Atmosphere: Looks like an expensive restaurant from the 1800s, almost going into froufrou. Very classy, yet has a relaxed feel to it. Service: The servers are welcoming and polite and are very regular with their rounds. Food: Some of the best in the area. From the appetizers, to the deserts, whether their Salmon or their version of a Philly Cheese steak, its guaranteed to be delicious. Price: With such high quality food youd expect to pay a reasonably higher price, and youd be right in this case. But most of their food is either the same price as various other restaurants, or even less and still tastes better. Overall: The food, service, and price makes this place a very good choice to dine in once in a while, but the almost froufrou like atmosphere might be a deal breaker. If you prefer food, service, and price over atmosphere, then I highly recommend this place. Other Thoughts: Although the atmosphere is very niche, its a great place to bring your date to show off your table etiquette or bring your daughter to make her feel like a princess.

A coworker and I ordered lunch to go today. We had a very short time for lunch so called our order in ahead of time. We were told 20 minutes, but 30 minutes later we were still waiting. The owner/manager then proceeded to chastise the server in front of us saying that he should have known better than to tell us 20 minutes when pasta takes longer. Our food finally arrived, but was packaged awkwardly. If you are going to offer a to go service then you should have the right supplies. Our soups were put in to go cups and the spinach artichoke dip described on the menu as a "flavorful cream dip served bubbling hot" was dumped in the small compartments of a large to go container. The broccoli cheese and loaded potato soups were okay. My chicken salad sandwich was very good with fresh apples and grapes, but my friends house salad looked thrown together. We also received a container of Parmesan bread crisps which were anything, but crisp. The restaurant itself is dark and had kind of a musty smell when you walked in. It could really use a make over.

We had a horrible time here. There was only 3 couples in the restaurant and that included us. It was last Friday night. I ordered the Filet and when it was brought out it was over cooked. So I sent it back. It took them 25 minutes before my food was remade, even though there was no one else to cook for in the place. By now, my husband was done eating. I tasted it and it was awful. It was more like tri tip roast beef. I sent it back and asked for the manager. She never came. Instead they said they would remove it from the bill... As if that was a favor? I will never go back. It was a very bad night. I am leaving out many small details, but over all the food was awful, the management was awful for not coming over and with such a lite crowd there is no excuse for this.

A waste of time and money. The servers were young and looked embarrassed of the kitchen. The kitchen is untrained and took one hour and forty five minutes to serve us. We did have a big party of twenty to twenty five from a wedding ceremony, but thats still no excuse. The first actual entree came out at that noted time. The owner, a blond lady, served some appetizers and bread. She had her cell phone poking out of her bra from under her shirt, just an unprofessional person and was no where to be found after food was served. The food itself was okay. Nothing special about this place. I will never go back here again and I suggest they call Gordon Ramsey to save their Resturaunt.

I read all the reviews and then my wife and I went to the White Flamingo on a Date. The service was superb, the meal was a dream and the live piano music added a great background to the evening. The crab cake appetizers were delicious. I had the pecan crusted red snapper and my wife had the mahi mahi with hollandaise. Green beans cooked to perfection and a wonderful rice pilaf. They forgot to deliver our salads but comped us a key lime pie at the end of the meal which sent us into nirvana. Update 2012. Weve been back several times and the experience is still awesome. My Wifes Birthday is going to be our next visit. I cant wait.

Ive been to The White Flamingo a bout 3 times in the last 9 months. It happens to be close to where I work. I can not comment on the wait staff or a dine in experience because I always get my food to-go. With that being said, what I have eaten has been good. My only issue I have is the price. I fine that its a bit overpriced for what Im getting. A french dip sandwich and a BLT should be charged a "fine dining" price. Thats really my only issue I have with The White Flamingo. Due to convenience, I will return.

On Saturday 10/22/11 we had a small wedding reception at the White Flamingo Restaurant. The food was wonderful, wine flowing, the staff was incredible. Our Waiter "Jeremy" sang to us, and sang very well! I could not have ask for more. Even the flowers were from the White Flamingo Florist. The price was very much within my budget. To the owner, Evelyn, you are the best. You and your staff have made my new beginning a beautiful memory that we will share for the rest of our life.

We had reservations on Mothers Day for 12:30. We got there on time. We waited about 2 hours before our entrees finally came out. Half of our table ended up leaving without eating because they had places to be. It was a ridiculously long wait for our food, and the manager never even came to our table to talk to us and tell us what was going on or anything. We had to ask for the manager on our way out. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

My husband stumbled across the White Flamingo while looking for a new place to try out for Saturday "Date Night". Pleasant atmosphere (Live piano), delicious food and an attentive staff will make this little gem a regular on our list! The crab cakes were delicate and the Mahi Mahi was PARADISE on a plate! We even had dessert (we hardly ever do....) key lime pie................just to DIE FOR!

Ordered online for delivery. Ordered a porterhouse, medium rare, mushrooms and onions on the steak. Got email that they chose to sub porterhouse for a ribeye, it was well done to the point that i cannot eat it, and no mushrooms or onions. Got a house salad, not the caesar i ordered. Needless to say, i will not go back. Oh yeah, also did not get my asparagus that i ordered either.

Stopped by 5 Ate Cafe today for lunch. Was sad to learn that Chef Charlie no longer owned and ran the cafe, but apparently still offers his assistance from time-to-time. Both my wife and I had the Special of the day which was the Avocado Butter Bacon Burger, and it was delicious (which, I do not ever recall having anything...

My wife and I used to love this place; with their ambiance, and great food. I dont know what happened, but this is not the same establishment. I wont regale you with the story of our last visit. I believe it is simply bad policy to ever criticize, condemn, or complain. We simply wont return and that saddens me.
