This did not happen recently. In 2010, approx. summer time I went here for the first time. I ordered an omelet and a belgium waffle. I didnt like the waffle and let my waitress know and she took it away. When the meal was over and the check came the waffle was still on it and she stated I needed to speak with the manager. I spoke with an older lady who stated that no one else had a problem with the waffle. That was it-thats all she stated. After her I spoke with a man who reiterated what she said, and wouldnt take the waffle off of my check, even though I only had no more than 3 bites. Contacted the BBB, but of course nothing came of it. I would NEVER eat here again, and have for this past year let many people know of the horrible service I received at this establishment. Shame on Lancers for becoming defensive when a customer has a problem with something they eat at the establishment. I made sure to tip the waitress what she deserved, as a former waitress I make sure not to confuse food quality with service.

Listen. Me and my 3 friends were enjoying a nice night and wanted to come to a homely diner and went to Lancers. We pull up and walk into the lobby and are greeted with anything but homely. First the hostess was unpleasant and short with us. We wait 10 minutes to get seated in a half empty resturant. The hostess completely ignored us. Finally, we get seated and look over our menus. We wait for our waiter. We wait. We wait. We wait. 45 minutes go by and we havent even seen our waiter yet. We are parched and no one has even acknowledged our prescence. Meanwhile, a couple who had come in after us was being served and enjoying their coffee. Personally hurt, and feeling attacked we get up and leave. This place made us feel unwelcomed and hated. Horrible experience. No one should have to endure this kind of emotional pain. Will never go to again.

Poor service a hair in our food and then they claim they cant do anything about it because they claim no body in there at the time has there has that color hair and then the women who rang us out made it a point to tell us she has a black man in the kitchen whos hair was shorter than ours (which I really think race has absolutely nothing to do with it) not only did she say it once, or twice but about four times. But then so where we so it most definitely wasnt any of ours. But any way I will NEVER GO THERE EVER AGAIN.... SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE AND JUST GO TO RED LION DINER UP THE STREET. Everyone there is awesome and the food is awesome and the prices are exceptional.

WHAT A GREAT PLACE!!!!!!! Staff is extremely friendly ( Make you feel like family). Food is above excellent and plenty of it. The salad bar has the ingredients that you usually dont see such as crab meat. As far as the diner itself---IT IS ALWAYS SPOTLESS!!! The only flaw I can see is one waitress named Maria who never comes back after she literally drops your food on the table. But trust me with the food, the facility and the rest of the staff, one bad apple cant spoil this bunch!!!! OH YEAH The treat our granddaughter ( Who is 4) like she is royalty!!! Gotta love that!!

Worst diner Ive ever been and never going back. Came here a while back with a group of 8. Only 2 other tables here so wasnt busy at all. Server was very slow and terrible. She kept complaining how she worked double shift which is no excuse to never stop by and add a 20% tip to our bill. I didnt even get my au jus for my French dip for 30 minutes even with multiple requests. Food was terrible. Save yourself a meal and go anywhere but this place.

Had the stuffed crab flounder. The crab stuffing was nothing but bread and onions. Came with two side orders ordered the asparagus and it looked like boiled grass. Got dessert with my special and asked for jello. Well the jello must have been in the fridge for at least two week. Very hard. If you can eat some place else. Staff is friendly but I didnt come for staff came to eat. Gave it a one star rating cause that was the least you can give

I can only rate what I ordered, FAIL. The open faced turkey sandwich is horrible. The meat had to have just come out of the freezer, and then microwaved. I am guessing because the meat on side of the sandwich was hot, and the other side was really cold, and it was really dry. The gravy had to have been nothing more than water and flour. The diet pepsi was exceptional! :)

If you are looking for a nice "small town" diner, you have come to the right place. This diner is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week and always willing to serve. A lot of people who come in to Lancers Diner become regulars just from the small town feeling you get by walking in. I believe that if you try this diner, you will be going back with friends and family.

Service was good however Broiled Seafood combination left a lot to be desired especially for $21.99. Tails were left on shrimp and covered with a filler crabmeat. Same filler was used on stuffed trout, (or some other fish) bit it wasnt the salmon advertised. This place may be good for breakfast however I wont be back.

Always plenty to eat, typically portions are big enough to bring extra home, the service is great, its clean, and the prices are good. If youre dissatisfied here, youre doing something wrong. As a regular for years, I know theyll always put things right if theres an issue (which is exceedingly rare).

My fiancé and I had breakfast here on Saturday morning, by Saturday evening we were both confined to our bed with the worst food poisoning ever! After 48 hours of vomiting, diarrhea, and sever dehydration we are finally starting to feel more like ourselves. Safe to safe we will never return.

I have been here twice so far and I will definitely be come back. The place is very clean and modern looking,the food is quintessential diner fare. Nothing fancy, but not greasy or grimy either. Just good old fashioned cooking. The waitresses are great even late night and the price be beat.

Just had steak and eggs here and it was basically a piece of meat that was just thawed after Being in a freezer for god knows how long with a slap of batch eggs on the side . I wasnt expecting steak house quality but damn some seasoning would have been nice , prob stick to pancakes here

The food they serve is good and always brought out hot. The employees/owners have always been very kind to my family and especially my kids. It is nice to eat at a diner where kids dont get treated like they are a nuisance to the employees. I will definately take my family there again.

Its a hit or miss, wasnt a pleasant experience during the week. It seemed like all workers are angry. From hostess to server, to food. Went on the weekend and it was like night and day. Hostesses were friendly, food was good and same server as last time was friendlier this time.

The service was nice and the wait staff was very nice and I loved the salad bar but the meal wasnt really good, the steak I got was pretty much a hambuger with onions and gravy on it, the meatloaf that my friend has wasnt that good either, it was hard and didnt have good taste.
