Syntax Error
A favorite hidden spot. I wont be rating this place for the Brisket or Ribs.. What I come here for is the Chop BBQ sandwich. Whenever I am out this direction, I stop by to grab a Chop BBQ sandwich. Sometimes I take my sandwich to go and eat along the river at a picnic table, other times I eat under their roof at the picnic tables. Its a good place to grab food if you want to take a scenic drive down river road which starts right outside their restaurant. The BBQ in the chop sandwich is pretty good.. compared to other chop sandwiches this is one of my favorites. It has a lot of smokey mesquite flavor, the meat is tender, and the sauce brings it all together. The portion sizes on these sandwiches is good as well and makes for a good lunch when bundled with some chips and a soda which they offer as a combo. On a side note.. this place gets some traffic, Ive placed business cards on the tack board, and received calls from people who know me.. keep in mind I live 40 miles from the location. This is a great spot for a weekend drive, a quick meal thats tasty and affordable. Give it a try.. it might become a favorite of yours too.

Unlike what everyone says this by far not the best bbq ,average at best...prices are high ,lines long and employees can be very rude if you get certain ones and they dont know you ...you shouldnt have to go somewhere every day to get good customer service,dont they want to build their business? I guess not! I am tired of running for my employers once a month and not being treated the same as other people Im in line with. They also skip people ahead because they do "know" them...maybe theyd have enough business,so I guess they dont want mine!

Pretty solid bbq, but not outstanding. I had the 2-meat combo with ribs/brisket and macaroni and cheese and green beans for the sides. The ribs were pretty good but overcooked. The were also cut strangely, so there was a LOT of cartilage. The ribs were lathered in sauce that was on the sweet side. Brisket was average and a tad dry. Sides were good. I wrapped things up with chocolate pecan pie. Again, it was tasty without being extraordinary. Prices were very fair--$8.75 for the 2-meat plate, service was friendly and fast.

Forget the overpriced and over-hyped chains and those over-hyped Texas Monthly boutique BBQ joints; this is the real deal. No fancy atmosphere, no braggadocio, but plenty of quality,satisfying BB-Q brisket, chicken, turkey, ribs and sausage. If youre in the area, drop by this unimposing establishment; youll be glad you did.

In my opinion five stars wasnt enough stars for the great food provided by this great little BBQ joint. Made our family reunion dinner great. And a special shout out to Lucy for getting it together with us changing out minds so much. We will not even consider any place else for our next reunion on Cannon Lake

I eat here more often than I should, its not Texas Style BBQ it is REAL TEXAS BBQ :-) great service great food, (the ribs are my favorite) and when they are not sold out, they have Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie (Homemade).

The food is okay, but the service ruins it all. The lady who took my order was VERY rude and laughed at me to other customers. I wouldnt recommend this place. VERY RUDE. Will not be back.
