This was place was good. Been to many many places around the states and this is on par for the U.S. (obviously does not conpare to Japan itself. My only complaint was that they didnt have beef tataki (they served me beef dumplings) and the rice for the sushi could have been packed better or been more sticky. The other down side is they have a rather limited hot sake list. Sushi was good and fresh. Taste wise, compareable. The crab salad supprised me and was quite delicious. The biggest + of all is THEY HAVE RED BEAN ICE CREAM! very hard to find here in this area. So over all minor things i would change but 4 stars.

One of the best sushi restaurants in the city! The sushi is fresh and tasty, and they were very accommodating to my request to leave out anything spicy (like sauces, wasabi, etc.). Its Texas, everything everywhere is spicy (and I cant handle it LOL)! The presentation of the rolls is great. My mom is a big fan of the plates with the little LED lights and flowers, and I love getting a boat! Reminds me of when Id get sushi as a kid. The interior isnt much different than the other sushi restaurants in the city, but it still has the cozy lighting that would make it a great spot for a date! Delicious!

My husband ordered the chicken hibachi, I ordered the steak hibachi and also ramen for us to share. The salad was okay, but it was swimming in the dressing. The rice was awful, tasted like warm up rice, with the peas still cold. The vegetables were cold. Weve ate at many Japanese restaurants where ever we go to work and this place was very low to our standards. The ramen was tasteless but it was the only thing I could eat, after adding alot of soy sauce. I wouldnt recommend if your wanting hibachi or ramen. The better option is Shogun Sushi and Hibachi Steakhouse!

First time to eat here; was highly recommended by coworkers. My husband and I were very disappointed. The sushi was great, but the shrimp and scallop hibachi was horrible. Beyond horrible. The order was obviously rushed and the fried rice tasted like it came from a box. The "hibachi" veggies were steamed and the shrimp and scallops had a discussing sauce; definitely not hibachi. The house salad dressing was like water. Needless to say, I wont be back and will stick to Kobees from now on!

I had hibachi chicken and my husband had teriyaki chicken. When we did get out food, mine was cold while his was dreaming. Several pieces of chicken were bad that I spit out and had to put to the side. The veggies were very cold. Im not sure what you expect in rice but I love the fresh roce from most Jap restaurants and this seemed like fried rice I would get in a frozen meal. Overall service was alright but not food quality. I hate to say it.

Best sushi restaurant I have find in East Texas so far. Tuna is fresh and never frozen, sushi rice is made the old fashioned way with home made vinegar slurry. Salad dressing is also scratch made and incredibly addictive, I highly recommend it. Having reviewed over 100 sushi restaurants, I would put this one in the top 10 in texas. Cant wait to come back!! P.S. great lunch specials and pricing is very reasonable.

Pretty terrible hibachi. Had the steak hibachi and it was slathered in a very unflattering sauce. It was fairly difficult to avoid not having a bite covered in it. The sashimi were fairly large cuts and were ok. The wait staff did an alright job. The food was just very disappointing.

After dining here I paid with a credit card. It was $71 and I left a cash tip... The next few days I was checking my account and found they had charged me $79. On top of this, service was extremely slow and my water glass was empty the majority of dinner. Wont be returning.

One of three sushi places in Longview that I know of. The food is good and reasonably priced, but sometimes the salad is drenched in dressing, sometimes the tail end of a tempura sushi roll still has the shell on it... overall its pretty good though for whats available

I have eaten the Salmon Solo numerous times and always enjoy it. For the price and with my fondness for fresh raw salmon, it is the best deal on the menu, the best price for that much sushi and a salad anywhere!!! Alway fresh, always friendly!! Blessings,

AMAZING! Food is always great, service is excellent. Every experience is great! They remember our usual spot, they fix training chopsticks for my 3 yr old every time. All in all a grrat place to eat and enjoy company.
