Food is ok. Came here to complain about a server. Personality is rude in general. Please dont be a server if you cant be a genuinely nice person to your guests. My friend ordered a regular bowl of soup and only two minutes later we waved down the server. My friend asked for a half bowl instead. The server said she rang it up already and it would be too late. She was rude about it. Also, when I ordered the banh fire bowl, she asked what meat. I simply asked her what kind they have. She made a weird sound like "uh" and pointed at the rather large and awkward menu. All she had to tell me was the few meat options they had. I just happened to miss it on the menu. She seemed so inconvenienced by my asking. She also brought our check and she never asked if we wanted to split it or not, which we needed split. She didnt come back for about ten minutes while we sat there awkwardly waiting for to go boxes. We decided to do the math and split the bill ourselves. Honestly, I always leave a tip but I didnt want to this time. She should be working where she doesnt have to serve people. The place wasnt extremely busy. Also, no excuse to be rude.

The food here is amazing, and the staff take a real interest in making sure that everything is up to your expectations. Everyone is super nice and seems to genuinely care whether youre enjoying your meal. Ive had most of the sandwiches on the menu (pork belly is my favorite) and several appetizers, and everything Ive tried has been fantastic. The portions on the appetizers are on the small side, but that makes sense to me, as I wouldnt want to fill up on just the appetizers. Unlike most other restaurants, these guys price the small appetizers appropriately ($2- $3), so you can actually order a couple different ones for a total of about $5, and still have room for your sandwich. As an added bonus, oftentimes when Torchys (across the street) has a line out the door, this place is almost empty, and you can actually eat food thats just as good (albeit different) without waiting a freaking hour to place your order. Long story short: Just go. Youll be glad you did.

Apparently, this is the same server in the above review. My wife and I stopped by before our long flight to Doha. We were attended by a woman named Christina, and if u wanna know the meaning of the word rude; just ask for her next time u eat there. Only greeting we received when our server got there was "what do u want to drink". I asked for coffee and was told , " the coffe isnt very good here, u should try the Starbucks a round the corner". Then, after getting my drink I asked if there were any specials or what did she recommend ", her response almost made me just leave. She rolled her eyes at me. If it wasnt for my pending long flight I would have just left. Overall, I think the food was pretty good and would recommend it to my friends as long as long as they could get a better server. The only reason I say this is cause I dont believe one person should represent an entire restaurant. Hopefully, she is just one bad example.

You can NEVER go wrong with the Banh Fire Bowl (w/o peanuts of course). I adore their rice bowls; flavorful & loaded. Had one banh mi here, very tasty. Its also a plus that they have adult drinks here. To the scathing review of their noodle bowl, I admit I have not tried it yet. I know noodles are easy to mess up so I dont order them readily. Banh Shop has cans EASILY seen in their kitchen & I assure you their are no "Chef Boyardee Spaghetti Os" or whatever. I tried the summer special of Lobster Bowl. My-oh-my how succulent! The price for that was a bit steep however and could use Viet Fish Sauce if they had any. I am a loyal customer from Denton, this is a favorite stop when I come to the Big D.

This place was great until you ask for a call in order. I was placed on hold for over 11 minutes. No courtesy answer...nothing. I have a screen shot to prove. Hang up and call back to speak with the manager and they refuse to speak with me. I understand crunch time but this is B.S. I told my visitors how awesome this place was as I was going to PAY FOR and have them pick up but was told...."the manager is too busy..." WTH...I am a manager and that not only shows the integrity of the business but I would have been reprimanded. Run your business as you see fit but I will no longer patronize your establishment and I will stop referring people to you for your close proximity.

The food here is exceptionally poor quality and bad for your health. Very greasy. I think there were two pieces of corn (I cant even believe that is a thing) in my noodle dish, which also tasted like it had been mixed with a can of Chef Boyardee ravioli. If you are going to eat junk food, at least do it somewhere else, like Mc Donalds. Whoever compares this to the Taco Bell of Asian food is spot on. It is rediculous that people even consider this acceptable. This is nothing like Vietnamese food nor is it authentic Thai by ANY stretch of the imagination. Pei Wei or Panda Express would be more worth your money and calories. But I wouldnt recommend those places either.

Ill go a bit easy because they just opened and may have some kinks to work out. I ordered 3 of the sandwiches. Ham, steak, chicken. The flavors were pretty forgettable. Nothing really stood out except that the ingredients could definitely stand to be be more fresh. The bread was ok, but nothing "wowd" me. I also tried the pina colada. For the price, its not worth it. Its a pre-made mix... reminded me of a QT smoothie. They also only have 3 beers on tap, but theyre decent so thats fine. As far as environment goes, its ok. Service was great. You can find better Banh Mi in Dallas though. This isnt my cup of tea, but only time will tell of theyll be a hit.

Food is great, and so is the service. I got two items - the fire bowl with chicken and lettuce (instead of rice) was flavorful but I was missing the fire. A heavy dose of sriracha solved that problem. I also got the chicken meatball banh mi. Dont be surprised when it comes out not in meatball form. I didnt read the entire description so I was surprised when my sweet taste buds fired away upon the first bite. It tasted good, but I wouldnt get it again as I prefer my banh mis savory. Down one star because I needed to eat two to be full. The banh mis are half off on Tuesdays, so Id say 5 stars on Tuesdays and 4 all other days.

The Bahn Shop has really taken off. We go there for lunch during the work week. Thursday half-priced bowls when you buy a drink and Tuesdays half-priced bahn-mi sandwiches. Their bowls can be customized, but they have a set menu that pleases almost everyone. I get the Bahn Fire (such a great pun) with tofu almost everytime. It is delicious, especially their jalapeno, cilantro sauce. They have appetizers, and a relatively good selection of drinks for it being a smaller place.
