ittle Tokyo is great sushi restaurant. Located off the beaten path on Asbury St., Little Tokyo may be the best sushi place on the Northshore. The restaurant is very small inside and the parking outside is odd (parallel parking on the side of the building), but their service and food is very good. Service was excellent. The restaurant wasnt full and we were seated immediately. We had two excellent servers. One of the servers was brand new, but she did an incredible job. Upon seating everyone at the table was brought a bowl of clear broth soup. It had noodles and was very good. They did bring us a spoon, but that may have been because we had children with us. We started with an appetizer of gyoza which was very good. We ordered some cooked dishes for the kids which were massive. They actually let us order the lunch portion since it was for kids, but it was still enough that they could have shared. Our rolls were very good to excellent. The rolls came with 6-8 pieces per roll and two was more than enough food for one person. The rolls were reasonably priced and amazingly fresh. We really enjoyed our meal at Little Tokyo and will gladly be back.

Little Tokyo is our go-to local sushi place and has been for years. The sushi is always well prepared and the service is friendly and very speedy. Often well call in orders to go and they really do an awesome job getting our orders correct. I think there has been an error once in the 10+ years weve been going to Little Tokyo, which is pretty remarkable. They are also very generous with the sauces when you pick up your order (my husband digs the chef sauce so we get a bunch). Sometimes parking can be an issue during peak hours like lunch time during the week, so if your schedule is flexible you might want to go around 11:30am or after 1pm. Some faves are the Volcano Roll, Yami Yami Roll, Chop Chop Roll and Squid Salad.

I am forever looking for places that balance price, quality, and atmosphere, and I am so happy to say, this is one of those places! Just came back from our first ever visit, and everything was amazing! I highly recommend the Crispy Crab Roll, and the Salmon Skin Roll. The pricing is super great, two family members and I ordered all that we wanted and it came out less the $40, which is amazing. I even love that the outside of the establishment is a little old looking so that it is the most pleasant of juxtapositions when you enter and the interior is really clean and cozy. So, if your thinking of going and on the fence, GO FOR IT!

We have been going there for years. They started making their rolls much smaller recently and kept the prices the same. I understand that their costs have gone up but when we questioned them, they got offended and stated that they know how to run a business and were very rude. The quality of food has slipped recently. Sushi is great, but their soy sauce is terrible. They cant use kikkoman, the most popular Japanese soy sauce. Tastes like they either use a cheaper, off brand soy sauce, or their soy is very old because they may buy in bulk. Its disheartening to have my meal ruined by bad soy sauce.

This is one of the most amazing sushi, and Japanese, restaurants Ive been to. Service is quick and of good quality. The food is always as I order. Drink choices are also good. I have come here multiple times and it is always a good experience.

Consistency is their strong point. Consistently very good. Sure Ive had higher end sushi and paid way more. But LT has great prices and I end up going there 5:1 ratio compared to other sushi places. There is a reason I keep coming back.

Awesome and consistent. We go there regularly. Try the Rocky II Roll. Small place and really fast to table. Theyre a little pricy compared to Kazoku on 59 but I like the small atmosphere. Goes through waitstaff like crazy though.

One of my favorite sushi places! The best in Mandeville for sure! They have impeccable service and a great atmosphere. I have been there when it is busy and it was still really good, but most of the time it is very cozy.

I ordered mine to go. $11 got me some sliced up chicken with a little bit of sauce coating it. They put it in a plastic container used for salads elsewhere, and the sauce spilled out on my car. Lovely. Wont be back.
