The food here is good overall. If youre looking for a decent meal with a nice atmosphere I recommend this place. The decor is nice and they have good sushi as well. My major problem and reason for the 2 star review is the service. I have been to Asian City numerous times and the waiters Ive had have always been very nice and attentive most times. The waiters are great. The hostesses on the other hand...are horrible. They always have an attitude whether it be on the phone or in person. I find this extremely upsetting because they are the first people to greet you as soon as you walk in and if their attitude sucks then it starts your whole meal on a bad note. I hope the owner, Richard, reads this and has a serious talk with the hostesses. I know Im not the first review to complain about them. They really need to hire new ones. A banana could do their job. Its not hard to find new hostesses. If their attitude stays then theyll be losing me as a costumer. The food isnt worth being treated poorly.

First time going there. Wanted to treat my parents to some Chinese food for Chinese New Year . Our waiter brought ours drinks to the table. Their was four of us at the table. On the last drink was my tea. The waiter lost control of his tray and the drink flip on the table and spilling. The Drink went every where and on the benchs. My sweater and bra was soak in a softball size . My mother and I had to sit the with our bottom wet. The waiter said his manger told him to tell us all they can do is pay for our dry cleaning bill. By the time we left I had to walk right behind my mother cause she had light pants on, and had half her behind stain wet brown .Luckily I had on black pants so you couldnt see my wet spots. Both had to come home a shower cause tea . NOT even offering to take something off the bill.

Wife walked in at 10:11pm was told they stop seating for the grill at 10:20pm and since she was waiting on me she couldnt be seated she didnt want a seat she wanted to order to go. I get there at 10:18 pm. we are told all the chiefs went home. I understand it was 40 mins till closing, but why would you send all the Chiefs home? Maybe they should change the open hours posted online and the building. This was the last straw as they have previously gotten our orders wrong we check before we leave the building and the staff acts like we are a nuisance, when asked to correct the order........ update gave them another chance food was good but our waiter didnt pay much attention and even another employee told him about it. But he blew her off. Drink got refilled once.

Service was terrible, I know they were very busy but you could tell that there was no organization. People walking around that seemed lost, we waited 45 minutes for a table and then after being seated we waited 28 minutes and nobody ever came to take our drink order much less our food order. There was absolutely no excuse for that I dont care how busy a place is somebody could at least have come over and taken our drink order. Servers and waiters just passed by us without even speaking we finally left and went to Papasitos where the service was totally awesome and they were packed so it can be done if the staff is alert and trained. Asian City was a terrible experience and we wont go back ever!

Monday at 3 pm. We wanted to eat before catching our flight. The Chef specially prepared Sesame Beef and Kimchi fried Rice without soy or hoisin sauce because I and my daughter are gluten intolerant. My brother is allergic to eggs the Chef made him Vegetable Fried Rice without Eggs. The Chef was worried about the taste, however, the food was Five Stars all around. So delicious he should make a gluten free menu!!!! The waitress was awesome she really cared about our family she personally to an interest in the health of our family. I highly recommend Asian City in Humble, TX

Terrible first impression. I just left the place 04/24/17 at around 5:30pm. It was Not busy at all. I was in table 51. My server, some blonde guy with saggy pants, took my drink order and then completely forgot about me. He passed me up about 5 times and I made eye contact with him twice of those 5 times... He did not come to take my food order. I just left and told the host, that Im just going somewhere else instead. All I hear her screaming in the background was "hey whos 51." Try China River instead. Way better service and food is great! Will not be coming back here.

It was yummy good! We did the hibachi and i was a little jealous when I saw them cook the scallops and I hadnt ordered them. The way he cooked them and seasoned them made me want to cancel my order and start over. But next time. I even ordered a shaggy dog and it was light and not weighed down like some. We had steak and shrimp and the steak was perfect and we didnt all order it the same way. I failed to take the photo again. When I mess up and taste the food before I get the pic and its good...., well, I forget myself. But this is a place to go.

Food is always great...called in a to go order yesterday and the lady was very rude, yelling over the phone, talked to me like I was stupid when I asked questions, very sassy and snappy. I had to hang up on her, my friend called in my order ten to twenty minutes later and it was a male on the phone who was much more helpful, answered any questions and told me my total right away. When I asked for my total from the woman she replied she wouldnt give it to me because she wasnt going to punch it in right away.

Ordered a Take-out order so I cant comment on service but the decor is nice. I can gaurantee this place is an excellent value. Above average sushi at an affordable (almost budget prices). Is it the best Ive ever had? No, but I usually pay 3x as much. Dont get me wrong the food was excellent. The quality to cost ratio is very high, making this place a staple from now on. So 4 stars for the food, and +1 bonus star for being cheap- 5 stars hands down. TL;DR- Above average food for excellent prices.

I normally have a great experience, but today it was totally horrible. I placed a to go order and when I arrived it was not ready. The host asked what did I order, went to the back and returned with no food. Helped someone else went to the back again and returned with no food. After 15 minutes I went to my car without my food. Called back to cancel my order, the host screamed at me, I asked for the manager, he offered discount....why would I want the food at this point. Very disappointed.

Go here for the sushi. They have, by far, the best sushi in Houston, and probably the best I have tried anywhere. Even my boyfriend, who is a "sushi afficianado" from the west coast, and thought he was going to be dissapointed by sushi in Houston, said it was the best sushi he had ever had. The Lo Mein and the egg drop soup (the only other things Ive tried) are great too. The service is also great, unlike some sushi places, the servers arent cold and distant. And its pretty fast.
