My buddy had a VIP reserved. He just said show up in jeans and sneakers. I went dress casual but far from sloppy. The muscle at the entrance didnt say anything but " I cant let you in your pants are too baggy. Seriously wtf its a bar not a club. I said fine and turned around to leave. My friend saw this and ran up to the guy and chincked him some money. Then called for me to come back as I was walking away. Iv never been so embarrassed. So after that we go the VIP and the rest of the night was fine. I asked other people (dress much more casual than myself)who came in after me if they had to pay or if the were told anything... Nothing. I will never go back and I will go out of my way to let people know how my experience went. Disappointed.

Move around - any bar in the area is better than this one. The staff is rude, particularly the "door man" who, as mentioned in other reviews, held the line on a Sunday afternoon with the bar not even full. Theres not much to speak of inside - a bar and handful of tables. The outside is okay minus the crowd... Not anything but a place to sit though. The hookah wasnt great. The hookah service was non-existent. Seriously, just find another bar. Theres nothing uniquely good about this place.

Imagine a smaller, crappier version of Cedar Creek plunked downtown. A decent sized bar area gives way to a gravel courtyard, which seems to mainly feature over-sized Jenga blocks, hookahs, and bad dancers. Seriously, theres literally nothing to recommend about this place unless youre in the area and have nowhere else to go -- or truly enjoy any of the three aforementioned entertainments. Take the extra ten minute drive down Washington or Elgin/Westheimer and theres much better.

My experience was horrible because of the bouncer at the gate. He told me my clothes were too baggy. I had on khakis and a black shirt with a collar. Then asked me to step to the side and told me to pay $40 then he would let me in. Obviously this guy has a problem. I was meeting friends there and the left out because of this kind of behavior. Then he lets the guy in shorts and a t-shirt in with no problem. Never coming or bringing people to this place again.

Maybe it was the day I went, but I probably will never go to this place again. They "hold the line" at 5pm on a Sunday when the place isnt even full, then have nerve to charge a cover as well. The lady upfront told my friend, if you dont have the money to pay a cover, then maybe you shouldnt be out. Maybe you shouldnt be greedy and attempt to milk as much $$$ as you can from people. Just a thought, because over half the line turned and left.

Bartender was rude and less than knowledgeable about simple drinks. Tried telling me that a pickle back shot was a shot of vodka chased by picklejuice. Fireball shots were overpriced and underpoured. Was charged a $10 cover on a Saturday night when the place was empty. Layout of the place is cool but the way they operated made me never want to return. My whole experience was whack from start to finish. Would not recommend.

I have visited Capitol Bar a few times during early evening. Great outside patio cabana area and main bar when weather permits is very open and nice. Service was standard but good. I dont like the tight parking or the tight pull up to valet services. Its about 10-12 minutes from my home so thats always a plus.

I really like the atmosphere at this bar. It is very casual and a great place to enjoy sitting in the comfort of a bar and outside at the same time. Not many people know of it right now so its not quite as busy which is nice for some people, but its definitely a gem that people have yet to discover.

Ive never been to this place and it was slow... Its always busy with a nice crowd and some pretty good DJs playing music outside and inside. The outdoor patio is very large with multiple bar access. Very good atmosphere with friends and public crowd.

Nice place to relax need america valets they are always losing cars giving cars to wrong customers over charging for valet 20 40 and 60. When its only 10. The owner is greedy and disrespects everybody.

Had to leave after 10 minutes. Sewage smell was too much. They advertised food for their networking event. What food? Small platter of vegetables and fruit for over 100 people. Really bad experience.
