I came for the $10.40 Tax Day special, and Im really glad I did. Dugg Burger offers a great burger, with 4 choices of cheese, 12 daily toppings plus the "lucky 13", pop, shakes, beer and wine. Theres also bread pudding, which is made from a 70 year old family recipe, and uses the bread "dugg" out from the tops of the buns. You can order a la carte, or you can order a combo with fries and a drink For the burgers, you can choose from beef, chicken, or a Portobello mushroom. Cheese selections are American, cheddar, pepper jack, and Swiss, but you can skip the cheese if you prefer. The tops of the buns are "dugg" out to accommodate your choice of the 13 toppings available. Gluten free buns are available upon request, but if youd rather not have a bun, you can get your burger on mixed greens. They really aim to please at Dugg Burger! The 12 daily toppings include lettuce, grape tomatoes, dill pickles, Dugg Sauce (a spicy sauce with a Thousand Island base), ketchup, mustard, BBQ sauce, sauteed mushrooms, fire-roasted jalapenos, caramelized onions, crispy onion strings, and hickory-smoked bacon. Todays lucky 13 was picked jalapenos. Dugg Burger has shakes made with Henrys ice cream (made here in Plano), in vanilla bean, chocolate, and Oreo. For wine, there is cabernet and chardonnay. I suggest having a beer because the local beer selection is quite good, and the beers pair well with the burger and fries. The beers are mostly craft brewed, with the exception of Lone Star. Others offered include Local Buzz honey-rye golden ale, Dallas Blonde session ale, Mosaic IPA, Blood & Honey American ale, All Call kölsch, Lakewood Lager, Dunkel Munich dark lager and Nectar hard apple cider. I suspect these may change seasonally.

Good food - sometimes. The first time I went here, the person ringing me up didnt ask me what kind of meat I wanted. I realized as I was going through the line that I needed to make sure they knew I wanted a chicken burger because no one had asked by the time I got through the fixins line. They wrote chicken burger on the paper and told the kitchen...but what came out was beef. They apologized and then corrected the order...but the remake wasnt totally right either. They apologized and went above and beyond to fix it...by refunding my meal and offering me another meal next time, on them. Super great of them. The second time I came in, it was awesome. The third time I came in, the chicken was not cooked all the way, or properly, and the burger was very, very greasy. They re-made the burger, and it came out cooked, but again, very greasy. I had high hopes for this place...but 1 out 3 is a good batting average...not a good success rate for food at a restaurant. Especially when Im given chicken burgers that arent cooked through...thats dangerous.

Overall (4.8 stars composite score):. Bosses in the burger Food/Drink (100% 1.5 star total):. Delicious burgers and amazing with a mouth watering crust. I totally love how they hollow out the top bun to get more toppings into the sandwich. Fries are incredibly crispy and the coarsely cracked black pepper gives a beautiful accent. My chocolate milkshake was......Sublime. Smooth, creamy, and sinful. I need to do more good deeds to deserve this. Service (100% of 1.5 star total):. Shout out to our main man Greg (one of the owners). Service is stellar and everyone is boss when it comes to burgers. Value (80% of 1 star total):. Some may find the price higher than they would expect for burger. However remember that good things arent cheap and cheap things arent good. I would gladly open my wallet any day of the week for these folks. Atmosphere (100% of 1 star total): Contemporary decor with an upbeat music vibe. Clean and crisp bathrooms, which always give a good indicator of how clean the rest of the establishment is.

A unique concept in burger places. The staff was helpful and courteous. The burger toppings were a special treat. The shakes looked extraordinary (I did not have one). The fries were not as crispy as I like but they were ok. The big disappointment, however, was the burger itself. The patties were thin and consequently ours were overcooked (to the point of being dry and losing taste). It might help if one could specify how they like their burger cooked (I prefer medium). They also offer chicken and portobello burgers which might solve my issue but beef, after all, is the heart of the experience. Anyway, I recommend trying the Dugg Burger. It isnt often that a new concept like this comes along.

We had dinner there last night around 5 PM and there wasnt a crowd by any means. The cashier was friendly and so was the only person in charge of making burgers. But the poor guy looked frazzled. He was building our burgers while attending to other customers. Although, there were two other women who were walking around and perhaps getting other items taken care of, they never helped him with the line developing behind us. The burger was okay, nothing outstanding. The price was reasonable. The environment was nice, mainly due to the beautiful weather. The two stars are for the hospitality we received from the guy building our burgers.

I have been a long time Dugg Burger Fan, I have gone to the Plano location since it opened. I have seen the price go up (which I can forgive) but the quality has gone down big time.. the patty was less than half of what it use to be (Can you say wheres the beef), the fires were under cooked. It is sad to see a wining formula go down the toilet due to greed. You think that you can do a serious downgrade and customers cant tell a difference, today was the final straw .... I will not be back ever... lost a loyal customers! I taught it was not very busy when I went in like it use to be... now I know why.

Solid burgers with lots of topping options. I like that they offer a unique offering of topping options which you will not find most other places. Additionally, the base price of about eight dollars gets you a burger with your choice of any toppings including cheese, bacon, fried onions, grilled onions, sautéed mushrooms, grilled jalapeños... Really, the list is pretty extensive for the price. The fries are crispy and uniquely seasoned. The service was incredibly friendly and the dining room was very clean. Overall, the food was very good. We will probably be back if we are ever in that area again.

This burger place was different from others but that is what added to its charm. Simple menu consisting of basically a couple of items that really just changes depending on if you want a drink, beer or shake with your burger. The way they do their burgers and buns was brilliant. Very personalized. Each ingredient is clearly fresh as it is in front of you on a small skillet. You choose what is on your burger then they bring it to you after they cook the meat. Was very delicious and the skinny fries were great too! I would go back and tell friends about it too.

I visited a little after 1pm on a Friday and had no wait. The design concept is modern, clean and casual... Very inviting. The staff was very warm and inviting and explained the concept, which is a little different from your standard burger. The burger was really good... Nice and juicy and cooked a nice medium. The fries are thin/shoestring. They have a nice little selection of local brews as well. It is a little pricy and not my favorite burger, but it rates very highly on the list and the staff is great. Ill be back and recommend it!
