Im updating a review, I went last week. I use to love this place but this time when we went, we got the usual chicken wing and fries meal. My daughter had taken a few bites out of her chicken wing, i followed after. Shes a toddler and never finishes all the meat off the bone. Well the moment that I took a bite it was HORRIFIC! The smell smelt like wet hot dog! GROSS. I took the skin off another chicken wing to see if it smelled too and to my horror, it did. I called the waiter over trying not to vomit and feeling bad for my kid. He had an attitude and said everyone else eats them. Hes not our usual waiter but due to our experience one of our favorite places has turned into a place we will never go again.

Im ranking this a 5 star based on the casual dining places available in Pasadena, such as Monterreys, Cheddars, Panera Bread, Chilis Chipotle etc. I eat at Southmore Asian about once at week. The restaurant is clean, and the service is friendly and fast. On one occasion when they were particularly busy, I had to wait about 10 minutes for a table, but thats the longest. Ive seen the place completely full at lunch time. The food is great. Portion sizes are enough that I can make a lunch and afternoon snack out of it, and the prices are reasonable.

Food is great, I love the way they season their chicken and veggies. But there portions are really small, I guess b/c my hubby and I are use to a lot of food from Wok Dlite down the street. Usually our trays will be food but our to go order from Asian Fast Food was not like Panda Express gives us more lol. They literally gave me 1/4 of soup in a small container and spring rolls have no flavor what so ever. But the food is great, just not enough to fill you up. But I highly recommend.

Chef Petrillo is a genius. Ive lived in Europe for 22 years, four in France, and being a foodie, have eaten in some of the best restaurants in 22 European countries . If Z G were in France, theyd have at least one Guide Michelin star for presentation, preparation, quality, creativity of each and every one of their dishes. Chef P has my vote for best in the city . (Chef JS, sorry, but knowing you, its only temporary).

this is a nice little out of way restaurant. i remember when it was only open for breakfast, now i think its open pretty much all day. i went once when my mom was still alive. its what my parents would say was hoping. its tight inside, but the food is well worth it. its cooked to order and you feel as tho you are sitting there with the family. its just a nice place to eat

Affordable prices across the board. They have a few varieties of pho, nanh mi and rice platters to choose from. They also have tapioca tea, smoothies and coffee. I believe it is family owned, service is always great and the waiters/waitresses have been there for years.

Best sweet and sour chicken. I like how they are not like other restaurant where you ask for sweet and sour chicken and then they give you the chicken and the sweet and sour sauce separate. Awesome food for not an expensive price. Try it!

This place is cheap and has okay food. Portions are decently sized. The fried rice was not good and tasted of fish. Everything else tasted like something youd get at a mall. Good enough for what it is.

Awesome pho! The staff is friendly and they close later than the other Asian food joints around here. The portions are plentiful and you can even call in your order ahead of time.
