I have been eating here since the mid 1990s, back then they food was absolutely great! What it is now, seem to be a shadow of its former glory.. The food is cold more often than not, and the service is horrendous when talking to the people inside. They are rude, their tone seems to be constantly offended in nature and the only redeeming quality is that they (sometimes) repeat your order. That being said.. When I go there I order one of the most simple things to make that they could possibly ever get. I ordered a Foot long hot dog with cheese only, Fries, and a Route 44 soda. They repeated it back to me correctly, I got my food (as I was sitting on the benches outside) I paid the girl and gave a tip larger than the cost of the order due to her happy disposition. I checked my order.. I was given a foot long coney with chilly-cheese, onions and mustard, my fries where half tots, and my drink with further inspection was only a large. This type of thing has been happening more and more ever since until now I refuse to eat here. Horrible service, horrible food, and a ruined memory.

I order the same thing each time I visit. 1 SUPERsonic cheeseburger, mayo, no mustard, hold the pickels, onion and tomato. Supersonic means double meat... 1 SUPERsonic Jalapeno cheeseburger, with mayo, no mustard. Each and EVERY time, they give me a single cheeseburger, sometimes with and sometimes without the things I told them to hold, and my jalapeno burger. The jalapeno burger is fine, though they sometimes only put three jalapeno slices on it... But the SUPERsonic cheeseburger, I actually say it that way, Sometimes I even add the words double meat and cheese... They can never make it a double, and they can only half the time get the rest of the sandwich right. Get the order right, people. If you need to, get a tape recorder, and play it back a couple times to be sure its right. Something. How is it possible to never get an order right? All other sonics dont have this problem, only the lakeway store cant take an order.

Dont even bother stopping by this place, its a disgrace in comparison to other Sonic Drive-Ins I have been to. Rude and beyond unprofessional employees. My girlfriend loathed working there for the part of time she did because her co-workers(mainly the "arrogant carhops") were so obnoxious, acting like children("Throwing food at each other and offending practically /everyone/") during most her shifts and disrespectful to her to the point she couldnt handle it and left nearly after a month. Besides that simple drink orders take way longer than necessary and the food is only half decent in the morning.

I went for lunch a little after 2:00. Having worked at a Sonic before, I can tell you 100% if I was a secret shopper, you would have failed. It took FOREVER for someone to finally answer switchboard. Finally a very rude male carhop answered, I should have gone somewhere else after hearing him, but had limited time for lunch. The blonde with the poke mon gauges who brought out my order was very nice though. I wont be returning, which is a shame, because I always have to eat out for lunch when I work.

Very terrible service and rude employees. Firstly it took almost 20 mins aftwr I pushed the red button for them to even tske my order then after I placed it another 20 to get my order and it was wrong, when pointing it out the employee, she said oh we wont charge you because of all your drama your causing. Since then Ive tried them few other times for a simple drink and I have almost the same experience. I called the manager and they didnt seem to care about trying to improve everyones expirence.

Ordered the #10 chicken sandwich, a cherry limeade, and unsweet tea. The bun was soggy and wrinkled like they dropped it in the sink or something, and the tea was sweet. Nothing like working your *** off all day and getting super dehydrated only to spend your hard earned money on a $10 lump of soggy chicken and bread. This sandwich is better off as fishing bait. McDonalds sells better chicken sandwiches on their dollar menu. Ill go there next time. Lesson learned.

Standard Sonic. The reason for the one star rating was due to the customer service. When you almost get into an argument with the person taking your order, its not a good situation. Dear Sonic employee: A Diet Cherry Limeade is a VERY standard drink. If you have never heard of it maybe you should get some additional training. Dont tell me its not a drink because every other Sonic in Austin knows how to make it.

Ive given this location many tries to get better pick up the pace on service, but Ive now given up to this being the 4th time its taken over 5 minutes for them to even answer after I pushed the button and now waiting another 5-10 for a medium sweet tea. Ive only driven away once before after pushing the button 3 times with no response. My food has always been right, but its really not worth the wait.

If I could give no stars I would, because James, the jerk that took our order, didnt make sure our order was correct and just gave us soggy, nasty chicken. That was cold and not entirely what we ordered. We ordered a combo, 2 actually, and THIS GUY didnt make sure our order was right. And when I said, "wait, hang on." he hung up and was like no. So James should be fired and gave us cruddy karma.

Every time I get a burger here its overdone and dry. Also, the board says a combo is $6.50 and on Tuesdays there is a $2 discount, but when they ring everything up the combo is $8 with a $2 discount. What? How is your overdone and dry burger combo $8 regular price. No one elses single patty combo is $8. It cant be because you pay your workers a decent rate.

Over the last few months service has become unbearably slow. Im here now waiting for a hot dog i ordered over twenty minutes ago. I came for my boss a few weeks ago and waited 20 minutes just to place my order after pressing the button. When i went to the door to see if my button was perhaps broken, they were incredibly rude.

Absolutely despicable to wait more than 25 minutes for a burger and slush on a Monday afternoon. I understand it can be busy but if so tell your customers itll be a wait so that they can go to the grocery and run a few errands before they get their meal. Unfortunately I left before I got my order what a complete waste. $8.22

Ive been to Sonics all across Texas over my entire life and have never received service this bad. It took a solid 5 minutes to order for 2 people and required 2 employees inside to understand our simple order (two breakfast combos, large drinks). I dont see how that is so difficult for them, but the service was awful.

Waitress served my order in a broken very small bag, all my food was like compressed in that mini bag, was in hurry could not reorder. BTW, if you like cold Burger, thats the right place. There is a Whataburger across the street, definitely a better choice.

Absolutely terrible....ordered corndogs for my kids twice in a week and they were burnt the first time, so they gave us a free meal and they were burnt this time also....time to look at the management in this place...wtf!!!!! Its lakeway, should be better
