I really, really wanted to like this. I even was able to convince my husband (who doesnt care for Cajun food) to go. I ordered the gumbo and it was awful! I really think they may have been out and just threw what they had in a bowl, diluted it with water and topped it with sausage. It was soooo sweet, there wasnt a single piece or chicken and even the rice was bad. Really disappointed. What a waste of money. Oh and all of our food was cold. The only redeeming thing was the fries, but we certainly wont be returning just for French fries. Oh, the staff was nice. And I forgot to add that I threw a bottle of hot sauce in my gumbo trying to add some flavor and trying to counter the sweetness

Im the only one here, understandably at 3:30 pm. The tunes are typically New Orleanian, raw, bluesy, and make this place feel like the quarter. Sitting next to a huge pic on the wall of the trolley on St. Charles. Jambalaya is todays special, and it is nicely seasoned amd appropriately spicey. Huge helping (enough for two), and chock full o sausage and chicken. The greens are perfectly cooked, and do not disappoint this Mississippian. Cornbread is flakey and sweet like a dessert. I prefer a cornbread not to be sweet, but this is really good. I will be back

I ordered the cajun chicken spicy with two sides (potato salad and beans)and my husband ordered the jerk chicken.Everyone handling the food wore gloves except for the manager. Since this place is new Orleans inspired I thought they would have more flavor in their food. I was highly disappointed. Also their were gnats flying around the restaurant so I was constantly trying to get them away. The customer was great at this place but I will not be back since the food is not good at all

First visit with a coupon. Different food items offered with that cajun flavor; sweet potato souffle and corn pudding were very tasty. Order at the counter and food brought to your table. Try the BBQ sauce choices on the table with portions of your meat orders. Also saw my first Pepsi beverage machine that allows you to mix and match with many different choices.

My favorite part of this place is the vinegar based BBQ sauce. If youre tired of the typical sweet BBQ taste I highly recommended it. My husband and I eat here often and so far our favorites are the brisket, pulled pork and the potato soufflé. For the price this place is pretty good in our book!

I dont know how to describe VooDoo and I dont think they do, either. They are basically a BBQ joint with a cajun twist but they arent BBQ enough or Cajun enough. The food isnt bad, its just forgettable. I dont regret eating here, but Im in no hurry to come back.

There are WAY better BBQ places than this one. We got discount gift cards for this place at Costco and decided to try it out. Not worth it, even at 20% off. They are always out of stuff, their BBQ is dry and unflavorful. Awful, just awful.

Friendly staff and manager, food always served promptly and DAMN is it good! Best thing to get is the carnival, either as a sandwich or as a platter. Ive had them cater to my job as well and they are very reasonable.

Being from New Orleans, the food was actually good. I had the shrimp po boy. The shrimp was seasoned well, but they did not use the right bread. It was more a Philly cheese steak loaf instead of French bread.

Food was good as well as the service. Its a counter order type of place but we were checked on a couple times and they even brought sauces/silverware to us. The prices were great and theres an outdoor area too.

Great BBQ and side dishes (be sure to try the corn pudding). We tried the brisket, pulled pork, ribs and chicken. All were delicious and inexpensive. FYI: Free beer while they await their license.
