FOOD POISONING/CONTAMINATION ALERT: My husband and I ate at ModMarket on Walnut Hill Lane on the evening of May 24. It was our 3rd and final visit to ModMarket. We ate dinner about 8:15pm and we were incredibly sick by 10pm. We continued to get sick well into the next day. I contacted ModMarket on May 25 at 9:15am to tell them what happened so they could pull the food and prevent someone else from getting ill. I also provided our receipt info and exactly what we ate so they could track who helped us, etc. The manager dismissed my report. I followed up on Wed, May 27 with a General Manager who passed my complaint to their area manager. The area manager promised to look in to the situation - but we all know how self-policing works, right? I also mentioned in our conversation that it could have been contamination from mishandling food or not washing hands. Of course, they found nothing. And, they offered to do: nothing. (How about coming back in to eat at no charge? No thanks!) I recognize it is a difficult situation to rectify, but the least they could do was not lie to me. The Health Department paid a visit (not at my request, tho my name and contact info was used by someone connected to them) and found at least one employee that was NOT wearing gloves while handling what they call "ready to eat" food. So, what they denied could have happened at their establishment because they "watched 12-hours of tape" and their "employees would never..." I am posting this because I am disappointed in ModMarkets reaction and response to getting my husband and I so ill. I waited to post so they could have an opportunity to correct a mistake and maybe learn something. If a health inspector stopped by nearly 2 weeks after our incident and found at least 1 employee that wasnt mindful of maintaining a sanitary environment, it sounds like their efforts of "talking to employees" and "retraining" werent very good or didnt happen at all. I know several of my friends and neighbors eat there, so hopefully you can be alert if you eat there again.

First visit- Ordering was easy, even for a vegan! Employee was still learning what was in everything but they had a handy ingredients book for every bread, dressing, and dish etc. Layout and design is great and inviting. Large indoor and outdoor seating. Tons of parking, surrounded by all new restaurants and bars and the Trader Joes. This place gives off the idea that they know what theyre doing and can accommodate any diet and you can actually trust whats in their stuff. Website is wonderfully laid out with pictures of every dish including the nutritional information and ingredients for everything. Ordered split pea soup and an eggplant sandwich, LOVE. Im pissed I didnt already know about this place! Its cafe style, order at the register, sit and pick up youre food when its ready. Tv screens as menus, buzzers to let you know your food is ready, nutritional and ingredient information handy at register, this place did everything right! Definitely will be back and recommend for everyone to try!

Pepper. Thats literally all i can taste, every thing is covered in it so it builds and builds with every mouthful. The guy at the cash register must be tired because he had to lean on the wall the whole time and i could barely hear him mumbling to me. The steak was fatty,the chicken was dry. Both obviously pre-cooked which i know is their thing but its blatantly obvious and not in a good way. 2 yr old loved her free mac n cheese cos it was Monday! Coke machine was out of order which wouldnt usually bother me but i asked "what are the drinks do you have coke"to which he mumbled yeah...!! We wont visit again unfortunately.

Fresh ingredients. The salads are good; the pizzas okay but not exciting. The homestyle plates are tasty but seem a little overpriced, considering neighboring restaurants offer full service for roughly same price. Service issue: on one of my visits when the manager was not there and restaurant was almost empty the people behind the counter looked over from working but never came over to the register where I was waiting for several minutes, so I left without ordering.

I want every restaurant to be like this. The workers have a passion for real, healthy, natural food and they want to share that passion with you. They have a good spread of choices from salad, sandwiches and pizza, to chicken and beef. Food is prepared fresh, right where you can see it. The drinks are natural sugar and the ingredients are locally produced when able. The atmosphere is relaxed, making for a good lunch break or meeting place.

Whatever you do, DO NOT order the half pizza like I did, order the whole one because you regret not do so. Lol. It was the best bbq chicken pizza Ive EVER had l!!! The gluten free chocolate chip cookies also gave me life, ordered one at first, left with four!!! The custome service & vibe was even than the food!! Will most definelty be back!! I appreciate health cautious places like this where you dont have to sacrifice tastiness!!

Im served fresh, delicious food in under 10 minutes every time I dine here. They recently changed up their beers to all dfw area brews. It doesnt really apply to me, but kids eat free every Monday night, which sounds like a sweet deal. All of the dishes are built right in front of you and the friendly staff seems to keep everything clean.

It is a clean and nice looking restaurant. The Crimini Kale pizza is the best pizza they have, its perfect in every way. The curry pea soup is super good as well but if you want it for your main meal than you should get the larger size bowl because the smaller bowl is about 3.5 inches in diameter.

Great food and a really cool atmosphere. They really care about their food and it shows in the quality! The coolest part for me is that they have a basic rundown of the nutritional information for the food you ordered printed on the receipt, how cool is that?

First time here.The food was very good. The chicken was juicy and well seasoned. The only problem was I ordered online and went in at the pickup time and they had forgotten to fill the order. Hopefully they will work out the kinks in this new location.

The rocket egg sandwich was wonderful and they made it gluten free!! Service was friendly, but took a little longer than usual. Good selection of hot tea, and calories for everything are posted and printed on the receipt!! I Love it!

Health and tasty food. The pizzas are adequate size and fill you up but dont make you regret living. Parking nearby can be a bit of a nightmare though. Try the garage if you cant find something on the street, dont use trader Joes lot.
