The only bad part about this hotel is that there isnt much within walking distance except for perhaps a slick bar at 3/10 of a mile away (I will review this place as well). Aside from that, this hotel is very nice and exactly what youd expect from this hotel line and this location. The staff was very friendly, especially Areeba at the front desk. A very special shout out goes out to Jennifer, also at the front desk for her extraordinary friendliness and service. I appreciate anyone who goes out of their way to assist me and she definitely did. The location feels very safe and secure, valet parking is available and both cabs and Uber go to this hotel quite regularly. I do wish they placed more pillows on the bed (I am accustomed to 5 or 6 and this bed only had 3) but this is not a deal breaker. I also had an issue with the HVAC but I brought it up to the managers attention and he assured me he would have it looked at. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone in need of a room in this area of Dallas. Thank you!

I had an event at this Marriott hotel in June of 2016. The director of catering service Laura Black ignored my contract and charged me a 42% increase on my guest meals two days before the event. A 100% increase on the facility charges, although I had reached the amount needed to use the facility without being charge faculty fees which was also on many contract. She also charged many other things that I was told I will not be charge for. She double and tripled charge me anything she add to my bill. As long as she has your credit card number anything goes; your contract with the catering service is useless. Please dont plan an event there without having knowing your expected final amount, if it make any difference.

Its a toss up between this hotel and the local Aloft in the area. Both have their strengths and it can be based on your tastes. This Marriott has access to a nice little running trail around the lake. A decent gym with towel, headphones offerings. Options of 3 different newspaper options. The restaurant has a delicious Philly cheesesteak dish, the prices are similar to premium level hotel prices. The bar is comfortable with 3 different tvs with NFL Network access for Thursday Night Football. Lots of parking space. I also found the beds to be the best out of the three hotels in the area.

This stay was not up to Marriott standards I have experienced at other Marriott properties. We checked in at 5 PM and had to take an alternate room because the type I reserved was not ready. Since we were attending a concert within walking distance, we opted for the in house dining. Our server was very good but the kitchen was so slow. I was very disappointed with my meal, since it included instant mashed potatoes! For the menu prices, the food should be from scratch. The room was ok, but it was not the type I reserved. This was my first and probably last stay at this Marriott property.

Service was excellent. Every staff member Ive interacted with has been more than polite and helpful, including the engineer that came to fix my noisy AC fan. Of course it didnt make noise in his presence so I was promptly moved to another room. In both rooms, however, the wifi access and speed was a joke. The only food Ive had here was the breakfast buffet and it was mediocre. The bar is well stocked and filled with helpful staff. The large patio is a nice plus. Ive had overall better hotel experiences for less, but I would consider recommending this place to a friend anyway.

I am a gold member with Marriott. I travel often. Honestly this Marriott provided me with the best experience I have ever had at any hotel. I am absolutely fan of this hotel and must say this hotel made my trip. The front desk clerks went above and beyond for me. The restaurant staff was the best hotel restaurant staff I have ever been to, they actually exceeded expectations that I have for most fine dining experiences. Plain and simple it was everything I want in a hotel. Great room, great experience, great service. You are making a mistake if you chose any other hotel.

Unlike most hotels, this one charges for everything. $13/was for a Continental breakfast. lol My son and I made the mistake of eating here as well. Two Angus burgers & two Jack/Cokes for $58 + 20% gratuity so $68 for a burger and a drink each. @1@ Gym is a joke, pool is essentially a kiddy pool thats extremely cold. Whe n we checked in, our room was 75 A/C ran on 59 all night and temp went down 2 degrees. Had to get a box fan to stay cool. Mold or something in ventilation system because my son & I both had allergies the entire time in the room but would clear outside.

I have stayed here both on business and for pleasure. The rooms are great, the location is very good, as its central between Dallas, Grapevine, and Ft. Worth, and the service is amazing. As I was making reservations for dinner and needed to print out the details, the front desk staff offered help, and took it upon themselves to help me. They were fantastic. The staff at the restaurant was also very friendly and helpful. I no longer travel to Dallas as much as I used to, but this will be my default hotel for trips in the future.

The gym machines were mostly broken down; 3 of the 4 I tried had something wrong. The room was large and comfortable and very bright. The staff were friendly. The whole place felt a little dated. One of the elevators was out of service for the whole week, meaning getting up and down floors was especially slow. The concierge lounge was nice and had full size water bottles. The location was okay, there werent any great restaurants in walking distance. Parking was free.

The three stars is a rating based on being a full service hotel. Its heads above a Courtyard or a Hampton. It loses a star for being a little dated. It hasnt had the newest Marriott remodel yet. Its still all orange and yellow inside. Beautiful location on Lake Carolyn. Not much within walking distance lots of restaurants and shopping within a quick drive. Id probably bump it to a four of it wasnt for all the construction going on around it.

Very hospitable atmosphere. Friendly staff. Beautiful view of the Lake Carolyne from our window. Loved it. Concierge Access made it so comfortable to have a quick snack or a drink. Fitness center is OK for a workout any time. Overall a nice place. Currently construction work at the front side of the hotel makes commute a bit of challenge. Should be fantastic once the construction will be over.

My husband had a dental convention at the Gaylord Texan, but we met friends and spent the day at the Marriott Las Colinas and visited the nearby Mustangs of Las Colinas museum. I wanted to take a moment to compliment the friendly, kind, and efficient staff we encountered. Jose was our server at breakfast, Alberto was helpful in the lobby, and Camille and Gloria were wonderful as well.

This is the 1st Marriott where I had to pay for WiFi. Then it worked only about 50% of the time, with a weak signal. Not happy when I have use my cell phone to get better WiFi, than that I paid the hotel for. Then I wanted to relax, and went down to the hot tub, to find it full of plants. Overall, I was very displeased with THIS Marriott experience. =-(
