Horrible service! The owner is a real p.o.s. if you ask me . Food is sub par (I can do better jn my back yard) and i kindly asked for a refund. When i asked why I showed them the that the bun on myh burger was burnt black! The chicken they gave me was dry like it was reheated from the day before and the brisket was just a sloppy mess of left over scraps no slices. ( bottom on the pan stuff) they denied me my refund and told me that was the usual quality of food they sell and have been in business for over 30 years......just because the lights have been on for over 30 years doesnt make this a quality establishment...horrible food sold by equally horrible people..dont waste your time or money.

went there, appearances are decieving with this restaurant. I went to lunch with some of my managers, and we had the combo plate. The only draw back is the sides are so small, and they had to be ordered on the side. my managers words"this bbq tastes like something i would make at home, if i knew how to bbq" truth be told their fajitas are smoked. The appearance like i said is quaint, but their food delivers! David

The brisket appeared to be re-heated from prior days cooking & the pork ribs very dry. Tried to hide the dryness with their sauce but it ran off the meat and has very little flavor.....the waitress told me that the best item on the menu is their fajitas! Really...that isnt BBQ....maybe time to change the name to Red Barn Tex Mex?? There are beter BBQ joints inMcAllen

You know I loved the food here, always great service but recently bumped into the owner and he made a gay remark to me, really suprised me and I suprised him when I told him I was gay and thought it rude for him to act that way. Dont judge people, you might be talking to a local guide who will post on google, haha Oh well, I dont go to eat there anymore.

If youre looking for good homestyle BBQ, this is a great option. The meat quality is on point, the sides are flavorful, and the sauce is very flavorful, and the service is consistent. This place has been in business for over 30 years, and the quality shows. Definitely worth a visit!

First off rice was dry,bread was hard, potato salad had no flavor , and the owner was very rude when I brought up my issues with here she simply stated you should of sent back the plate.over all food sucked and so did management!

If I could give less than this I would. The workers there are rude and not professional. I called to speak to a manager and was hung up on. Food is not all that great.
