I have eaten their twice and will order the food again. Loved the beef with broccoli, the various rices, the flatbread, and the lemon chicken. The Pad Thai was well cooked food but...not pad thai. I had to look up the recipe to see what they excluded, which I think was accidental. It was missing some essential flavoring...rice vinegar, cilantro, honey, fish sauce, etc. The chicken, noodles, and onions were cooked nicely but, the flavor was missing. I hope this gets worked out. The Thai shrimp appetizer was pretty good but, again, it needs more seasoning. The shrimp coating is authentic but it needs flavor or the oil it fries in will be the flavor and hope that is fresh. The Thai sauce lacked...spice. Im interested in trying the burger. As far as ambience, its hit and miss for me. If you want to feed a date, then carry out may be the way to go. There is this disco tech stuff beating over the speakers and the restaurant is loud. If the bar is busy, you will hear it over in the restaurant. Also, we had the "whispering" waiter which would have been really cool except that his fund shai doesnt match the restaurant. Know whut I mean Vern? The disco and bar patrons drowned out his "ah-so" cool vibe. I like this restaurant for take out as there is no other Asian option in Southtown. I hope they get the vibe and inconsistencies in the kitchen worked out because I want to really like this place for everything on the menu.

Given the poverty of Asian cuisine downtown, a decent Chinese restaurant is a welcome addition. Kung Fu has a nice atmosphere, chic interior design, and a thoughtful bar. Like some of the other reviews, I had poor service. It took quite a while just to get water. The server was not knowledgeable about the menu and had to go to the kitchen to relay questions. Biggest complaint is that the menu is rather limited, especially if you subtract the burgers and flatbreads and other non-Asian items, leaving just Chinese dishes (and a couple fusion picks like Pad Thai). This is particularly true for vegetarian/vegan options. Only a handful of V entrees and a couple of V side dishes. The menu does not advertise tofu substitution for proteins. They really could have accommodated different diets better with just a few tweaks. Having said that, the dishes I tried were pretty good. Not outstanding, even by SATX standards, but still good enough that I would return. Wish they focused as much on the basics of food and service as they did modishness, music, and mixology.

For Dinner we had the broccoli and beef with the combination fried rice upgrade and the ginger chicken lettuce wraps. The serving size for the both the appetizer and dish were more than we expected. We almost couldnt finish the beef and broccoli. The waitress checked up on us very often but managment never did. There is a nice amount of patio space here. The largest patio portion even has fan with mist sprays which i thought was a nice touch. The each male and female restroom can handle only one customer at a time. This place was very easy to find the the prices in my opinion are fair for the delicious food.

They have a great selection of food. The Pad Thai Noodles were very flavorful and the Triple delight was great. Thier fried rice was perfect. They even had thier own versions of burgers and pizzas that we will definitely be trying next time. The bar and the patio seating was comfortable even though we visited during the lunch crowd. Wait staff was attentive and made you feel like a regular customer even though it was our first time there. The happy hour selection looked amazing! We would definitely go back!

This place is the best thing to happen to Southtown/Downtown since Rosarios. If you are looking for a better than average restaurant then dont come here. Because this place is better than that. Its clean, excellent food quality, nice ambience, and the service has the potential to be the best. Lunch is pretty busy but the food is worth the wait. This is my first 5 star review because thats how good this place is.

We had a family gathering of 25 people and only had one waiter taking our orders. Our waiter was very unorganized and it took two hours to get our food. The food was mediocre at best and the bill was not itemized. Once I added up all of the items individually they tried to over charge me and my wife by $15. Never again!

We went at 11:40 waited till 12:45 food never came. The waiter wasn’t sure about the status. The food was served to people who came after us. We were disappointed and left the place. I will never go there again!!! It was terrible!!!Dont be fooled, the service was very poor. Customer service is highly unacceptable.

Saw this place when on my weekly bike ride. Great find and loved the look of this place. The appetizer and food were good. Happy hour was also a plus but it was just a little too hot to be sitting outside. Thank goodness they had fans and misters to cool off a bit. Highly recommend. - photos by JRT Photoart

Theyre trying to do way too much, and everything is just ok. -If you want good Chinese/fusion go to Hot Joy -If you want good flatbread pizza go to Il Forno -If you want good tacos go anywhere else. (To be fair, the only thing I did love on their menu was the fish tacos) Outdoor bar is a nice touch though!

Great food! Great drinks (pineapple cooler). Great atmosphere. I love the variety of music being played. Great service & workers. Id only add for the teriyaki chicken, cut down on the water chestnuts, and put smaller sized onions and bell peppers. They were kabob sized. Overall, Ill be back!

Definitely needs to work out the kinks still. They were out of ingredients to make drinks and even limes. The happy hour isnt bad and the food is good. Its owned by the same people who owned China Garden but this is. Definite improvement. Would come back again and try it.

Amazing!! Came with a group and we shared the postickers and lettuce wraps for appetizers. Yum!! I got the pepper steak for my entree and it was incredible! They give you large portions so youll most likely have some food left over to take home. Mickey was awesome!

This place is up and coming, and has great potential. We ordered the beef and broccoli, Mongolian beef, orange chicken, wings, and wonton soup. The portions were well served for the price point. The food was tasty and the service was friendly.

Cocktails are handcrafted. Service was great. Lettuce wraps and lemon pepper wings were ok, but the 1010 burger was the standout! It was missing the avocado (because they were out), but otherwise a very good experience.
