Today for lunch, my coworkers and I called in an order to the Spring Creek located in Arlington, TX. We placed two separate orders and mine was a Pork Sandwich Plate. When my coworker got back with the food, I realized I was given the Pork Dinner Plate instead of the Sandwich plate, which is NOT a huge deal. However, when I called to bring it to the managers attention I feel like the issue was brushed off in a very rude manner. I informed him of the mix up and his response was to tell me that "The two plates are the same price and there is more food on the dinner plate anyways." When I commented that Im not worried about the price OR the amount but about the fact that I didnt get the meal that I ordered, his response was "Im sorry that you didnt get your sandwich, but they are the same price and the dinner plate comes with more food anyways so it is a better value." I work in the customer service field and deal with upset customers on a daily basis. I feel as though brushing the mix up off because of the amount of food or the price is ridiculous and unprofessional. This matter could have been easily resolved if he had offered to fix me the correct meal or even offered sincere condolences without his justifications. As a first time Spring Creek customer, it definitely left me with no desire to visit again anytime soon.

So something amazing and humbling happened tonight at dinner... We went to dinner at springcreek bbq in arlington and it was super packed so the hubby decided to find a seat while Mj and I got in line for food. So were proceeding to our seat and my big boy thought he could carry his own tray and tried his best but it tipped on him and bbq sauce all over his shirt. My poor baby was so embarrassed but a young teenage worker took it upon himself and helped Mj to our table. He asked Mj if he was ok and asked permission to get him dessert after dinner, which made Mj smile. Dinner was over and the teenage worker came back to check on Mj and asked if he was ready and took him to the dessert counter. I happened to look back and saw the young teenager take out his wallet and pay for Mjs dessert and words cannot express how I felt at that moment! This young man took it upon himself and his own money to put a smile on my babys face. He didnt have to do any of the above but to know that there are respectful, kind hearted young men out there, makes me have hope in this crazy world! I am forever grateful to this young man, he will never know the impact he left on my heart. #stayhumbleandkind

We have always enjoyed our meals at this Spring Creek. Today, one of our friends rented out a room and held his retirement party there. It is a great venue for a private event, with a nice big room that is nearly soundproof. They allowed live music also, which was enjoyable. We get a coupon in the mail once a month that is buy one rib dinner get one free, and we learned from a friend that it doesnt actually have to be a rib dinner. You can get whatever plate you want BOGO. That makes it super inexpensive to have some good barbecue! Another lesser-known money-saving tip: you can actually go back in the line and refill your veggies for free, you just cant get more meat. So, if you cant finish the full serving of meat in one meal, you can go back in line and refill your veggies and have enough food for another complete meal the next day!

The food at this place is great, but the main complaint I have is the first guy behind the counter you speak to; every time I go, hes there and the first thing he says to me: "Mam?" ...I am a female-to-male transgender and I am offended every time he says that. I have a hard enough time passing as it is, you dont have to rub it in dude. =_= All I ask out of Springcreek is to tell their employees to stop assuming the costumers gender, or at least dont call androgynous people "sir" or "mam" especially when they cant tell either way! (easier way: If you cant tell, then dont assume!) If I ever eat their food again, itll be to-go, because I dont want to deal with that guy again (I almost lost it the second time!). Hopefully, hell either be fired or quit in the next year or so... <.<

Reserved the room for a large gathering. Food was good. DP was very watered down. Music was SO loud we couldnt hear the presentation. I went and asked for it to be turned off in that room only and the guy who helped me acted like he was mad. When the presentation was over, the people got up and started visiting. That same guy came in and started bussing tables, threw away papers that some of us were saving, threw out my drink before I was done (no big loss), and was generally rushing people from their visiting. Bad experience. May need to take our business elsewhere next time. Gave two stars because the BBQ was good. And that was all.

I ordered a baked potato all the way. Sat down and was ready to eat my meal only to find hair as a garnish. When my potato was being prepared, I noticed the girl picking at my potato as attempting to remove something. I really didnt pay this much attention until I say down and saw the hair. I took it back and told them of the hair. A few minutes later I was presented with another potato with no apology. It had been a few years sense the last time I had eaten at Spring Creek, needless to say I will never return.

Walked in at 2:02 trying to get a lunch special which is from 11am - 2pm, just to get turned down by a very rude manager. My wife wasnt very hunger and wanted a kids plate and the man wouldnt even give us that. Apparently you have to be 12 and under to purchase that? Yea thats BS. Their manager needs to be fired. He was very disrepectful to us. We ended up walking out because of this incident.

The bar-b-q was good and the service was good. They dont wait on you here, you order in line just like at Rudys bar-b-q. They do however deliver fresh baked bread throughout your meal which i really enjoyed. Friendly staff, all said hello and went out of there way to make sure everyone said by . I will be returning to this restaurant.

Service was great and the Ribs were falling off the bone and the sliced Brisket was so tender I couldnt pick it up with the fork all sides are self serv. All employees were very friendly and a women is baking rolls and shell make rounds with a basket full of them offering them to everyone. Great price very good BBQ Ill be coming back.

So glad this place is back after a 4 to 6 month absence. Came here with my family when we heard that they reopened. The place looks around the same before the fire but it does feel a little brighter and cleaner in there. Employees are very active and very friendly and the food is hot and fresh and great! Would totally recommend!
