I have lived in the Denton and surrounding areas for ten years, and after trying many different Tex-Mex restaurants, this place has hands down the best cheese enchiladas in the area. I grew up in Albuquerque and am partial to New Mexican cuisine, and their cheese enchiladas remind me most of the food from back home. The only reason I did not give the restaurant four or even five stars is because their service has been diminishing quite a bit lately. The last two times I have dined there, the restaurant has been relatively busy yet with only one waitress taking the orders and delivering the food. At lunch today, after waiting for at least ten minutes, I had to inform the cashier that my order had not yet been taken. There have been other staff members in the restaurant on these occasions, such as the cashier and a person who delivers chips and salsa, and it would make good business sense for them to be trained to take orders and refill drinks during situations like this. Overall, though, I would recommend this restaurant.

Like alot folks in the area, we have drove past this place many times, but finally decided to stop and check it out. Upon entry we were greeted right away and given our choice of seating. Chips/Salsa/beans (all good) were presented right away with our drink orders. The menu has a more traditional mexican flavor to it. They have several huevos dishes including huevos rancheros and chorizo for example, as well as enchiladas, burritos, chimichangas, etc. Food prices are very reasonable as are the drink prices. The meal was served on hot plates with plenty of food. Very will cooked (had the huevos with chorizo). We had three cervezas (beer) and two dinners for around twenty bucks! Definitely will revisit and try other menu items. Good service, good prices and good food.

By far my favorite Mexican food restaurant in North Texas DFW area. I LOVE the chicken chille relleno guacamole, mexican coke, and Mexican shrimp cocktail. The also have the best free salsa chips and bean soup. Food quality is excellent. I always get to order in Spanish and the wait staff is great and loves to converse back and forth in both English or Spanish if you are trying to learn the spanish language. Thanks for being such an awesome place with a perfect ambience. A real hole in the wall you have to try it!

This is a great place with great food. It has a definite homey feel. It feels like youre in a family-run restaurant in Mexico. Im not meaning one in a run-down area, not that Mexico is run-down. Im talking about a nice homey family-run Mexican restaurant. They have great food, nice decor, and a lovely menu. Its definitely a "must-visit" if youre in the mood for Mexican food.

Not bad. Good free chips and salsa. Salsa just a wee bit on the oniony side but not so much to be a deal breaker. Good portions for price. Queso was more like thick melted cheese but not the same as just melting shredded cheese. Shredded chicken was moist and had some flavor. Decent service. I will be back to try other items.

They have the nicest staff of any restaurant in Denton. The food is very good and the lunch is an incredible value in this day and age of overpriced sit-down restaurants. They should open another restaurant to handle the overflow. They would double their profits.

Stopped by en route back to Oklahoma for a quick bite. Was quite impressed, food was great and so were the prices. Service was wonderful. Will keep this place in mind when traveling through again. Certainly recommend!

Great food and very reasonable prices. And if you like your salsa with a little kick, theirs is the one to try. I recently ordered 3 crispy beef tacos to go, ala carte, with chips and salsa for $6.50. Cant beat that.

Its one of those small family owned places people call "hole in the walls". Its delicious and worth the stop! Everything we had was delicious. Prices were very affordable too. Would definitely go back!

Cheap and Authentic Mexican food. Chips and Salsa is my favorite in town. You cant beat the prices of the Lunch Menu. Order #22 (Sour Cream Enchiladas with Rice and Beans). Not open Mondays :(
