We went here for lunch. The service was adequate. My girlfriend and I ordered lunch plates. After being served the delicious Salsa (and typical chips), we notice that there were no napkins on any of the tables. Hmmm, cheap on the napkins, I thought. We asked for napkins, along with "extras," but we only received three. When the food arrived, the "Street Tacos" looked like it had deer scat for meat (round pellet-type #meat?). The Brisket Taco was very good, but the Street Tacos were pretty greasy and we ran out of napkins. When we noticed that the Street Tacos arrived with no lettuce, tomatoes or cheese (not to mention, no Avocado?) , we quizzed the waiter. He stated, "it doesnt come with all that." He saw the disappointed look upon our faces and asked, "Would you like me to get you some?" We told him, "Yes, please." When the bill arrived, we had been charged an extra $2.50 for a few shards of lettuce and a few pieces of diced tomato. We had to share the small dollop of Sour Cream that came on only one plate. With a soda and Tea, the total bill (with a mere $2.00 purposeful tip) was almost $30.00. The portions were small. $30.00 for a small lunch? Perhaps if we had drank some alcohol (and we dont), it might have seemed better. But, no one ever makes good decisions when intoxicated. We dont live around Denton/Corinth. Next time we come to visit, we will go back to Chilitos in Lake Cities or Mi Casita in Denton. Sorry, but we wont "Come Again!" Just being honest. Good luck!

Im going to give this a 2 star. Weve been here once before and thought the food was decent. My initial review probably would had been a 4 star, BUT having returned for a second time, I have to downgrade the rating. As mentioned, the first time we came here, the food was decent. Something that seemed close enough to the new house that we could enjoy. It had been awhile since we had Mexican food, but as soon as the thought came to mind, my girlfriend and I immediately thought of Mi Taza. She had the cheese enchiladas and 2 plain (unsauced) tamales on the side. I had the grilled mahi fish taco special. Her tamales were both impressively bland and salty at the same time, but otherwise her food was fine. My fish tacos were kind of bland as well and came with a side of a mayonnaise based sauce. I dont know if it was the sauce or the fish, but I was completely incapacitated a few hours later, with the worst intestinal pain I had ever felt. This lasted through the night with many trips to the bathroom there after. Needless to say, the unimpressive food and the resulting time spent on the porcelain throne has made us decide not to revisit this location.

Ive loved this place for several years. Employees are super, helpful and nice. Food is good. I dont understand the decision to take away the bar for two "couple booths" . Went from being able to sit 7 to 4 when the place is too small as it is. Not a good business decision to me, especially when people go to the bar to get drinks while waiting for a table to become available. I personally like sitting at the bar instead of a table. We got to meet a lot of people sitting at the bar and hung out with a lot of "regulars" that came in and also sat at the bar. We will now either go to Applebees or Gentis to meet up with our friends to have a few drinks with. VERY BAD DECISION on the owners part!!!

GREAT Local mexican food joint! Its first on our list for eating in the neighborhood! It is not without flaws. Once we had to send back some guacamole that was less than fresh. But we are beginning to to know the people by name, they know us. And we are definitely fans! IMPORTANT NOTE: This resteraunt used to be under different management, and IT WAS NOT GREAT!

Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Their chimichangas are incredible, and I cant recommend the chicken chimichanga highly enough. Their salsa, although spicey, is very good and frequently refilled by wait staff. The waiters are very attentive and the order is always correct. Delicious food, attentive staff, and great salsa.

This has become the go to mexican food spot for our family. Every single thing Ive tried is delicious and consistent. The restaurant is cozy, the food is well priced and the service is great. We walk away smiling every time we visit. I would highly recommend Mi Taza to anyone who loves texmex and great service.

The salsa is not hot, but it is fresh and good.if you want it hotter add some valentino to it.they do have green sauce that is hotter and only 1 buck.they have chillie torres and are excellent,there lightly fried jalapenos.food and service was good.restaurant is clean,prices good.i will come back.

I rarely leave a bad review, in fact, this is only my second. DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR, go to Taco Bell instead, it will be cheaper, and taste better. Any positive reviews of this place will be from employees. I eat out a lot and just moved into the area. What a disappointment this place is.

This is a great restaurant! We ordered the fajitas and they came out fast, hot, and delicious! The salsa is awesome - ate too much as usual though :). Beyond the great food, the service is even more fantastic. Very attentive staff and friendly.

This nice, cozy little place recently changed management and re-enlivened their menu. I recently (June 2012) had a three-enchilada dinner (one of each, please!) there that was outstanding. Highly recommended.
