The two things everyone knows Bar Munich is good for, 1. a great list of German beers on draft, and 2. Das Boot. Yes, the actual translation for das boot means the boat, but its a word play for Americans because boot means boot and its filled with whatever beer you wish to be drinking and passed around (due to legal reason) and shared with others. First of all, when we visit this establishment, the kitchen was already closed but I was hungry. The best thing the waitress did was give me a bag of chips to go with my Das Boot. Oh, when you order the Das Boot, you will have to fill out a waiver thats mainly about if you break the boot and no one person can drink the whole thing. But it was my birthday night and my friends made sure that I drank until the last drop, and that I did. Of course, the rest of the night was a blur but I do remember this place had alot of TVs showing different sports channel. I really had a good time getting drunk on my birthday just by finishing the boot itself but man, I dont think I can ever do that again!

Bar Munich is my favorite place to hang out. The atmosphere is sleek but comfortable, combining the best qualities of a midtown bar with a traditional German bar. The Hofbrau is always cold and delicious - love the variety of sizes and mugs to choose from. The brats and pretzels are awesome - my favorite kind of comfort bar food. The service is also great - Brook is a lot of fun and very attentive. The bar back also does a great job of keeping everything clean and running smoothly. Its just a great place to hang out, have a beer and a brat and watch a game. At night, its a also a great place to people watch and have a few laughs with friends. I already have lots of fun memories here. Highly recommended!

Visiting from out of town. Looked high and low to find THE soccer bar, this place looked promising. They put the game on and even had sound (real soccer bars Broadcast the game with sound!). Then some other patrons decide they want to hear some guns and roses and start feeding the jukebox. They staff just gives us a meek apology and we get to see the rest of the game minus sound. So much for being a soccer bar. Oh and of the 12 items on the menu they are out of the first two things we ask for. On a Friday night. Hate to be this guy, but it was a really disappointing evening all and all.

I was there today for the Italian soccer match of my favorite tea,Napoli. I was the only one watching the game, few people in the bar. They have plenty of screens, only the one I was looking at was showing the match I was interested in, anyway at 3 minutes from the end they changed all the screens to show an American football match. It was very rude, I spent 2 hours there and missed the goal of my team which happened at 92. The waitresses should pay attention to this. Very very disappointed! I will look for another place to see Italian soccer in Houston!

Its the meeting place of the FC Bayern Munich Fan Club of Texas-Houston Chapter on match days. A cold HB Original and the awesome Jumbo Munich Breakfast Taco are my ritual for the 8:30a matches. They have a very good sausage plate-- your choice of brats and kiełbasa, mustards or curry ketchup. The extensive offerings of German beers, bottles and drafts, is impressive. The staff is friendly and accommodating. All are welcome, even if youre a fan of another team. The more the merrier! Wilkommen und Mia san mia!

Ive started frequenting Bar Münich for their really yummy decent priced German beers, the nicer selection & reasonable price. The bratwurst & polish sausages are delish. The cheese & the spicy are my faves, & the dopplebock are yummy, it feels like a good local place to catch soccer & Game of thrones on sunday! I like when Kayla is bartending, great service from her everytime, she knows her beers & is extremely helpful.

As the name Bar Munich implies this a German bar with German beers. They do have some other European beers and some domestics to choose from but Germany is their focus. Great spot for watching soccer in the Midtown area. The servers are always friendly. On Sundays you can catch the Texans game without a crowd.

Nice bar with an upstairs area. I went there to watch final of football world cup. Plus Im half german. they had very nice and cheap bratwurst on the patio being grilled. I dont think they do this all the time. Well worth the visit. Limited parking but you can walk 100yds to next park area.

This place is awesome! Its so laid back and never really crowded. Or at least Ive never been at times when it has been crowded, and Ive been there at 11 on a Friday night. The bartenders are awesome, and if you love German beer or soccer, this is the place to go.

Best place to go for some draft German beer. Very friendly staff, was able to change the channel to hockey for me. Seems slow, both times I went hardly anyone was there. The menu needs an upgrade. Wasnt interested in anything on there. But the beer, Hmmmmm.

I love German beer, and this is the best place in Houston to get it. They serve Hoffbrau and a few others on draught by the liter (or small if you like!) The staff is always friendly. They have a nice patio, lots of TVs, and some bar games.

I like this place. Decent crowd. Beer selection (and sizes) is impressive. The food is very delicious!! as a sport bar it is on the pricey side. But it is worth it! They just need bigger TVs.

This is one of the few German beer places that allows you to get a German liter. They also have really good German beers and their bratwurst are pretty dang good! The vibe is very friendly.

This is a pretty nice space. Very modern and spacious. The floors are concrete and it can get loud. Bratwurst was tasty with curry ketchup. Good beer selection and quick, attentive staff.

Great place to watch early morning soccer with an incredible lineup of German beer. Highly recommend this place. Only downside for me is that its in midtown and parking can be a pain.

This bar is a Dead Zone. The cheese sticks were ice cold. The drinks were pretty overpriced. I regret coming here. Yikes.
