Id give this location zero stars if I could, DO NOT waste your time visiting this location, the Arlington or Deep Ellum locations are totally worth the drive if you really want Twisted Root! Twisted root has good burgers but this location does NOT deserve your hard earned money. The customer hating red headed manager Haley is a rude, money hungry, greedy, ignorant little girl to say the least! Me and my husband spent two and a half hours here trying to chill and talk as we were low key celebrating a huge win in a child custody battle in court this morning and Haleys rudeness totally squashed our vibes not once but twice! Another patron was talking to Haley and her co-workers about his tattoo business and we chimed in trying to get his business card and enjoy the friendly conversation but Haley had the audacity to give us a go to hell look and turned her back to cut us (paying customers who happen to LOVE to tip BIG for good service) out of the conversation! Then she tells the staff to stop serving us and said in order to get a 3rd beer we would have to order food... after 2.5 hours?!?!? Really, because we were social enough to try and join your conversation and enjoy the twisted root atmosphere? Ugh! So to be cordial and try to overlook Haleys rudeness we ordered a burger (tried the camel, it was decent but undercooked). After we were rudely abandoned by staff as we ate we asked to pay and Haley snatched up our cash and didnt even give so much as a thank you with our change and receipt! Maybe some customer service training could help you guys bring in more business, just sayin...

Fairly average. The décor and atmosphere seem trite and overblown given that the burgers are mediocre. Perhaps it was an off day, but when I ate there the food was not good, and certainly not worth the price tag. It is important to note that the cost of the burgers does not include sides. You want fries? That will be extra, thanks. As for the burgers, the meat was somewhat of a culinary miracle. It was both rubbery AND dry! I havent the slightest clue how they pulled that off, but it is a wonder. A terrible wonder. The bun was dry and flaky. I was originally confused as to how to hold a burger whos bun slowly disintegrated as I got further into eating it. Then I looked around the dining area and noticed that others were experiencing the same phenomena. Is this a new trend in burger construction? Did market research show that people want more grease and meat juices on their hands than in their mouths? And no, the fries and fried pickles did not make up for this peculiar burger failure. They were average. Average with an slightly above average price tag. Suffice to say, eat here if you like dry burger patties and dry buns. I for one, will pass up on a second attempt.

I am new to Texas and Im always looking for a local spot to eat. I absolutely love a good burger and Twisted Root is the best Ive found. If you love local food, great burgers with great atmosphere then look no further. Twister Root does an amazing job of putting a great twist on simple food. I typically make my own burger but they have some incredible options to hit each of your taste buds. Not only do they make an incredible burger but their fried pickles are an ABSOLUTE MUST. Everyone hates waiting for their food once they place their order and Twisted Root recognizes that. They have created a pickle bar (yes a pickle bar) with different flavors to enjoy while you watch the game on tv. Once your order is ready they make you feel like your favorite celebrity. Youll see what I mean when you visit. They also have a great bar selection if your like me and want a good brew while you enjoy your food and watch the games. If you havent eaten at a Twisted Root you are missing out. They have a few locations throughout the DFW area including one in the DFW airport. I strongly recommend you visit them TODAY!!!!

I went with high expectations, wanting to see what eclectic, gourmet twist they might put on a hamburger. The atmosphere is ordinary, except the menu is crayon on brown butcher paper, hung from the wall. I ordered the Bacon Bomb and the Pimp My Fries. It appeared to me that they might have used a frozen beef patty, flavorless and dry, and the thick cuts of bacon were cooked hard as tree bark. The fries were average, but smothered in chili. At the soda fountain, I found a home brewed root beer that was good, though I dont recommend the twisted root beer flavors. Wanting to give this place a fair shake, I decided to try one of their concretes. The flavor of the month sounded disgusting, so I played it safe and chose the peanut butter and brownie. It was no concrete, but a soupy, gritty milkshake. My entire meal was a mediocre disappointment. I came away with the impression that the teenage staff might be running all aspects of the franchise, from designing the menu to ordering the ingredients. This establishment strives for quirkiness, and achieves eccentricity, but not in a good way.

I was in the area and saw this place, so wanted to try. Read the reviews and overall good, saw some people complaining about the price/ You get what you pay for, so thought I would give it a try. Have to say, I am VERY glad I did! The service was fantastic. The guy that took my order had piece of duct tape as a name tag and all it said was manager. He was very helpful in picking out a burger and made his own recommendations. I got the Hawaiian and he was recommending it with the Kangaroo meat.I was very tempted to try that, bu figured I would stick with beef as it was my first time. Also got the Sweet Potato chips, which were out of this world. Very flavorful and NOT loaded with salt. To drink I had the Black Cherry Banana punch, which was also very good. All told, I spent about $12. May seem pricey, but what does it cost to go to Chipotle to get a burrito and drink? $10-11? I love Chipotle, but this was definitely much better.

Cant go wrong with any burger joint that has combo choices like the "Kevin Bacon" or "Freshmen 15!" Or you can go the Create-Your-Own route too. The burgers are always cooked well. Had to try buffalo this last time and I was pleased. Looking forward to trying some of their other game meats too. They also change up their root beer and lemonade concoctions. Those are mostly hits, occasionally misses, but thats not why you come. You come for the meat. A really relaxed atmosphere to enjoy good food with friends. Check out the Chuck Norris jokes in the bathroom if you have to, you know, go.

Very reasonably priced burgers that taste great. I really like the home made root beer and the seasonal flavored root beers are fun to try. Very fun and cool atmosphere. They can be a little stingy with the vegetables though. Ive been in a few times and they forget to put tomatoes on my burger. It is cool that they offer unique burgers that sound fun and interesting like the bison burger or a Verde burger with green chillies and guacamole. If youre in the mood for a good burger and are in the area you should stop by. There really isnt any other options for a good quick burger around.
