I read some good reviews - so we finally tried it. We ordered 3 different Mexican Dinners, everything tasted like a "TV Dinner" from the 1970s. No seasoning, Not even on the tortilla chips. The Portions were small - And half of it was not as good as Taco Bell. The enchiladas were the size of my finger, the cheese was that canned kind of Cheese. Now the worst part - The Taco Meat was Rancid- and even smelled Rancid. As I write this my stomach hurts and is gurgling like a volcano! At $10 and up, I expected better everything- esp the staff- they gathered in a corner talking and chirping like a bunch of chickens, you had to interrupt them to get service. $30 down the drain - I wouldnt go back - even if the food was free! And if you read a "Great" review on this place- its fake!

Ive lived in GT for 13 years and Mariachi de Jalisco is almost an institution with the people that know real Mexican food in this town. Guess Kurt hasnt been to Mexico because this is as authentic as youll find within a 200 mile radius. The menudo is excellent and the barcacoa is equally great (so Im guessing you didnt eat either of these, right?). A good Mex restaurant is always known for their salsa and chips and they have some of the best here. Its a little dirty but Ill trade that for really good Mex (not tex-mex) any day. Hey Kurt, sounds like Taco Bell is where you need to be?

UNPROFESSIONAL. I called and asked a few questions for my co workers and I told her to hold for one second and I heard the woman on the phone say, "omg they are taking forever!" I then told her nevermind. Their food is okay and the service there is always slow inside. So I called the manager and she stated she was 16 and didnt know that was wrong to say. WOW!!! They are all unprofessional. What is sad is that I have spoke with the owners and they are nice men. Just have to try to do better with their employees I guess.

Mariachis is all about the atmosphere! The food is above average but it wont blow your mind. The salsa tastes great but is a bit too runny for my taste--keeps falling off the chip. The staff are friendly, fun and really keep the place bright and welcoming. You may never hear this from a review, but the dessert ice cream bars are incredible! I know that isnt want Mexican restaurants want to be known for, but I highly recommend grabbing a couple as you head out the door--we are talking REAL coconut pieces!

Food is good. Service was horrible. My family went on Thursday, 7/21/2016, and we were able to get one refill of drinks and chips for the entire time there. There were six girls behind the main counter at any given time, but no one could take time to refill a glass of tea or water. We ended up asking the bartender and he got us refill of chips. Customer service has steadily declined in the last year. Tonight was the final straw. We will not return to this cesspool of a restaurant again.

One bowl of chips and no refill on both salsas. Tea only refilled once. Wife and daughter werent bad.... my plate. Yikes. Burnt sausage, still cooking chicken. Asked for 3 and 3 tortillas. Got one flour that was hard. Ate corn and asked for flour. Got 1 again but it was fresher. Next thing I know there is a sweaty child in the kitchen giving high fives. Sorry. Need to check food handlers.

This is my current favorite Mexican restaurant in Georgetown. No fancy or garish decor, rather a humble diner style with relaxed atmosphere. Very good authentic/homestyle food at reasonable prices, and generous portions. They serve two salsas with their chips, including a great and unique warm/cooked version. Full bar with beer, wine, and decent margaritas, and happy hour during the week.

I love Mariachi De Jalisco. My family has had the treat of eating here for years. No, it is not in a new well decorated space, but their food is delicious and consistent. The staff is always pleasant and quick. (Something missing in most Georgetown restaurants.) They have several off-menu items that regulars are fortunate to get. The jalapeno salsa verde is awesome. Try it!

The food was ok at best - looked like it was slopped on the plate like something Id see in a prison cafeteria. The service was awful, and I saw several large bugs running around our booth and in the bathroom. To be fair, the taste of the food wasnt the worst Ive had, but Ive found MUCH better places in town that didnt scare me as much.

I have dined here 3 times, once for breakfast, once for lunch, and once for dinner. The food is so authentic it reminds me of growing up in San Diego and going across the border into Mexico for breakfast, lunch, or dinner and having REAL Mexican food. This is it. Look no further. And the staff are friendly and always accommodating.

This place was horrible. I cant imagine what someone had to do wrong to be brought to this place. The worst tamales known to man: Id almost swear they were canned. They used canned mole sauce and cut literally every corner possible. I wouldnt eat here again if it was free and brought in food from another restaurant for the occasion.

Worst dining experience I have ever had. None of the waitresses spoke english. Waited 30 minutes for our food, came out completely wrong because our waitress apparently couldnt understand beef and cheese only on our nachos. Sent it back, waited another 30 minutes, came out wrong again. Will NEVER GO BACK or recommend to anyone!

Not the best Mexican food Ive ever had, but one of the best bargains in town. We always ask for our favorite table and waitress and make ourselves at home. Sundays after church the place is crowded and the wait can be long, but most any other time the food is fast, hot and tasty. One of our regular hangouts!

Went here for take-out tacos and they were very poor quality. The pork al pastor and BBQ meat were terrible, the chicken barely average. It was packed for lunch though so maybe other dishes are better. Theres a big open dining room and a cozy looking smaller room with a bar and tables.

Pretty darn good Tex-Mex! Queso is just that, cheese, if you like, add one of two (or both) salsas that accompany it, yourself. Theres no bells or whistles with the dishes served here but, there is plenty of flavor! Service is friendly and polite, and the prices are reasonable.

They have my favorite crunchy tacos. I have been here many times. They have great customer service including that they will make me a spicier salsa when I ask for. To go food is great because it does not sit around and the tacos are very crunchy when I get home.
