Heard so many good things about this place that I decided to finally try it. Ordered the 2 meat dinner (ribs, sliced brisket and two sides). Ribs were sub par, one rib was overcooked and the other was like jerky. The brisket was dry and cold. To be honest I found the precooked/pre-sliced HEB brisket to be better then what I was served last night. The sides were good. I wish I could post the pics I took of my jerky dinner. Also, be ready to be uncharged: You want it to go? You will page extra. You want to sub potato salad for french fries? You will pay extra! You want a side of ranch? You will PAY! It may have been just a bad night, although it was slow, but I dont ever see myself eating there again. I guess Tin Roof set a standard when it comes to being treated to a good dinner without all the upcharges! Oh: I can also confirm the other posters comment about the grouchy older blond lady behind the counter... ~Disappointed!

This is not a good choice for anything gluten free. The owner, Cheryl was helpful in pointing out a box of BBQ rub that I could read the ingredients, all the brisket, chopped beef, and ribs contain barley, the chicken and turkey were possibly safe. But she could not check ingredients on the sausage. She only reported it to be homemade. Also, when asked about the barbeque sauce, she would not let me know if the ingredients contained gluten and would not let me speak to one of the cooks. They were busy, but answering questions about the ingredients seemed simple enough. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone on a gluten free diet. I would love to help restaurants interested in learning how to help patrons who must avoid gluten. I never wish to be a bother by asking questions about ingredients, but I was also shocked this restaurant owner did not know the ingredients in the food she served.

Food is not really good and in addition the service is really bad. If your planning to take some food home they will give you an attitude. I asked for a to go container to take some pickle and jalapenos home since I didnt eat all my food and they gave me an attitude and they wanted to charge me again. After telling her that I just spent a good amount of money but I would pay for the to go container if needed she asked the cook for what I requested and they gave me some pre-made bags of pickles and jalapenos. After all the money I spent there and not really enjoys boiled sausage and dry chicken I have to beg for to go containers, I will never go there again.

One of the worst BBQ experiences Ive had. Dry, flavorless brisket, boiled sausage, and old, musty-tasting ribs. The meats were swimming in a liquid on the platter that we assume came from the boiled sausage, which tasted like crawfish boil. Potato salad was bland, other veggie sides tasted like they came straight from the can. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for even average Texas BBQ. So many more good BBQ options in the Houston area.

Brisket was dry and flavorless. Really disappointing. Looked like it was smoked a few days prior and then sliced as needed by what looked like a circular saw blade. This should tell you how bad the brisket was, when you can see tooling marks in meat, stay away. Cannot say that I would recommend it, since there are so many way better choices that are closer to me.

Quality meat served to your cooking preference. Okra and pinto beans are good. Sauce is good as well. Serving size on the brisket is larger than Dickeys Bbq. Ribs are done right too. Id recommend it.Brewed sweat tea would be nice, maybe they will that as a drink option next time I go. place is much larger on the inside than it looks.

Amazing secret! This place is a must see. Yes, its kind of in the middle of nowhere but I drove 30min each way while visiting North of Houston, and WELL WORTH IT! Delicious pulled pork, tender ribs and amzing brisket...even better than Rudys as far as I am concerned!

I love BBQ. However l was in the mood for a burger. Oh my goodness the burger was thick, fresh (the meat was smoking), and thank the Lord their demeanor is striking. Sheryl is absolutely amazing and honest.

We used to eat at the food trailer the owners had down the street by the hardware store. The only thing I have had was the Pulled Pork and it was great and a lot of it. Very clean and great service.

Only had the brisket, very good fresh and tender, good smoke. Quality beef. Sauce ok, only complaint. You have to BUY the bread, plain white bread. .25 cents a slice! Home town atmosphere.

Nice place for BBQ but the brisket was a bit dry and bland, the chicken was over cooked! I will give it another chance due to the nice atmosphere and the staff was very hospitable!

I had to try this place just based on the name. The meats were great. The sides were great. The servings are generous. The price are pretty reasonable.
