AWFUL EXPERIENCE! NEVER COME HERE! I came here for dinner tonight with a buddy. We received okay service, and the food was good, but when we went to pay, we were told their internet was done, therefore, they could not accept credit cards. Um hello, did you not think to tell this to us upon our arrival? They generously offered to take a copy of our credit card information and contact info, and they would run the card at a different time. Um, were in the 21st century, 2017 to be exact.... you can literally accept a credit card on the phone... youre telling me they were all out of options? Seems unlikely! But wait, it gets better! They said we could go down the street to an ATM, get cash, and bring it back. How convenient for them. We waited an hour in an attempt for the service tech to get their, but to no avail. I ended up with no choice but to leave my exposed credit card information with them, which I am SUPER unhappy and uncomfortable about... they better hope I dont get overcharged by a penny from anyone, or theyre going to be blamed. In short, their customer service was not up to par, and they do not deserve your or my business.

This is my go-to restaurant for sushi in the Grapevine area. The staff is amazing, the sashimi is always fresh, the rolls are awesome, and the cost is very average. I have lived in Naples Florida for the past eight years, so I like to think that I know what good sushi is, and I am very pleased with Sushi Zen. I have yet to be disapointed with a single detail about this place. Do yourself a favor and start off with the "Avocado Bomb" from the appetizer menu (We always order two haha), and follow it up with the "Las Vegas Roll". You will NOT be disappointed! A+

This is a very consistent casual local sushi restaurant. They are inside a strip mall. The ambience is clean and slightly cafeteria like. The food comes out fast. They do high volume so the fish is fresh and you dont worry that it has been sitting too long. They have very experienced sushi chefs so the rolls are tight and the sashimi is cut well. The servers are fast and take care of their tables. They have great inexpensive lunch options. It is a wonderful healthy place for a fast meal.

A little expensive for food quaility, but the service was terrible. While we were dinning, we observed not one, but two couples leave the restaurant while waiting to order and waiting for the order to come up. Overall the sushi was good, quality appeared to be good, just a bit overpriced. If they considered a 15% drop in menu cost and hired at least one more observant server then they could really improve the presentation against a competing restaurant just 5 doors down.

This is by far our favorite sushi spot in the Southlake area. We feel that their sushi has great flavor and is a step above many of the other restaurants that we have tried. This time we had the spider roll, the shrimp tempura roll, the Thai Coconut Shrimp roll and the Sunshine roll. This place will get busy on a Friday night so if you go after 6:00 there may be a bit of a wait. The staff are helpful and work great as a team. We really think this is one of the best.

I visit at least 3x/month for lunch mostly. Its my go-to place. The yellowtail kama is the best valued item on the menu and its delicious! Difficult to beat 2 for 1 sushi during lunch as well. Sashimi is excellent. Im not a roll eater so I cant give an opinion on it. Service is usually quick and attentive. Looks like a family run business, but Im unsure if thats the case. I prefer Sushi Zen to any other Japanese restaurant in Southlake area.

I felt the satisfying feeling when one piece of sashimi filled my mouth. Its been about seven years since I had that feeling. Not all sashimis are created equal. The management knows that being generous is good for the food industry business. When generosity meets freshness and crafted by skilled chefs and happy servers, it creates the best experience of someones restaurant history. Definitely recommend this place to anyone

Im a bit of a sushi snob. I usually get sushi when I travel for work so I have the freedom to get spendy. The Unagi was a texture I havent had before. The hamachi and sake tasted very similar. The 2 rolls I got tasted a little fishy. If that last one made you laugh you should try a high end sushi place. My favorite in Denver is Sushi Den. That is some of the best sushi you will find to include Hawaii. Just my 2 cents

We had 6 rolls including the Yellowtail, Keller fire, Russian, Crunchy, as well as some tempora. All was very fresh and well prepared (although some rolls where not as tightly rolled), they have a nice knowledgeable staff, although language was sometimes a issue. The restaurant was decorated as expected and very clean. The food was very fast. Overall it was in a out of the way strip mall, but a very good decision.

Amazing sushi rolls EVERYTIME we go!!! Pleasant ambience, huge selection. Ahi Tower is one of a kind here! Pelican roll is my favorite and the volcano roll is pretty impressive. Sushi chef also top notch! I will not go anywhere else now!!!! And I am super picky about my sushi. This place is moderately priced but for the finest & freshest sushi in town, great price for expensive TASTE!

The food here was excellent. The menu has a good selection of interesting rolls. As a vegan, the options were quite limited, but they were there! I had the avocado roll and the fresh vegetable roll. They were both excellent. Their tempura has eggs so I did not get to try it. This is a good place to go with your vegetarian/vegan friend or family member.

Ive gone here twice. The first time was an incredible experience including probably the best sushi Ive ever had. I went there again recently to double down on my now pre-established expectations, and I was not disappointed. This place is incredible. If I lived closer, I would want to go here every day for lunch. Best Sushi in the DFW hands down!

I have been to ALOT of sushi place. NOTHING compares to Sushi Zen. Workers are really respectable and there sushi is to die for. I would recommend this to anyone to likes or doesnt like sushi. I have brought 5 people who didnt like sushi that now like sushi after eating sushi zen.

Nice choices with bento boxes and classic and specialty sushi rolls. Sashimi pieces were large, thick, and meltingly tender. One order of sushi was delayed (it had been ordered as an add-on to a bent box) and the staff was not only apologetic but also removed the charge.

Im a HUGE fan of sushi. Im from NYC and I thought I couldnt get good sushi here. Was very disappointed with all the sushi restaurants nearby. When this restaurant opened up I was pleasantly surprised. The service is great and the food is top notch, fresh!
