Worst Service! Very Mediocre food! DONT BOTHER! (Preface...I have been a bartender & server in high & low end places so i know things can go awry, but....) We had party of 8 all adults and one 4 year old.on a Monday night. server complained that while we waited for table some adults got drinks at bar, and we didnt wait for him. when we did order drinks at table they didnt show up until about 12 min later, more on the second round. no apologies. the dinner itself from dinner to eating took, over two hours because of such long waits for server to take orders and bring food, bring checks and even to bring back credit card! of the entire table they served sporadically, and all the adults were served first, our kids meal (chx fingers) server last with my steak salad after everyone else was either done or half way done, and no apologies or even letting us know that its taking longer, people has to sit there so long they got tired of waiting for all food on the table so they could eat warm food. i got hand whipped potato side, and it was like glue-paste and zero flavor. my salad i ordered medium, i got steak that definitely never saw any flames, i couldnt even eat it. the broccoli side dish was cold, the appetizer pizza tasted like it had been sitting on the counter for an hour, drinks were watered down, one guy has a steak served without a steak knife and he sat there waiting over 5 min for the server to return. If the server at least acknowledged the terrible service or notices I had the raw steak on the side plate or the kids plate last, i would have been accepting of the bad service ...and automatic gratuity was placed on check, so he obviously did not care one bit about service. just disgusting, i have been in that situation and have offered things like free meals, bringing out a bowl of soup or bread, free dessert, a manager table visit, and/or lots of apologies. this restaurant gave nothing! I will Never return and you shouldnt bother either.

One of the best restaurants to visit! First off, I rarely write reviews for anything but felt the urge to leave a great review for this awesome restaurant. So my gf and I decided to try this place on a whim after searching through restaurants on Google maps. We are originally from Michigan and have no clue what places are good in the Dallas area. Well, the reviews were good and we took a chance. Thankfully, we made a great choice. This place has amazing food, a great setting and decor and the waitstaff is excellent. I especially appreciate the excellent service from our waiter Michael. He was very friendly, welcoming, personable, knowledgeable about ever aspect of the restaurant, and did a fantastic job. Hes definitely one of the best waiters I have ever had. Just to put it in perspective, my gf is the cheapest tipper in the world and even she was like, "We have to to tip him good." Also, we recently made a visit after not eating there over a month and Michael still remembered our story and how we ended up moving to Texas. I was extremely impressed. (I did see other reviewers complain about service but I felt its one of their greatest strengths. However, I cannot comment on other waiters or waitresses there because we have not had them yet.) Besides the waitstaff, everything from the main dish to the sides have been very delicious and there are no complaints all around. We had amazing baby back ribs where the meat feel off of the bone, the mac n cheese is amazing, and I really enjoyed the chicken fried steak. The food is also brought promptly and we have not had to wait to be seated on both visits even though it looked very busy there. Now, the food is pretty pricey but you do receive a quality meal prepared by excellent chefs. Also the dessert is amazing and prepared by a special dessert chef as well. Honestly, if I had the money, I would visit The Ranch every week.

My cousin was in town on business, so my daughter and I met him and had dinner at The Ranch. It was a Tuesday night, which is one of their busiest nights, so the wait was about 30 min. I grabbed a couple of drinks at the bar and was impressed with their selection of spirits, and the friendly customer service from the bar tender. He even offered me a sample of a bourbon that I had never had before! After our wait, we were seated. We did have to wait a bit longer than usual to see our waiter, which I assume was due to them being so busy. We ordered the Lump Crab Dip as an app, and it did not disappoint! All three of us ordered steaks, and each of us were very please with the cut and cook! My cousin did attempt to order the Prime Rib, but was informed that they were out (bummer). The sides and the wedge salad were all amazing as well! My daughter decided to order the Red Velvet Bread Pudding for desert, and it was AMAZING! We all three shared it, and that was plenty for us. All in all, a very nice place to go if you want a delicious cut of beef, or anything else for that matter as I am sure it is all very tasty! For an app, three steaks, and desert our ticket was $150 (including a few drinks and a salad). Definitely worth it for a great dinner! We will be back for sure!

The ranch is a great way to get the taste and feel of Texas. Located in the back of the shopping center at Hwy 114 and McArthur Blvd, it is tucked away in a corner, but once you walk in the door you are taken out of the city and into a huge ranch house. I have had dinner here a number of times and have always been impressed. The menu always has some unique eats that include a full list of farm raised beef. I am not necessarily a huge steak guy, so I tend towards the other main dish items like the pork chops and catfish. My favorite is happy hour. They have a great happy hour with deals on beer, margarita and my favorite the frozen Texas tea. The frozen Texas tea is like a long island ice tea, but has a shot of sangria mix in. While it is on the sweet side, it is a great drink that will help you unwind after a long day at the office. For happy hour I really like ordering the Texas Lump Crab Dip. This dip has lots of crab in it. Mixed with spinach and wild mushrooms it is just delicious. Served with fresh flatbread, we end up ordering this one on almost every visit. If you are wanting to try a variety of appetizers, then order the Chefs Favorite.

I have visited this place 3 times now, and have never been disappointed! I was really apprehensive before visiting since I am a vegetarian and the place advertises a lot about their fresh meat! If you are vegan or vegetarian ask for their vegetarian menu..it is not present online, and I didnt even know about its existence till the last time! The cocktails are amazing..my favorite is Texas tea. If you are a whiskey fan, the whiskey flight is worth trying. The staff is very friendly and courteous. I ordered the grilled fajitas and it is absolutely one of the best food Ive had. It has a medley of grilled vegeables..and the spices used are amazing. They provide cheese on the side, so it doesnt come premixed with the vegetables. It comes with a small side of guac and corn salad. Do ask for their seasonal dessert. Ours was a yummy sponge cake with berries and it was absolutely worth it. The place is definitely not cheap, but do try it! I recommend making a reservation..the place is generally busy.
