The prices are exorbitant for the quality of the food. It was acceptably good, but not even close to worth the prices. Ive had better baby back ribs at CHILIS, and that is kind of sad, really. We ordered grilled chicken wings for an appetizer and were served deep fried chicken bites (these were also on the menu but were not what we ordered) The service was acceptable but not really great. She didnt even come back aroud to see how our food was before we asked for a check. If she had, I would have told her it sucked. Because it really did, for the price. My friend got kabobs and they were drenched in salt to an unreasonable degree. The baby back rib sauce was just bad, and the prices were all far too high for what you get. Save your money, go to a small take out BBQ place that wont pillage and plunder your wallet just for a nice view.

So far, the County Line is my favorite bbq joint in Austin. Granted, I havent tried them all yet, but CL holds first place on my palate. While this restaurant serves the standard selection of meats and sides, they go the extra mile to ensure high quality of every item they serve. The bread is the absolute best Ive ever eaten at a bbq joint in my life. It is fresh baked honey wheat sliced in thick portions and its delightful slathered with their honey butter. No overkill here because the honey is subtle in the bread and the butter. There are special freshly made bbq sauces that come in mild, spicy and one specifically for the pork. The deserts feature a homemade tasting banana pudding just like your granny used to make. And, the view is spectacular! Yummers!

I had a certain expectation from this place and the actual experience was surpassed! From the staff, to the view, to the delicious bread. It was a cold day in December, which meant most people where dining inside. We wanted the full experience, so we dined outside taking in the incredible view. We had a combination of orders. The veggie kabobs had a lemon pepper to them that I still havent been able to recreate on my grill. The combination plate which included; ribs, sides and meats where absolutely delicious. We all agreed that the best treat, was their BREAD!!! We had to order some to go, and enjoyed it on the way back to Houston.

Their bread is the best. You have to order it if you go, the one that is free is not the one. You must pay for it, get half and half and you wont be disappointed. Its so good and fluffy. This location is nice, but I like the one on the lake better. This one is easier to get in and out of though. So there is its pros and cons. There is good hill country views from this location as well. the food is okay, Im not a big fan of their BBQ at times, but there are good days and bad days, but its an Austin place to go.

I am a big fan of all BBQ and I have to say that County Line is one of my favorites. While the plates can be expensive, you will get so much food that you will be able to share or have leftovers for a few days. I would agree with people who say that the brisket is not up to legendary Texas BBQ standards, but County Line makes some delicious ribs, sausage and sides (especially the mac and cheese). It depends on what kind of BBQ youre looking for but I would highly recommend County Line to anyone.

The shredded beef and lean original brisket were very bland, as was the barbecue sauce. Its like they didnt even try. The bread on the brisket sandwich was too thick and absorbed all the barbecue sauce. My husband says I should mention that we ordered the cheapest entrees and in the middle of the afternoon. The view is advertised as the best hill country view, and maybe it is, but its a pretty boring view. Granted, I live in Seattle.

Rough start, but good food. There was nobody available to seat our group of nine, we waited for about five minutes until I walked towards the kitchen to grab someone to help us. We also had to grab our own silverware. Food: Turkey was great, mashed potatoes incredible. I had the 2nd cut meat but I think I would have preferred the lean cut. They accommodated our nine separate checks without hesitation.

The view and atmosphere are great, but the food tastes like it was cooked in an oven. Granted, it tastes like it was cooked well in an oven, but it doesnt have that smokey flavor that is so vital to Texas barbecue. County Line is a nice place to go if you want to have a relaxing dinner with some folks from out of town, but if youre looking for quality Texas barbecue, youre better off at Rudys.

The food and service at this location were not as good as at the County Line on the Lake, in comparing two trips to this location and more trips to that location. Dry, brown brisket both times, and stretched waitstaff dont make up for the better view at this location. You may have better luck, but Id wait for a day when you feel more like seeing the sunset than tasting quality barbecue.

We went to a private event here in the back room. The space was great and had access to the patio with a wonderful view! The BBQ was pretty good, though not the best. The white bread however is homemade and delicious! My favorite thing was the southern language translation tape playing in the bathroom. Too funny! I would consider hosting an event here for sure.

A little bit of a down night for County Line on the Hill last night. The salad was limp and the waitress was not on the ball. The meat was great and the atmosphere is as usual spectacular. I am still a fan, but I think that the management needs to tighten up a bit to make sure that the fantastic reputation that it has earned in the past does not slip.

Great BBQ and atmosphere, this is one of the places I always bring people when they visit and want a taste of Austin. Good homemade bread, great sausage, and superb beef ribs. Lots of beer and a variety of sampler options to try various meats on the menus. Not a lot for vegetarians, but if you love BBQ, this is one of the top 3 places to try in town.

They have a talking cow head! At least in the ladies restroom, theres a recording of the translation of the Texan language... There is a good view, but I think my food was blockin mine. Its a LOT of food. One of my friends ordered a plate that ended up being 3x the size of what I had ordered. Pretty intense.

On a lazy, breezy, sunny afternoon, we were pointed to this place while passing through Austin for a few nights on our way from ATL to Los Angeles. A pitcher of beer, BBQ, and the ability to lounge around on their back patio watching the trees sway? We still talk about how perfect that day was, a year later.

The view from the patio is gorgeous. My husband and I ordered the combo plate of ribs, brisket, and sausage when we went. The brisket and sausage were our favorites since we are from Memphis and accustomed to pork ribs, which dont seem as fatty as beef ribs. The garlic mashed potatoes were most excellent.
