Amazing Birthday Experience. The ambiance is chic, modern but warmly welcoming; a very hard combination to nail. Love the pillows covering the seat of the "booths" which, while they have no back, are still comfy. The lighting is dim but not overly dark, and the music level is just right. The noise level is moderate, which in my opinion is no responsibility of the restaurant. This is a reunion hot spot and so people will talk, and laugh. If you are looking for a quiet ambiance, go elsewhere, dont complain once you arrive. Additionally, bathrooms are beautiful and clean. (This usually reflects the kitchen.) The food is phenomenal. FRESH, delicious, and very appealing. They put as much effort into their fried rice as they do their specialty roles and that speaks volumes about their standards. I didnt bother to ask for a kids menu because we teach our son to eat what we eat, and their regular menu provides plenty of kid-friendly items (spice and ingredient wise, no chicken nuggets here, thank God.) Now, let me brag on service! Earlier in the morning (and I mean early for restaurant time) I had a few questions about birthday accommodations concerning bringing in a cake and storing it. Kelli, who was super sweet and knowledgeable, assured me that I could bring it in and they could store if for me. Later that night when we arrived, I did not except her to be there and asked the host if they could possibly store the cake. Worth mentioning, it was a LARGE cake, and it would be understandable if they could not store it, after all, the purpose of their fridge is to store THEIR food. Kelli, who probably saw me with the cake in hand, came from her section to the host stand to introduce herself and take care of the cake for me. Not only had she remembered me and the details of the conversation, she was super accommodating on my presentation requests. We had the pleasure of having her as our server and she was continuously on point (even with a busy section on a packed night.) Lastly, the hostesses where very sweet. They cleverly sat us in the corner booth, which is slightly hidden, which I could imagine was to give us some privacy and also consider the fact that toddlers, no matter how well behaved, have their moments. We were so comfortable in our tiny corner and were never forgotten about. They were also kind enough to take pictures of us mid shift. I noticed the hostesses also walk around and help out with all types of front of house duties; great reflection of teamwork and working in sync. GREAT date night spot. I could see a lot of couples in the place. We already plan to return for a kid-free night, a small family get together, and a social meetup. We found our favorite sushi spot. Many thanks to the management and team of Sushi Domo!

Ok guys, please do not support this establishment. First a little back story. My younger sister use to work at this place a while back, from the beginning she said the manager, Ryan, was very verbally abusive and would cuss her out constantly. She eventually quit Sushi Domo and its been over a year since shes worked there and the manager still continues to call her, taunting her, harassing her, and of course cussing her out. My wife and I decided just to try the food out and yeah it was some ok sushi, but once the manager knew that I was the brother of an ex employee, he began acting extremely rude towards me and my wife. We gave this place a 1 star review and he fought with Yelp in order to get it taken off. So last night we had a group of friends that wanted to try Sushi Domo and so even though our previous experience wasnt a very pleasant one, we agreed to meet them there for dinner. Immediately after we sat down, Ryan recognized us, and confronted us about the previous 1 star review my wife and I gave Sushi Domo a couple of months back. He was again extremely rude, harassing my wife with questions and making everything unpleasant. We talked to our friends and decided not to eat here anymore with Ryan being as aggressive as he was so we left. A few moments later I received a call from my younger sister explaining that Ryan would not stop calling her until she finally picked up the phone only to give her VERBAL THREATS against me and my wife. He told her that if he sees us at Sushi Domo again that he would slap my wife and assault me. So even if the food was good and youve been coming to Sushi Domo previously. Do not support this place. Ryan is an abusive, controlling, and very aggressive person and if you ever give Sushi Domo a 1 star review and go back to the restaurant just to give it another try, remember that he looks through all the reviews and Will confront any customer that gave him a 1 star. I hope this review reaches plenty of people and I hope you decided to spend your money somewhere else instead of supporting this abusive person. Thank you all for reading the long post. And since I am aware that Ryan will read this, just letting you know that I have filed a complaint with the BBB and will push legal action for threatening me and my family.

Over the years I have had some bad experiences and some good experiences with this place. Like any place you visit several times, youll always find some pros and cons, and thus I have assembled a small list of these pros and cons here. Pros: The environment here is nice and I often go here for date nights. The lights are dimmed and the booths are pretty nice. The bar is also a good place to hang out with the guys since the chef that works at the bar is very friendly and theres a TV for entertainment also. The food is good and the presentation is amazing. Green Tea Tempura is amazing but a bit pricey. Id still buy it though. There are also $4 special rolls on Thursday nights which is also a treat. Cons: I mentioned on the pros section that the good was good and presentation was awesome. However, do not be fooled because the quality of the food drops dramatically if you order it take out. The special also does not apply upon take-out either. Basically if you want quality food, Dine in. That being said, the waitress are not very attentive either. I sat with an empty glass for the longest time and was ignored by the waitress when I tried to call her over. The lack of attention the waitress has also makes it difficult to even get the check. I guess this is nice when youre on a date because it gives you more time to talk to your date but there are times when I had to walk up to the front to pay the check because I just wanted to leave. Overall, my best experiences would be when Im with the guys at the bar talking to the chef. If I had to rate that alone, it would be a 5 star. But adding on my takeout experience and the slowness of service, Im giving this a 3.

Had a $25 gift card and decided to give this place a try. Shouldve believed the reviews! Start with signature "rolls"- Domo Tower is a mashed up crab dip served with rice cake chips, NO LIE. Volcano roll "thingy" is I think 8 rolls shoved together and cooked, well the rice made it like a shepherds pie. Just a large bowl of mush. Its fine though, we picked the "rolls". When we attempted to use the $25 gift card on our $82 bill we were told we couldnt use it with the happy hour specials, and the rolls had to be full price. Asked for the manager....here is where ALL the other bad reviews made sense. The manager, whos name I assume could be Ryan based on other reviews, showed up to our table ready for a fight. Before we could speak he told us "we couldnt get the roll for free". Shocked, my wife said "we didnt expect anything for free". After him saying many rude things to us we had to ask him to leave us alone please. After we settled with the waitress we began to head for the door. Shockingly the manager begins sarcastically yelling across the restaurant us, making sure he has everyones attention and waiving fanatically "thank you so much guys, have a good one!" This is actually the worst sushi experience I have ever had. We will never go back. I will make sure to tell my experience with anyone willing to listen. Go to Pirahna, Hokkaido or my fav, Suzushii
