Saturday around 2pm ordered a brisket sandwich, chopped beef sandwich and 2 orders of onion rings + 2 peach cobblers. While I was waiting somebody came back with their takeout order to complain which really made me nervous. I had heard good things so I figured with people complaining mine would be good. When I got home i found my brisket sandwich contained meat that was at least 2 days off the pit, dry and crispy on the corners. The chopped beef did not contain anything that looked like brisket, just a brown mush saturated with sauce,. The much touted cobblers were lacking peach and were disappointing to say the least. The onion rings were the worst, just an assortment of burnt onion and batter, nothing resembling a ring. I will say the staff are friendly and the sauce was decent. With all the good BBQ resources in the area I wont be back any time soon.

Originally opened by our local volunteer fire chief, the place has a firehouse motif. Its been sold several times since. This place is not decorated, it is cluttered. The barbecue is usually undercooked and tough. The only smoke you can see or smell is tobacco. The wait-staff and managers always have several cigarettes smouldering in ashtrays. Food is poor, Service is apathetic at best, and you need to shower and put on fresh clothes after you leave. Their attitude is: "If you dont like our cigarette smoke, order from the drive-up window". The place is right here in town, but I dont eat there any more. Nuf said.

I seriously dont understand how hard it is to write down a to-go order when they are never even busy. They dont understand a "cheeseburger basket" means FRIES ARE INCLUDED. Not to mention they never get what I want on the burger correctly. Great food, but where to they find these order takers? A cheeseburger basket means CHEESE on a burger and FRIES. Not a burger with no cheese and no fries. So annoyed.. This place went downhill when they sold it.

This place is nothing it was years ago. It is now owned by a man that cares only about his customers and works 7 days a week to make that happen. It used to be run down and poorly managed, but that has since changed. The BBQ cooked here is superb and the wait-staff is very customer friendly. I would definitely suggest Backdraft as a go-to BBQ joint. Definitely cream of the crop.

BBQ was decent. Sauce was a good if you like some spice. Biggest drawback was that they allow smoking in the restaurant. Its not immediately noticeable as there is a strong bbq pit smell as well, but we left smelling of cigarette smoke. If you dont mind smoke, enjoy it. If youre asthmatic, stay away.

Food was terrible..fries were frozen shoestring fries that were cold..chicken fried steaks with no gravy. Who eats chicken fried steak with no gravy...The fried okra was barely cooked..This place will not get mybusiness again...

Walked in waited ten mins and never got a menu or a drink. Servers know we were there. One waitress was to busy counting her tips to help us. Im sure the food is good smelt great! But the service wasnt worth it.
