Decided to be spontaneous and eat a random Mexican restaurant for "Taco Tuesday"..came here, menu looked good (prices, options and pictures) & the waiter was sweet. They offered "free queso" for a month which consisted of one small queso. Im a queso lover so I ordered a large queso with ground beef. THE worst queso I have ever tasted. Concession stand cheese/nachos tastes better than this queso. It was that terrible! No taste to it, didnt taste like cheese and the meat looked worse than what they serve at McDonalds. We assumed the rest of the food had to be bad, especially if they used that queso over some of the food. We had also ordered shrimp tacos for an appetizer that hadnt came out yet so we immediately got up to tell them not to make the tacos because we were leaving. Some guy, not sure if he was manager or cook but he came out and was telling us to eat the cheese and were like no we barely touched it, we dont want it. He shooed us out and told us to leave lol. Him was upset. We were nice about it all but he was not happy! The only reason it got one star was because of the nice waiter.

Yes prices are great. It is a small authentic mexican food restaurant. Service is friendly, fast and very inexpensive. You can ask for things your way, sometimes at a small price. Week days, during lunch they have courtesy cheese or queso sauce/dip to go along with the Salsa and chips at NO additional cost. Yes all beverages are very good. Free refills including the sodas not just the tea. They lean heavier on the spanish language but do speak english as a second language. But definitely cooking Mexican comes in at a first language!

Salsa good served scalding, enjoyed lunch although Enchiladas like freshly made ,not with sauce baked into them the way i like it. In reviewing dinner menu looked really pricey for smaller texmex establishment , their prices are up there with Pappasitos Cantina $$$ Probably wont try for dinner , may return for a lunch. But recommend Los Ramadas on Cypresswood.

Been coming here for 20 years! My daughter has nightmares of Mexican food to this day because wed eat here at least once a week for the better part of 8 years. Sadly I moved and dont get down to this neck of the woods very often, but Arcos is the reward for the errands Ive had to run in their area. Food is wonderful and very consistent.

I just saw someone post about the free Queso.Really ! You have to be a real idiot to think you can just go sit there and eat free unlimited queso all day long..SMH.. Anyway.I have eaten there plenty of times.The food and Service is good.Their prices are reasonable compared to other places.I will keep on going to eat there.

Guacamole and queso and charro beans were really good. The beef steak was tough though, but the enchilda was okay. The dinner prices are definitely overpriced for what you get. You might want to stick with their lunch specials and drinks (which looked more reasonably priced), with some chips with queso and guacamole.

Good traditional Mexican restaurant. Good food for a reasonable price. We like the fact that the refried beans do not have pork or lard. Friendly and accommodating staff. A good place for a comfortable family meal!

The sign says "free queso month".. Dont be fooled. Only the 1st tiny bowl is free. Quite deceptive!! Food is okay but over priced for the quality.
