This is my third visit to this location. I felt bad about coming right before closing and I have to say, the cook (Sam) could have been a little cooler and more professional about his delivery and customer relations but in the end the food was great, and the cashier and manager were also really personable and friendly. The burger was cooked with more flavor than the last time I was here, and the bun wasnt as soggy... so thats a win!!! Unfortunately, they forgot the bacon, but I was cool about it and complained nicely. They wanted to bring me bacon separately but the way I eat, I devour my burgers fast, so they gave me a coupon for another burger and a free shake. Improve the customer service and kitchen staff attitude, and youve got a winner.

This hat creek location is very family friendly! They have a large outside eating area that over looks a nice play structure for kids. Id say the structure is most appropriate for kids 5 and up. For kids 5 and under, patents should consider hovering over them to prevent nasty falls. This location also serves beer from a brewery located just behind in. In fact, the two share the same parking lot. I have been here only a few times beginning this year and it seems like the menu has changed a few times but the quality of the food is always high. They have three specialty house sauces that are all delicious. This location is also great for children parties given the excellent outdoor space.

The only notable thing about this place is that it was fast, as the food came to me even before the person who ordered right in front of me. However, the burger patties were lukewarm and they put mustard on it when I asked them not too. The fries were also barely warm and limp. I think they gave me an extra order which had been sitting around, hence why it came to me in one second of time. The shake claimed to be smore, but was just the same fake shake McDonalds would hand out. This is why Im adding this place to the list of places I will never go again.

Nothing that special about the food, but it is a local business and I havent had anything bad from them. The burgers are a decent size, the fries are good (think Mighty Fine fries without the crinkle cut), and prices are a little high but average for this kind of restaurant I suppose. The staff seems busy and overall very young, but they are quick and did a good job during my visits. The outdoor patio can be nice if the traffic and weather are also nice.

For some reason, I thought this would be a nicer restaurant (we dressed up). Its like a P Terrys. In fact, the fries are very similar to P Terrys fries, and so are the burgers. Its a bit more expensive, though. Our two burgers, two fries, and two milkshakes cost about $25. They have dollar beers on Thursdays, which works well with its large amount of outdoor seating. The milkshakes are also great (on the level of P Terrys haha)

Neat place to visit, but not for the food... the best thing about this place is the playground for the kids, the outdoor patio and the large tables for groups. as for the food, it is not that great. Standard burgers, and the fried pickles or other fried items are just ok. the shakes are decent... we only go when there is a group of friends who are there... but not on our own.

Always incredibly slow with the ordering process and orders often wrong. The food and portions have gone downhill with the menu change that raised prices. Burgers are adequate, but the sweet potato fries are soggy. But they have dollar drafts of Strange Land and a playground for the kids, so it is tolerable. Also, the parking situation is terrible.

This place SUCKS . . The burgers are NASTY && have NO FLAVOR . The chicken nuggets are a RIP OFF . Your better off going to P.terrys or even five guys . . Only white people go there . The Coke taste different && the buns are always burnt . . 10$ for a meal that doesnt even fill you up . I WONT EVER COME BACK . Its NASTY && a RIP OFF . .

The patio is a cool place to enjoy the evening breeze.... and the Happy Sauce is something I would drink.. but im a civilized adult..

I just moved into the neighborhood and am so happy I found Hat Creek. Not only do they have a delicious turkey burger (I cant eat red meat), but the staff is always insanely friendly. Plus, the milkshakes are delicious. And we took Lucy on family night so the kids could play with her. Great times!

This place is just okay. It seems to serve a niche for families who want to feed their kids a better quality burger than McDonalds or Burger King but still want a drive-thru and reasonable prices. The burgers are okay. The fries are pretty good. But overall, not worth a return visit.

PLAYGROUND. Why oh why do more restaurants not have outdoor seating for kids and families? Not my first choice for food. Would love to see some better salads, ingredients, sourcing, etc. but theyre friendly and local and play ground - did I mention the playground?

Love Hat Creek! The food was fantastic. The parking was not so great nor was accessing it, but now I know how to get into the parking lot. Very great service, too! Hat Creek has the best turkey burger Ive had! Get it double with Swiss and avocado!

Awesome! Gluten free chicken nuggets, good burgers, awesome play ground. After reading other reviews. I would add a thought. This is not fast food. It is fast casual. Change your expectations for the amount of time it will take.

This place has a great atmosphere, great burgers and fries. Their profits also help support Mobile Loaves and Fishes which is a huge plus. It also has a playscape which is great if you are meeting with friends who have kids!

Was in Austin for a couple days. Saw Hat Creek Burger Co reviews and checked it out. Wow. Great burger, sauces and people. In addition reasonable prices. Great spot. Check them out and you want be sorry!

This place is nearly perfect. Good food, fast, and has a sweet outdoor patio. Id give 5 stars instead of 4, but the bathrooms here need some work. They are like a dark, stinky dungeon.

Hat Creek is a Great place to be. Dog friendly. many different places to sit. My kids love the playground as well as all the other kids that go there. AND THE FOOD IS SOOOO GOOD!

A playground with good (local) beer and descent food. The burgers are good and their salads and veggie burgers are well above typical for a burger joint.
