We pass this place everytime we go to the farm in Bowie. We stopped today. Grabbed brisket, smoked saisage, pulled pork and ribs with pinto beans and mac& cheese. First, the staff was all young and very polite, service-oriented and helpful. The decor made me wish I was eating in. The fireplace was a nice touch and the restaurant was spotless. So the food-none of it was over smokey..... ot tasted like real meat with some smoke flavor. Thank God! The brisket was salt rined and moist. The smoke ring waa nice but again, not overpowered with smoke. The robds were good and the saisage nice as well. Now the pulled pork.... it was AMAZING! The flavor was great. The meat tender and juicy and the best I have had. I highly recommend stopping in or running by. And dont forget the jalapeno, bacon mac & cheese. It is creamy, tasty and flavored woth enough of the jalapeno to have a small zing, but still be edible by kids. Finish your meal with banana pudding!! Leeper Creek is a great stop and great value with great food.

Leeper Creek is a gem in the grasslands of Texas! As truckers my husband and I cherish any location that offers an experience. Leeper Creek has rustic antique decor, a beautifully landscaped back deck complete with waterfall, fairy lights and unique bridges. But most of all they have excellent food! The brisket was sublime. Jalapeno bacon Mac & Cheese delectable...and crunchy perfectly balanced cole slaw. We split a rib combo and did not finish it all. Yum!!!!❤

No ranch dressing for your fries in the whole place. They dont have okra as a side LOL. Sides were already in Styrofoam, tasted like my Mac and cheese has been sitting there a few days. My sandwich was tiny, my other half got 2 meats LOL not even close for the price we paid nope. We arent gonna be going bk. I put it in the same category as Dickeys! I wish I had taken a picture.

I started to wonder what is wrong with Decatur. We cant seem to get any good place to eat. Well here it is....in 25 years of my residence of Wise county we finally got good food with good parking. The same family owns Dairy Queen which has been in Decatur since Moby Dick was a minnow so they know quite a bit about food service industry.

Use to go to a different place but it closed down. I use to go to Cow Camp, and just loved the Log Cabin look.... but this place is so much better. We dont eat BBQ any where else now. And we always sit out back.... love the waterfall, and the music! The people are awesome and the food always hits the spot!

Awesome ambiance (is it OK to use that word in conjuction with Texas BBQ?)! Food is great, but the atmosphere & decor is well thought out & subtly authentic. Great outside venue & atmosphere. Even the landscaping, understated but indigenous, is a delight.

Brisket was amazing! The fresh cut fries were great also! But that was it! The sides were not good and lack variety. The chicken tasted like it was sitting for a long time. The atmosphere was great! The restaurant was very clean!

Brisket lean was great, sauce is tasty if you like a bit sweet with a tad of spice (yum). Ribs were dry, chicken was OK but missing smokey flavor. Mac and cheese was dry and gummy. Green beans were yummy, red beans were watery.

Just love it. Turkey breasts, tender and juicy. Brisket, half lean & half fat with their BBQ source make the flavor in balance. Sausage, is little dry but crunchy.
