My wife and I recently got married in Glen Rose and had our reception at the Riverhouse Grill and I cant say enough great things about the place. The food, of course, was delicious.We went in and ate a couple of different times to try everything and the service was always great. What really impressed me was the way Kelly (the manager) was so excited to help; not only with planning all the little dinner details, but coordinating with local vendors for the wedding. She said over and over "we can do this and that... NO charge of course". She even made us a beautiful wedding cake at an incredibly reasonable price. Great people, great food, country home appeal... you have to check it out!

My friend and I were driving home from Fort Worth at dinner time, and found this restaurant on a Google search. We were very pleased. It is in a very nice historic house, and soft jazzy music playing. The food was delicious! Absolutely. Loved the smoked Gouda mac&cheese, with bacon. My friend had the grilled salmon, and I had the ribeye. I forgot to ask about the market price of the ribeye (it was twice the price of the other entrées). I also recommend boxing your food yourself; our waitress only packed half of my leftovers to go, but I didnt realize it until I was home in San Antonio. :(

I did some research ahead of time for places to eat while on a road trip. This place had good reviews and was not a chain so I put it on my list. It was a nice surprise in a small town. Food was fresh. My son had the cheeseburger and it was a huge portion and the jalapeño cheese bun was delicious. The fresh dinner rolls were also piping hot and tasty. Asian chicken salad was good, but a little too much dressing. Came here on a Sunday at lunch time and the place was plenty crowded. Menu was somewhat limited, bit everyone found something they liked. I recommend!

Disappointing to see negative reviews because this place exceeded every possible expectation we had. Food was great, prices very reasonable, and staff was extremely friendly and courteous throughout the evening. Part of the appeal of a small town escape is to interact with people in a warm, secluded environment that you dont normally get to enjoy within a huge metropolitan area. The folks at Riverhouse Grill do a perfect job of combining small town charm with a dining experience that rivals any upscale establishment youd find in a big city.

We have been here twice and they are always very helpful and very kind. The service was prompt. The first time I had the house special which was quail. (My first time ever having it) That meal was delicious! The second time I had Voodoo pasta. I wasnt keen to the taste but it seemed to be a popular dish. It could have been my taste buds. I highly recommend you to try it out. Please dont expect to spend 20 or 30 dollars. We spend no less than 100.00 when we go but we save and treat ourselves on occasions. Its very much worth it.

I ordered a hamburger with no cheese. I was served a hamburger with cheese. When I pointed this out, my plate was taken away. Six or seven minutes later, the same plate with the same food was put in front of me. Most of the cheese had been scraped off and some mustard squirted on to cover any cheese still present. I left so my friends would eat their probably cold food and because I no longer believed I could trust what I was served.

Best way to end a long day... We stopped at dinosaur valley on a whim after a long long week and were starving after a hike... We couldnt agree on Mexican food or burgers so we came across this restaurant kind of by default... Best decision ever... Staff was great even though we were covered in dirt they welcomed us with a warm smile... Definitely get the Mac and cheese and the salad with orange vinaigrette!!

Nice building. Good service. In about 1PM for lunch. Ordered the catfish and special fries with coleslaw. Order came without coleslaw; they were out. Instead of choice of a vegetable or house salad substitution they said they added a "few" fries. Sold out of coleslaw? Not good! My wife had the burger and it was excellent. Maybe they have all the ingredients for the dinner menu items.

I had the Shrimp and Jack and Cheddar Cheese Grits! OMG! It was flavorful and filling. The cook on the shrimp was perfect. The Jack Daniels Bourbon glaze drizzled around the top was incredible! We found this place by accident, but will drive from Fort Worth to dine here again. Finished the meal with White Chocolate Bread Pudding with White Chocolate Bourbon sauce. Oh my!

This was our first time here at the Riverhouse Grill. Our food was amazing and the service was excellent! I had the Grilled Cowboy Ribeye with whipped potatoes and vegetables, which the Ribeye was seasoned perfectly! My wife had the Grilled Pork chop and hers was very very good. The gouda Mac and cheese was amazing as well!

I am already planning my trip to go for brunch tomorrow! Amazing food and excellent staff. I personally met with Kelli the owner, she was very accommodating and made us feel part of the family. Very laid back atmosphere, OK to be casual here! I had the grilled rib eye and my wife had the salmon, amazing dishes.

We sat on the front porch to eat lunch here with two small children who are picky about food. The service was prompt and the food was amazing. When the kids for bored, the staff offered up some sidewalk chalk and let them do artwork on the front sidewalk. If I am in Glen Rose again, I will go back here.

Had a reservation and still spent 45mins waiting for a table, another 15mins waiting for a server to help our table, another 30mins waiting for our food after ordering, and then we waited 30mins to get our check. Food was good, but service is the slowest Ive ever experienced at a restaurant!

Wonderful food and service. Both lunch and dinner are great!!!! We have never been disappointed. Family owned. We have made the Riverhouse Grill a New Years Eve tradition, we have dinner with friends every year and we all look forward to the next time.

Excellent food. Everything was seasoned well. Even the bread had seasoning cooked into it. We ordered the regular hamburger and chicken with waffles and both were delicious. Highly recommended and excellent service.

Best food in the area hands down. Great service. Beats anything else in Glen Rose, Granbury or Stephenville. Can get a little pricy. However I dont mind paying for good food. It is a rare find around here.

What an excellent place. I highly recommend this for upscale dining in the Glen Rose area. I dont think youll find a better restaurant. Owners were very friendly and offered us a free dessert.
