The service seemed nice until we were seated. I ordered a Waffle, after which the waitress asked what toppings I wanted, as though it came with the meal, I ordered strawberries, then after being pushed by the waitress I got another, thinking it was a part of my meal. I quickly realized when the bill came that was NOT the case. The price of my meal had been doubled with the single strawberry and few chocolate chips I had received with and in my waffle. When it came to paying for our food the waitress didnt even ask if we wanted a separate bill, we received one bill, and 10 minutes of waiting for her to come back in order for us to pay. Despite us trying to get her attention she continued chattering away with her bar and kitchen mates paying no heed to her table. After finally flagging her down after getting up and getting her attention it then took her another 15 minutes to bring back my friends debit card. She continued to chat amongst other things with the debit card in hand like she had all the time in the world, while my friends and I were trying to catch one of the last early trains home. After the terrible service and finally, after what seemed like and eternity receiving the debit card back we decided not to leave a tip. We then left and were halfway down the road when we heard the loud yelling of a young woman. Our waitress. Yelling "ladies! Ladies!" At the top of her lungs. She had left her place of work to track us down and called us back to her. Assuming she was flagging us down because we forgot something we rushed back. It was very apparent that was not the case when we got back to her. In a very rude and sassy voice she asked us about her service, as she held our reciept to our noses. We replied that we were very dissatisfied with her service, in which she replied in a very snobby and high school girl esk voice "Not leaving a tip is not okay to do to any waitress ever. But you ladies have a great night." If youve ever seen mean girls, imagine Regina Georges voice, that is exactly how she spoke to us, as if she were one of the plastics and we were dirt beneith her feet. I highly, highly recommend you do NOT eat here!

We came to this place because Beer Works across the street had a 2 hour wait time and this place just had a short line. Now we know why. We ordered calamari as an appetizer and it was not seasoned. Although the marinara sauce was good, Ive never had to put salt on calamari before. My boyfriend ordered a small pizza, which was mediocre to say the least for a $13 pizza. It was mostly crust and weve eaten better frozen pizza than that. I had the Steak Combo sandwich, which was okay. I asked them for swiss cheese instead of American cheese, but they still used American cheese and CHARGED me for the Swiss cheese. The blueberry limoncello martini ($12) was the only thing I truly enjoyed, but I wish they would have listed the prices on the menu. The bartenders were good and quick. The kitchen needs to step up their game. In the girls bathroom, they had one bathroom out of two that had an"Out of Order" sign on it, which is unacceptable when you have a Halloween crowd in town. Honestly, after spending $100 there, it wasnt worth it.

There are many fine establishments in Salem where one can get lunch or dinner. This isnt one of them. We shared a fishermens platter. Our scallops were overcooked and rubbery, our whole belly clams were mostly strips, the onion rings were burnt on the edges and undercooked (oil too hot). The fried fish was too thin in spots, making it tough and dry. We also had a caprese salad appetizer. The "freshest tomatoes" were supermarket beefsteaks; they apparently couldnt even be bothered to try for tomatoes on the vine. To top it off, though the place was pretty empty, the service sucked; we never got drink refills nor did the waitress ever check on us, and it took forever to get tartar sauce. (I immediately gave up trying for a lemon.) She did take 25% off the bill when we complained about the scallops. My advice is to go across the street to the Beer Works. Wish I had.

We came in while it was not very busy, around 1PM. The food was fantastic and it seemed like the chefs really knew what they were doing. However, the service was terrible. I am a server and was very disappointed. The server we had didnt bring us our food when the cook rang the bell when the order was up. Instead she waited on the other side of the restaurant talking to the other workers. Then she didnt even check on us to see how our food was or to see if we needed refills. Which we did. Then she didnt give us our check until we were far done with our food but was instead talking to other servers. There was also a server at the table behind us who answered a call on her cellphone and had it behind her back while delivering food, then proceeded to talk on it at the bar. We were both so disappointed because the food was so amazing. It was a sour end to our trip in Salem.

I come here often, but no longer. The food is great, but the staff is terrible. I often will wait 5-10 minutes at a time, wanting to order, get a refill or even get my food because the lousy staff is busy talking to each other at the bar. Thats all they do. Just talk to each other, or, God forbid their family comes in. Then you might as well just turn this place back into its old buffet style self, since youre pretty much on your own. Meals that should take less than a half an hour to get through take more than an hour, because the staff just doesnt care. If this place goes under, its because of word of mouth that the staff sucks. I have so much more to say, but Im nearing the character limit, so well just stop here. Avoid, for now. Maybe theyll retrain their current staff, or just get new people. Either way, as it is now is terrible.

The food was poor, hamburger undercooked, cheese steak sandwich with minimal cheese, paying with little flavor, and calm chowder no better than I can get out of a can. The real problem however was the service. After the food was served the waitress NEVER checked back with us. No drinks were refilled no dishes taken. When I was able to flag someone down of appeared to be the owner. Even with asking him to get our dishes cleared so I could clean up my kids no waitress came. We had to ask for a check with our jackets on standing by our table. The owner gave us our check and tried to say his staff was busy and understaffed. Neither was true....only about 5 tables in use and enough staff to cover one for each table. The most rude service I have ever gotten. Would not give this owner one more cent of my money.

At about 5:15p tonight, I ordered fettuccine alfredo, chicken and broccoli ziti with cream sauce and chocolate mousse via a food delivery app (Slice). To my suprise (based on my previous experience ordering dinner from other restaurants) the delivery service was fast! The food was very hot and absolutely delicious! I have never had such moist chicken. It literally fell apart when I sliced it with a plastic knife. The portions were large (two meals out of one, for me). Although one of the items I ordered was incorrect, they remedied it immediately, were very apologetic and had the correct item brought to me within 15 minutes. Additionally, they brought me a complimentary dessert. I will definitely eat here again! Excellent food and caring management.
