Ate breakfast based on the 4.5 star rating. This is most definitely an inflated review. The food was delicious although their biscuits are dry and gravy was watery and bland. We were sat under the A/C vents that steadily leaked condensation. Our server forgot EVERYTHING...coffee refills, silverware, sugar, cream, ketchup, etc. It is evident their management doesnt supervise the side work because the salt shakers were full of wet, clumpy salt. When we spoke with the manger about the leaky A/C she nonchalantly replied, " Yeah, but its only water." I was more than a little surprised as condensation leaking on to your food isnt sanitary. I suspect she wasnt "the manager" as she was wearing purple yoga pants and looked like she just left the gym. I asked her to adjust the bill because they wouldnt move us and she refused. Keep driving, this place isnt worth your money.

I have not found any restaurant that can beat the fried chicken, cream gravy (just like moms) and the mashed potatoes not to mention the wonderful hot, melt in your mouth biscuits with butter and honey. My body will not let me dine at Babes more than 3 to 4 times a year because of the calories and cholesterol so I consider my visit a real treat. This is a restaurant where you will find yourself speaking loudly and enjoying the fun atmosphere. Heck, go ahead and dance with the waitresses. Lots of distractions and great for kids. Enjoy!

I was passing thru town looking for breakfast when I came across this tucked away diner. Let me tell you Granny Catherine was an awesome waitress! Honestly the food here is delicious! Forget that there is no spinach in sight and let your heart be guilt free because your stomach will thank you. Lets not even get into the divine in house pies. Pioneer has the taste of a small town diner with portions that lack control and speedy service to boot! Skip your diet for a day and come eat somewhere that will make your grandma smile.

Overall: Good southern homestyle breakfast at a good price! Below are more details & pictures... Food: Table favorite was the pioneer breakfast with the french toast and the sausage, both outstanding! honorable mention goes to the biscuits. btw, the pancakes in the photo is a kids plate Service: We had the sweetest best server ever, shes worked there over a dozen years and she called "Grandma" We tipped her 50% because she was awesome AND it was Mothers day!

Our family really enjoys going to Pioneer Restaurant after church Sunday mornings. We usually go at least once a month, and have been so for over 15 years. Weekday business lunches are great as well. Good, old fashioned home cooking breakfasts and lunches. Consistent quality, reasonable prices, and one of the friendliest ownership and wait staff I have ever experienced. I guarantee you will enjoy your experience and come back again and again.

This restaurant has been here forever. The food is generally pretty consistent and you have a lot of choices. Most of the staff is very friendly and helpful, but there are a couple that maybe shouldnt work in the service industry. They are not rude by any means, but you can tell they arent happy with their job either. We usually go for breakfast and get the pioneer special or biscuits and gravy.

This place is a fantastic little diner spot! Whether you want breakfast, lunch, dessert or dinner, this place is sure to satisfy! You can tell the wait staff are experienced and competent! Food is always good and fresh, EVEN if theyre busy! Ive never been disappointed with anything here ( unless maybe of theyre out of one of their awesome pies)! Highly recommend for groups and families!

Classic American-style breakfast foods with the occasional Tex-Mex twist. Their serving sizes are pretty big, especially for the price point, which I think is probably the best part about Pioneer. I dont necessarily think its the most special place to eat (think of it as a family-owned Cracker Barrel), but if you have a hankering for breakfast, this would be a solid place to consider.

Just what a family owned diner should be. We were seated quickly in spite of the fact that it was a busy morning. Our server, Mary, was attentive and friendly. She was always there when we needed something, even though she had several other tables to attend to. The food was good and we had plenty to eat. I would certainly go again when in the area. Family friendly.

The breakfast is excellent and portions are large. Im tried just about every thing on the menu (from omelets to pancake platter) and nothing leaves me disappointed. Waitresses are very friendly & courteous. Sunday mornings can be crowded however the wait time is never over 15 minutes. I would strongly recommend Pioneer restaurant to all! Five stars.

On a packed Sunday morning, I was seated as soon as I walked in. The very nice waitress arrived only a couple of minutes later and my equally nice country breakfast only fourteen minutes after that (I noted the time because I was that far into a TV show on my phone). As I was leaving I forgot my hat and the waitress caught up with me to return it.

So good! Had a 20 min. Wait at 10:30 on Fathers Day, but definitely worth the wait. Kids demolished the sampler plate, wife lived the Pioneer Special and I had the 2 eggs with smoked sausages. Everything was good. We also loved the homemade biscuits and gravy. Definitely a breakfast destination and I bet the lunches are great to!

Typical American restaurant. Simple but very effective in both service and food quality. We had: - scrambled eggs with bacon and toasts - steak and eggs - meat sandwich with fries Even if the place was somewhat busy, they have served us in a timely fashion. The waitress was very polite and the food very good.

An average breakfast joint with a large variety of menu items including Tex mex. the price ranges from below 10 to greater. The specials are a good value as well. The quantity of great for the price like it should be and service is attentive. Facility appears ages yet comfortable. Additional parking in rear.

Friendly service!! Came on a Sunday morning, home game for them Cowboys. The parking lot was packed but it didnt matter bc the place is huge for local diner. We got a table once we walked in. At first glance I thought the prices were a bit high, but the portions make up for it. Would come back again.

I love to eat here. There is a waitress named Samantha that waited on us and she is amazing. She made sure to keep tea in our glass and checked on us without being over barring. We will be requesting her area next visit. Food was good and hot and reasonable prices.

This place was exactly as I had hoped it would be. Im actually annoyed at myself for having lived so close for so long and never gone. Its delicious diner food, the waitresses were awesome, and its right down the road. Ive found my new favorite breakfast spot.
