I have been grateful enough to have experienced this place since 2010. It is a small atmosphere that creates a pleasant dining experience. I love EVERYTHING on their menu and have taken many people there and have received nothing but praise and addiction!! Their cuisine is unlike anything that you will experience anywhere else! I love sushi and have tried may places, and nothing compares to them! (I have been spoiled, lol) I enjoy going there with my boyfriend we both have never had an unpleasant experience or anything less than perfect cuisine! Just FYI, I know many people who travel from out of state and out of the nation and make it a point to eat here every time. Keep in mind, the only complaint that I have read and heard is the wait time and availability. The place is highly attractive and fills fast, so it is wise to call ahead and ask for a reservation if available in order to avoid frustration. I do this every time we attend and I have never had any problems! In addition, the restaurant is ran by the two owners (man and wife) and a dish washer. He is the sushi maker and she specializes in fried, prepared food. Obviously, when they are at their max the two can only do so much. I always fill the time with some Saki and appetizers (their Albacore Tuna Tataki is beyond explanation and the recipe is a family secret). Definitely the BEST, BEST, BEST, sushi restaurant I have ever been too and will continue to attend for as long as they are in business- which will be for a very long time due to their distinctive cuisine and addicted customers!!!!!!!

After reading the reviews and assessing my experience, I am sad to say it was one of the worst restaurant experiences in my life. The wait for sushi was going to be long so it was strongly suggested I order something from the regular menu. My daughter and I did so and continued to wait for another 35 minutes. The restaurant was hot and uncomfortable. The place is run by a husband and wife, so drink refills, etc. are not existent if hes cooking in the front and she was in the back. Once our food arrived, it lacked flavor, the salmon was not fresh and the sauce on top had minimal to no flavor. My daughter had chicken teriyaki, which also lacked flavor. I read the great reviews regarding the authenticity of the food, etc. and I was left lacking. I would not recommend this restaurant. I feel the service was below par, the flavor of the food was lacking and the atmosphere was uncomfortable. When I have a great dining experience I am not concerned about the expense, however, I had a difficult time parting with my money. I do not feel any part of the experience was worth the expense. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a pleasant evening out. I know this goes against all the reviews before, but I felt it was necessary to share this experience, since it is one of my worst and I would not wish this for someone attempting to spend time with family and have an enjoyable experience.

My husband and I have been going to sushi luck for some time and have always had an enjoyable experience, until today. When we sat down the wife asked us if there was a problem when we ate there several weeks ago. Confused, we said no, we love the food. She went on to tell us if we have a problem that she needs to know and still hanging on to the menus told us if we have a problem then we can order and leave. I asked her what happened. She said we did not leave a tip and felt we had a problem. I explained that Im Australian and tipping is not something we do. She said, well your in America now. Her verbal attack lasted several minutes and left us extremely uncomfortable and quite shaken up. I will never go there again.

When you drive up youll be a little concerned youre not in the right place. Go on in! It doesnt seat many, but its great! The owners/chef/servers are excellent and so nice. The sushi is better than Ive had at much higher end restaurants in bigger cities. Its a little more expensive than what you might find at some places in Corpus, but only by a few dollars. Its worth saving yourself the trip and gas money, and Sushi Luck will not disappoint. All in all, its excellent and we are so glad we found a great place to get sushi in Rockport.

Ive been coming here for years. The food is almost always perfect, but honestly the environment is why I always go back. Youre in a tiny dining area and the couple who runs the restaurant will either chat with you or not depending on if you want them to and if they have time. Its always fun to bring a small group on a weekend and ask the owner for tips on how to eat and flavor the food. They are both so incredible, I will always recommend this restaurant.

We love Japanese food, but our experience here, was not good. I think that the sushi and sashimi are good, but the Bento box that weve ordered, was the worst in all my life. We ordered a salmon bento box. The fish were 4 small pieces, not a file, with a very salty sauce. So I return the plate and the chef told me with angry voice and mud, that I was the first person who did that. I felt very unwelcome and guilty. Well never come back to that place.

Gave it a try, ordered 4 rolls didnt like any of them, they were lackluster and small portions. If you dont mind paying full price for half price sushi this is your place, because its the only game in town. They dont offer any selections from local fish even though they are located right next to a local fish market. My kids didnt like the rolls either and they eat sushi with me often.

This place used to be great but now its on the decline. We have been coming here for 6 years. The Sushi was not fresh and awful tasting. The service was slower than usual. Will never come back. Too bad. I was hoping the owners of this place would make it but they obviously dont want to invest in the success of their business. Pass on this place wheN you visit Rockport.

This reaaurant is run by a husband and wife team from Japan. It reminds me of the little mom and pop sushi resaurnts you find in Japan. We always make it part of our trips to Rockport. The fish is amazingly fresh for such a tiny community so far from a major airport. The restaurant is very small with maybe seven tables so call ahead to get a table. You will love it.

Very cute little restaurant built in an old home. A real mom and pop operation. Great place to take a date mostly due to this places charm. Youll definitely want to make a reservation because this place only has a few tables.

I can relate to some of the complaints Im reading, a couple of years back we ate here. The lady was quite rude and went on to lets us know we were not eating it right. Didnt know there was a right way to eat sushi lol.
