Ive told them directly when Ive been there but Ill say it here...thank you, thank you, thank you for not only bringing amazing BBQ to the city of Harlingen but thank you for bringing quality craft beer choices as well. Last week, I had several choices of Avery cans (Perzik Saison, Real Peel, and LilikoI Keplo) to choose from as well as the Dogfish Head Festina Peche just to name a few! The food always reaches beyond your expectations and the people that run it from the owners, to the managers, to the servers have always provided a fun and inviting atmosphere for all. I couldnt ask for a better place to spend my time and money at.

Easily one of my favorite restaurants in the RGV! Excellent food with a fully featured BBQ & Tex-Mex menu. You wont find a better selection of craft beers in Harlingen, and if youre lucky enough to make it out on a Thursday or Friday night, you can enjoy live music (Happy Hour 3pm-6pm, Live Music 6pm-9pm). This is also the perfect place for private events, with an excellent atmosphere, and very friendly staff (they also cater). Cant recommend Rio Grande Grill enough, 10/10; do yourself a favor & check em out!

Quality food and outstanding customer service. I cannot say enough nice things about this establishment. Cheap prices and quality gourmet food do not belong in the same sentence. Unfortunately, no matter how hard they try they cannot make everyone happy. People that like to frequent dollar menus and .99 cent tacos should stay away. Then again, if you enjoy the aforementioned items you have bigger problems in life than a decent palate.

Pork was cold and dry, same goes for the chicken. Brisket was 70% fat. A/C was not working, not a good thing in the Valley where its feels like 110°. Pico de gallo was left out and tomatoes were soggy. Sausage was ok, but i guess overall the bread was the best item. Very Disapointed, especially after seeing articles on the wall from Texas Monthly magazine, maybe I should have ordered a taco!

Brisket was was as good as I have ever had ! And both 1/2 most beautiful hunks of sliced brisket I have ever seen.but I must say the sour pickles served with it with it the only downside to the meal a precious small amount of the delish brisket was tainted with the sour taste Of the pickles (not a pickle fan)still deserves ***** 5 stars for maybe the best I ever had.

Edit: BRISKET ENCHILADAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This restaurant probably has the best BBQ per price in all of the RGV. The art decor, live music, and customer service give this place an "Austin" feel. I would go here alot if only they were open at more convenient hours. They close pretty early. Ive had pretty much all the meats on the menu. Everything is juicy and tasty.

Amazing food and great customer service. The taste is rich and at first I was disappointed because they did not have chicken since they ran out but at the end of my visit, I was highly satisfied. I am so glad that my friend invited me out to eat with her. I wouldnt have experienced this place if it was not for her. Highly recommend this place.

Brisket, sausage, potato salad, pickles & onions is awesome. Chicken tortilla soup was excellent. I would suggest to mix half & half of the hibiscus tea with limeade. Also try the homemade vanilla ice cream & bourbon peach cobbler. Enjoyed the company and warm welcome of the establishment. I would gladly come back and try the catfish tacos.

Rio Grande Grill is the best local restaurant Ive ever been to. The portions are generous and all the meats are lean. The specialty sauces are what give this little country decorated BBQ place an upscale taste. My friends and I look forward to their daily lunch specials and weve never been disappointed with any meal.

I usually get great service at this place but earlier I went with parents and the service was just bad. Our waitress was just bad and did not seem like she wanted to help. The food wasnt really that great like how it used to be. Just disappointed overall. So, if you want great service, dont go during the evening.

Fantastic cozy environment, helpful workers, and even more fantastic food. The brisket is tantalizing, the fish is seasoned to perfection, and all of the side dishes compliment the meals so well. Would recommend to anyone visiting the RGV as the go-to restaurant for the Valley!

LOVE this place! We used to frequently come when Mr. Ben owned it but this new guy is just as great. Love the atmosphere. Food is just as delicious as always! They were even mentioned in this months (or last) edition of Texas Monthly! Come! You will NOT be disappointed!

the smoked brisket tacos are a thing of legend. the salsas are extraordinary. the homemade ice cream is divine. and the owners are friendly, the service great, the ambiance low key and inviting. we eat lunch there every day we are in Harlingen, and that is quite often!

Friendly helpful staff and excellent BBQ. The brisket was awesome. The Chicken Tortilla soup is best I have ever eaten. I cant say enough about the house made pickles. They were best I have ever gotten a a BBQ joint. I wish it was not so far from home.

First a critique, Brisket was a little dry, but I understand thats probably because I went a couple hours after opening. Everything else was sublime. I ordered pulled pork, a sausage link, and potato salad. The barbeque sauce was really good as well.

First time eating here and it was nice. Good food, though my chicken was tough and undercooked. The rice was awesome and so were the beans. My wife had the brisket and absolutely loved it. Definitely coming before we head back to San Antonio.

Los Surfvivers love playing this Grill Venue. They have extended the the Beer Garden out back and makes for an awesome Rio Grande Night. Check this place out. Live music on Thursday and Friday. Thanks Dan, Stefania and Crew!

Good food, over priced. I can get the same amount of flavor from other local restaurants with lower prices. Nice interior set-up/design. Associates of mine talked this place up but in my.opinion its overrated.

Had a great dinner with Arnie and Terry, we ordered the platter that includes brisket, chicken, sausage, sides of potato salad, Cole slaw and macaroni plus some home made ice cream and peach cobbler

This place is top notch BBQ. Id put it up there with central texas legends Smittys and Lulling City Market. Has a distinct Mexican food flair and does well for it. Try the ribs and youll be back.

Service was great. Food not so much is it Mexican is it barbque? But corn tortillas should never be served with barbeque. Also no sodas are sold here. Sorry but the hipster thing needs to end.

First time here, loved the atmosphere felt a lil like Austin. The food was delish and just melted in your mouth. The only thing is that it was too crowded, but I will visit again.
