Our last meal with hubbyMs parents before heading to the airport and we were in the mood for BBQ. Apparently they regularly pick up dinner to-go from here. But for me and hubby it was our first time. So we ordered the Meat Sampler. Heres what we tried... Sausage - definitely my favorite meat! So many BBQ places only offer a hot sausage. But this wasnt spicy at all and still had great flavor! Ham - probably the least exciting meat. I didnt taste much of a smoker flavor. It didnt seem any different from any store bought ham. Pulled Pork - this would be my other favorite! I find most pulled pork to be pretty flavorless and requires lots of sauce. But this had tons of smokiness and juicy, delicious fat. Beef Rib - I requested a Beef Rib instead of pork. While it was huge, it was mostly bone. Also, it didnt have much seasoning on its own and really needed sauce. Brisket - lots of smokey flavor, but not as juicy and fatty and tender as Ive had at other places. Loaded Baked Potato - our plate came with two sides. But for $1.35 extra you can replace both with this huge potato covered in butter, cheese and chives. Make sure to stope by their toppings bar for sour cream. Yum!! Id love to try this again. Id do the sausage, pulled pork and potato again. Maybe try the pork Ribs or chicken?

really like Pappas.. great meat, great price. Tried Countrytime (its actually closer to where I live in Imperial Oaks) but got some weird mystery meat. The only thing I dont like about Pappas (like most BBQ places) is: what is up with the bread? I guess I cant complain since its free. Also I have to echo the other comments about the BBQ sauce flavor -- its just ok... but the meat is fantastic -- relatively lean (at least for the brisket that I tend to get), moist, really good. The atmosphere is great to me, too. Dont know what Richard didnt like about it? The veggies are decent, too. Also, their brownies are incredible. Dont get them unless you like rich chocolate.. intense -- not too sweet, but very rich. Awesome. Quick tip: if you go through the drive through and bring home a pound of brisket, youre going to be getting a much better meal at prices comparable to McDonalds! Youll pay a bunch for fries, though, if you want those (but the fries are worth every penny.)

Brought friends visiting from California that have never been to Texas and wanted some good Texas BBQ and I use to come here all the time. Times have changed.. service was wacko, very unorganized. We would order something, Bacically tell her what we wanted and then she was yell something out and then we had no idea what she ordered.. the drink lady was so rude.. no one was friendly at all. My friends from cali probably think Texans are rude.. the only one was the cashier and I got a smile out of her.. which she usually works the service window and had to work as the cashier and I wouldnt want to work the cashier either it was a mess.. also my food was cold.. half of my sausage was cold.. it was gross. I wont be back.

Worst place when it comes to customer service. The woman who takes drive thru orders during breakfast is rude and univiting. She took my order, and repeated it back to me. My mom hearing it too. I get to the window to pay and we do our exchange. I ask her for my drink and she said I didnt order one. I said yes I did and you even repeated it back. She got an attitude and basically called me liar indirectly. I kept my cool when I could have easily quickened to anger and ask for a manager. I doubt that wouldve made anything better since this person was obviously trained to be this way. I work in customer service as a store manager and this is not how I train my team to be. Never coming back again.

Was really surprised and disappointed in the Pappas brand producing such low quality food as Pappadeux Seafood is one of our absolute favorite restaurants. I have to say this was honestly the worst BBQ I have had since moving to Texas two years ago. $17.59 lunch tab for one meal consisting of two tough and dry pork ribs and a few slices of dry brisket (think roast beef-ish). And as others had noted, the BBQ sauce is yuck. Threw half my meal in the trash, which I never do at a BBQ place as I love BBQ. Skip this place and go next door to Pallottas Italian instead and get the Minestrone soup for just $3.59 (small) or $5.59 (large) which includes fresh baked bread. It is fresh, healthy and amazing.

I used to love eating here, but lately the food has been very disappointing. We ordered baked potatos with sliced beef. We got potatos that were not hot as the butter was melting or blending with the cold sour cream. The cheese didnt even melt. And the beef was mostly fat. The parts you take off before serving to anyone. And they need a better recipe for BBQ sauce. I got it on the side and it tasted like soy/worcestershire sauce. I got the sliced beef as opposed to chopped since its $1 cheaper. But I honestly think I was over charged....I paid $22.62 for two baked potatos. I plan on going back to double check the price. And will leave a comment online as well.

Food is bad service is even worse. I have been to this location three times now hoping for it to be better and everytime I leave more disappointed. The brisket was about 90% fat and when I brought it back to the counter they instructed me to go find a manager. The manager told me when I order brisket to ask for extra lean or they will cut it that way. I hope they improve because I love to support my local businesses but I will no longer be going to eat at this establishment.

My boss makes me go here a lot. Every time I get anything here, I seem to get sick. Last time was the cheeseburger, I could not even bring myself to eat it, it smelled like feet. Dont even get me started on how greasy the burger was. I hate eating here, if I was not forced to do all the time, I would not. The only thing I think I can eat there is their french fries. If in the Woodlands area, I suggest Country Time BBQ on Richards Rd.

I went to lunch, had 40 minutes, I asked for a half chicken with potatoes, the chicken looked good on the outside but inside it was totally raw so I decided to inform the waitress who told me that sbe could take it back to the kitchen To be finished cooking the waitress was a great help, by the time the chicken came back well cooked it waz time to return to work so I could not eat for what I paid, it was a bad experience.

Not a traditional "sit-n-serve" restaurant. A quick order and serve cafeteria style restaurant. Meat (Chicken, Ribs, Sausage) is all good(w/o bbq sauce). The only thing I did not like was the BBQ Sauce. The orignal sauce was okay, but the sweet n spicy sauce was terrible! The restaurant was clean, not very dirty at all! Would probably go back for quick bbq or order from drive thru and take home and use my own sauce.
