Today was my first time going to The Crawfish Shack, and after an encounter I had with a woman who said she was the owner, I can say that I will never go back. My party waited for an hour and a half to be seated, of no fault of the Crawfish Shack, because we had to wait on everyone to be there before we could be seated (a Crawfish Shack Policy). When our name was finally called and we were about to enter, they asked if everyone was there and I replied that the last three people were parking. They told us we had to wait until everyone was physically present, but that the tables were being held for us. When the hostess made that comment, I asked if the table was being held, why couldn’t we go ahead and be seated? It was at that moment that the woman claiming to be the owner stepped in and said that what the hostess told me is their policy. I then also pointed to another posted policy that states that there is a maximum of 18 people per party on Friday-Sunday due to long wait times, and reminded her that they just allowed a party of 22 to enter, on a Saturday. I guess she didn’t like that I was questioning how she was picking and choosing which policies to enforce, because then she said that allowing the party of 22 was done at her discretion. I asked why she couldn’t use the same discretion in our case, and she went back and forth with me, finally admitting that allowing the party of 22 to enter was a choice she made. At that point I thanked her for admitting that she made a choice for another group that she was unwilling to make for mine, and stopped talking with her (by this point she had accused me of having an attitude and being argumentative, yet, I never raised my voice with her, and was simply pointing her to her OWN policies). I continued talking with someone in my party and the lady came back and inserted herself in my conversation after my back was turned to her and I was no longer talking to her. I drove an hour to get to this place (which I told the owner) and had it not been that I was there to celebrate a birthday, I would have left and taken my business elsewhere. I have heard a lot about the Crawfish Shack and was very excited to be going today, but after what I experienced with the owner, needless to say I will not be going back. I will not spend my money with establishments where my demographic is blatantly treated differently than others.

I live in Spring now but Ill still drive all the way out to your establishment before Ill ever settle for crawfish on the northside. Ive tried 3 places in Spring/The Woodlands and none of them come close to your product. I asked for extra spicy they said we only make one flavor, which was blah. I said ok, "I would like sausage, corn and potatoes." Waitress says,"We dont put sausage in our crawfish, Ive never heard of that before." I shouldve walked out of Tailgators right then! Who doesnt put sausage in the crawfish??? Ill never waste my time here again. Ill take the 40 minute drive it takes to get there and wait the hour outside before I subject myself to this nonsense. Please open another establishment closer to the city. You guys would blow away any so called competition up here!!! Oh I forgot to mention, its BYOB too!!! Trust me when I say, its worth the wait.

1st time visiting this Saturday, heard soo much of this place and I just had to try it before the season was over. We werent sure about BYOB, if it was for all drinks. We bought us and kiddos drinks and noticed it was just alcoholic drinks we respected that and just stored our drinks under our seat. We ended up ordering 3 of the 2lbs crawfish/1lb shrimp combos with corn and potatoes and a bowl of red beans and rice. The only thing I could say is that the heads of the crawfish were not full juice, I was looking forward to that part. Also love the kids play ground I was sat close the area would I could keep a constant eye on my daughter. They did have a young lady there keeping an eye on the kids, she was very nice! Well try to make it make it back before the season is over. (3 weeks left)

Omg...just horrible!! Seasoning do not go on top of the crawfish!! Crawfish was so hard!! Im from New Orleans.. I know good seafood!! Ive been trying to get to this place for a very long time after hearing so much about it... It was the worse experience ever!! If u love this place, that says you dont know what good seafood taste like.. Crawfish should be boiled in the seasoning!! Gumbo was so nasty!! Lord Jesus!! The pink lemonade was watery!! The sausage link was so nasty n cheap tasting.. I hate giving bad reviews but I wasted $38 on BS... ILL NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO EAT FROM THIS PLACE...yes it was packed with ppl..ppl who dont know any better... The customer service was great.. Although, they were very busy on a sat night... Drive thru wait was 10-15mins... Not so bad

Happy Wife... Happy Life !!! Pros: My wife loved this spot. For her, the seasoning was just right plus she enjoyed the fact that its b.y.o.b. The price didnt break the bank like some other crawfish joints.(thats a plus) The staff knew the menu well enough to help us first timers decide the best bang for our buck.(our waitress nailed it) Cons: Gotta get here early to claim a spot, which basically is anywhere on any of the long metal benches. Coming from downtown Houston, its a drive to get here. And, I was expecting Zydeco music, which for me wouldve added to the ambience. If they did play it, I didnt hear it.(but thats just me) Note: I dont eat the stuff so I did sneak in my own boudan and crackers.(that was a bonus)

Went through their drive-thru for acrawfish for the first time and I was blown away I am a crawfish snob/addict and they have by far the best! I ate 4 pounds of crawfish every other day trying to look for the best one .now I am sad that I cant just go whenever I want because of the location I will certainly be back soon.every crawfish was big and the flavor was so good no burning in my hands because the seasoning was done Louisiana style. the gumbo is also very yummy. Oh and a drive-through service was really fast I was impressed.

We have been going to this place since it was at the old location. This week was our first time back for this season. WOW, this place has changed! We were very dissapointed, The music was horrible, I never heard mexican music at a cajun eatery before. We had to sit right next to an open trash can full of crawfish shells and the smell was terrible. We left after 25 minutes and went down the street to the Crawfish Hut, gotta say,the Hut was much better. We will not be going back to the shack!

I having been coming here from Northwest Houston since the Shack opened. The crawfish were delicious and it compensated for the long drive. This past Saturday I ordered 15 lbs of crawfish. I was so disappointed with how filthy the crawfish were. I honestly believe the crawfish were not cleaned. I felt like I was eating seasoned mud. How disappointing, I will not be coming back again. Ive heard from family members that they too have experience the same poor quality. What a shame.
