We recommend a visit from Jon Taffer... So, we went to this establishment with average expectations due to reviews. We was greeted by the hostess like normal and was taken to a table. We asked, politely I might add, to be moved to a table by a window, as this was the first time we have been here. The hostess got an attitude about moving us, and reluctantly placed us at the table in the front by a window. We sat and waited for about 8-10 minutes for someone to come to our table. Mind you, there was 3 tables with patrons, occupied between 2-4 per top. We shouldnt of have had to wait, but the servers were walking around very frustrated, like they were not in all happy to be there. Maybe because it was July 4th and they didnt want to help anyone, but I digress. We got up from our table and walked to the bar with hopes of being welcomed and with better service, a fail there as well. The temperature outside has a heat index of 105 degrees, we were thirsty. So, 2 or 3 minutes has passed, the bartender did not even respond to us until we said," hello". The bartender then said, "I will be with you in a moment", we said okay. He then walked away while gathering up things like trash, dishes, etc. on the bar top. A patron already at the bar asked for a drink, so he stopped what he was doing, and started making him a drink. We said thats it we are out of here. We got up and said, loud enough for the bartender to hear us, "sure would of been nice to had gotten a drink". The bartender at this time decided it was a good idea to call us out, (loud enough for the entire restaurant to hear), that he said, "just a moment"(with a very angry tone), and then shrugged us off like we mattered not. (I was under the impression that customers meant something to make money?) So, we said, aloud, (to match his tone and loudness) that we had already waited for at least ten minutes and then came to the bar with the same results. We were embarrassed by his remarks that he said in front of the other people in the restaurant. We felt harassed and publicly humiliated! So, we left quickly, and will not return. My over all experience, eat and/or drink at this establishment at your own risk. This bar and grill is equivalent to, and I quote, "a quick slide down a razor-blade into a pool of lemon juice". We "do not" recommend this restaurant/grill/bar to anyone!

Terrible experience. I had been there once before with my family and had a great experience so decided to go back and take some of my girlfriends (and their kiddos). After traveling in from New Braunfels, we walk into a somewhat empty restaurant, inside anyways, there were about 4 tables occupied. There was another group of people (about 5) there at the hostess stand. They told us to go ahead as they were being helped. We stood there and stood there and waited for almost 10 mins. Finally the hostess addresses us but assumes we were with the previous party. She assumed and never asked or greeted us for that matter. We tell her we are a party of 12--4 adults and 8 children. She is flustered and doesnt know what to do with us. Apparently they had several groups on the patio as it was a gorgeous day, and one more to come with a reservation. She tells us the wait will be about 20 mins. We ask is that because you have to put the tables together or theyre are no tables and we had to wait until some become available. Again, shes been flustered and says, nothing is available and they only have 2 servers. Really!? 2 servers on a beautiful, Spring Break lunch hour! We ask if it would be easier to sit inside. There was 2 tables of 6 side by side and I suggested we sit there instead. She says, it will still take 20 mins because they are busy and there were only 2 servers!! We decided to leave and have an enjoyable lunch elsewhere. The hostess set the precedent as a terrible experience and terrible service, glad we didnt stick around to make matters worse. Save yourself as we did! UPDATE: I did place a call into the manager. Since it was "lunch rush" (haha) he had to call me back. No problem. He did. I thought hed want to know about my experience. Only to hear him get hot and loud with me, like I did something wrong!!!! Argued and defended his staff and restaurant. All I know is when I worked in the service industry, to my understanding the customer was always right, NO MATTER WHAT!! And you always listened to what they had to say (period)!!!!! After bickering and arguing, Mr. Martinez did try to make things right, for my next visit!! Ugh, yeah right, thanks though!! Hence the reason for my terrible review!!!!!!!!

The view is what sells this place, thats its saving grace. Ok, that may not be fair - this is the first time we have ever gone. It will also be the last. Im not going to spend much time here, but I want to vent my issue publicly. Simply put, I ordered the ribeye, medium rare. The steak arrived about 20 minutes later cooked well done. There was no flavor and I sent it back. One of the managers, who I know read these reviews because they have responded to other reviews, approached with a heavy tone of attitude. What set me off and prompted this review was what he said next; "Ill have them cook it like that, but youre going to eat it right?" I responded with "Yes - Im paying for it, right?" He walked away. A new steak came to the table 10 minutes later. This steak was raw - like, it must have been intentionally cooked this way to try and be smart or something. I sent the steak back after asking for my money back. They would not oblige and took the steak back. Another 10 minutes later, the steak came back, well done. The manager did not respond. In closing, I will not return and I will not recommend this place to anyone unless they want to sit at the bar, have a beer and enjoy the view. Cheers...

What a cool place! I went for an after hours business meeting. Had never heard of the place, being from out of town. I arrived, and was impressed with the appearance of the place. I immediately liked it. Met at the door by a hostess who was very courteous and helpful with finding my party. I had my drink delivered by a very nice server within a couple of minutes of ordering. We pretty much kept a constant stream of appetizers and drinks coming to our table for a couple of hours. The server was on point, and everyone enjoyed the appetizers, especially the shrimp. We all eventually ordered meals. I had the meatloaf. Nothing spectacular, but it was good old fashioned meatloaf. What really makes me want to come back is the service and the location. It is so cool that they renovated an old power generation station. I love it. I hope they are able to work out whatever kinks they have in their operation, because I really want this place to succeed.

Excellent atmosphere, beautiful building. Food was very good, best homemade potato chips ever. Everyone loved their food. At our table we had Chicken Fried Steak, Meatloaf, Chicken Salad Sandwich, ACDC burger. Now the bad, would have given four stars if not for mediocre service. Three of us ordered tea, 2 glasses came out half full and we were told the tea was brewing and we would get 3rd glass when it was done. 10 minutes or so later we had to ask about the tea, waitress had forgot. One member of our party ordered a salad that was supposed to come before dinner, waitress forgot and had no clue she had until it was asked to be taken off of the bill. Had to ask for refills. At the time we were there only about 5 tables were occupied and there were several employees, we should not have had these issues. We will eat there again, just hope the service is better.
