To be obsessively fair, my wife and i have been eating here for years, and are always recognized and treated very well. The staff turnover is very low, and there is definitely a family vibe to the place. They have their weaknesses -the free queso isnt much to shout about- and their strengths -get the special salsa. Theyve updated their menu, and ive enjoyed the new items. Get a Tecate and lime, some special salsa, one of the big special platters -i like the Compadre, though i had the Camarones la Diabla last time, lit my mouth up good and proper- finish with a sopapilla or maybe some flan. Good eatin.

My wife and I recently moved here from Texas and love Mexican food. We read the great reviews of the restaurant and thought we would give it a try. Did not impress me at all. Prices are on the high side. Do have free chips and queso but didnt make a hole lot of difference as they were both some of the worst I have had in a while. Food tasted alright but was very bland, especially for Mexican food. Add some jalapeños and it might have been ok. On a positive note, the tortillas they brought to our table were quite good, as was the service. Dont plan on returning though.

We eat here often. Armando is always so nice to greet us and makes us feel at home. A different guy gets your drinks than the waiter. That guy doesnt speak very good English but still very helpful. All the waiters are super nice and fast. Sometimes they have a guy playing Spanish music and its very sweet. I wouldnt say its the nicest Mexican place in Norman or even the best tasting but for a chelinos we are hooked and will keep going. Free chips and salsa and tortillas very tasty.

So today me and my two roommates went to this place to get their 5.99 enchilada dinners. We get there at 4:55. We get our dinners eat and wait for the bill. After taking forever to just get the check, we see that our meals are marked at 7.99. When we asked about the price, the cashier said we arrived before 5 so we didnt get the deal. They do not know how to treat costumers.

This is my first time at the Norman location, and it will for sure be my last. Within hours, me and my husband were both sick. I threw up a total of 6 times last night. The queso is not queso. There is no way real queso has the neon yellow look. Not only was the food horrible and made us sick, they also tried to charge us for water. Never ever again.

Took the family out to dinner here today and was sat with Ruben as our waiter. He was the most professional and personable waiter we have had in years. He was very friendly and not once told us no, even to my ridiculous request of having a huge cup of queso to take home. Food was amazing and we all four ate for around 40 dollars.

Me and my family typically love this place we come here often but on our most recent visit we were seated for 10 minutes before we were givin chips salsa and tortillas other than that friendly staff great food. I personally recommend the chicken and rice dinner.

Chicken fajitas were good. I would have liked the onions and peppers grilled more. Queso was a little bland. Rice and refried beans were good. Service was great! Only negative was that the menu was a little dirty from a food smear (I hope it was food!) Lol ..

5 stars this is a great mexican restaurant the staff r hard working nice. the food has lots of selection at a reasonable price the decor in the restraunt is spot on. And I can tell the owners care about the business I highly recommend.

Ive been coming here for ten plus years. The owner is very friendly and remembers everyone. The food is great. I always get the shrimp cocktail and its better than any other restaurant.
