, the surf n turf pockets ranked highly for me along w the kimchi loaded fries. I will be bringing anyone and everyone I can for the foreseeable near future. Well done!

What can I say that everyone on here hasnt already said. This place is fantastic. A true gem in the 45/Spring Cypress area that you would not except to find. Dinning here was a true experience, the food was amazing, and everyone in there is warm and welcoming as if you were walking into a family members house. Robert, one of the owners, was a pleasure to meet and you can tell he truly loves what he is doing; which shows in their food. If your in the Spring area and looking for a great time, or just want some outstanding food, do yourself a favor and stop at Q-Shi. P.S. the menu is out of this world so if in doubt just ask the staff, theyll steer you in the right direction. :) Enjoy!

My boyfriend and I were in the area and decided to eat here on a whim. This was not a mistake! The food was great, unlike anything we have ever had, we enjoyed the atmosphere as well as the staff. It is also a nice touch that one of the owners was there to welcome us and took some time to explain the ins and outs of the menu. We got the BBQ crispy rolls, which were brisket spring rolls with a thin barbeque dipping sauce and the Spicy Mary Roll with tempura crawfish and the Q-Shi #4, which has avocado, cream cheese, brisket, tuna and a spicy mayo on top! Soon after leaving we both noticed our family members that live in the area of our experience and recommended that they try it.
