Gotta say Im disappointed. Im in town on business and was looking for a good Mexican restaurant near by and I found this place via google. I read all the glowing reviews of the food and wonderful staff so I decided to give it a try. The hostess was the best part of my experience. She sat me and then I waited over ten minutes before she noticed that no one had come to even speak to me at my table, so she took my drink, appetizer and meal order. It was another 5 minutes at least before my drink was delivered and another almost ten minutes before someone brought me chips and salsa. To be honest Im not sure who my server was. The guy who I think was my server didnt take any of my order, bring me any of my food or my bill. The food was ok but nothing special. The salsa was good but the chips are too thick for my liking. The enchilada soup tasted like tomato soup with tortilla strips and chicken. The fajitas were pretty good but not nearly good enough to make up for the lack of attendance from my server. I also waited almost ten minutes before anyone noticed my drink was empty. The restaurant was not busy so I see no excuse for the service. I dont know if it was because I was by myself or what because it certainly seemed like the other "full"tables in my area were getting plenty of attention. I still left a good tip because I know the job is hard but I wont be recommending to my fellow business travelers try it out. Sorry

The Good: The chips and salsa The Guacamole The Red Fish Tacos The location is less than mile The Not so Good: Our first visit the waitress told us they were known for their mole sauce. So i tried the mole enchiladas and they were so sweet i couldnt eat more than a few bites. She never offered to get me something else, but told me mole sauce is suppose to be really sweet. The service was slow and not very good and the place was less than half full. So hopeful for this place too. Strike One. Our second visit we ordered guacamole and chicken fajitas. The Chicken was so bad that we couldnt eat it. We enjoyed our pricey drinks along with the nice weather and being on the patio. Again the service was a little lacking as the waiter took away our dishes, never noticing that we didnt eat the chicken. Strike Two. Our third visit we ordered guacamole, fish tacos, the Jicama salad with chicken, and a cocktail. The tacos were really good as we split them along with the salad. The salad was not very good, especially for the price. The chicken was better but still not very good. Once again the weather and patio was very nice, but was glad the service was slow keeping us from ordering a second drink. With tax and a 15% tip, our bill came out to $90. Strike Three.

As we entered, having a reservation, not a busy Saturday night at 7 pm. Tables open, we had a party of 4. Took 10 minutes for host and hostess to figure out which empty table to sit at. Get to the table and all we noticed was it wasnt busy but servers are running and looking stressed. Should have left at this point. Server says hell be with us in a minute. Comes to table asked us for drinks told me no we dont have milk for your 4 year old I ask what do you do when people want milk with coffee? We have milk for that. Second opportunity to leave which I did not. Ordered our food and a new table was sat after us and receives thier guacamole before is we look for server finally wave him down and ask wheres our guacamole? Oh?! 10 minutes later our bland guacamole arrives. More than boring, was like mashed avacado. Food arrives shortly after. They didnt bring my 4 yr old her food. Said 10 minutes well have it for her. No thanks. We have from my wife and mother in-laws plate. The chef special was my dish. I sent it back because it was like broth and rice. Ended up not eating at ALL. No one was I dinning room, no leadership, no manager and no chef around. Thanks ALOT! BTW it was my birthday dinner. Just a joke. Good luck people! Wont see us again.

To start off the food was satisfactory, I have three complaints that really ruin the experience for me. 1. We were seated next to the kitchen which would be fine if the large metal door didnt slam and make a horrible metallic banging noise. I find it hard to believe the owner hasnt realized that this is fairly annoying and customers probably dont want to hear it. Some simple rubber stops will solve your problem. 2. Drinks are way over priced $7.50 for a Dallas blonde are you kidding??? I can get smashed off of 2 icebergs at Esparzas for $16. Margaritas are $10ish which is fine if it taste like a $10 margarita. These are $6 Margaritas. 3. The price to portion ratio is unacceptable to me. I paid $20 dollars for fajitas I was literally able to make two fajitas. I think 4 is more reasonable for $20. I dont hate the place, it is not awful but there are too many good Mexican restaurants in the Grapevine area that are cheaper and taste better. If I was in a town with a population of 1,000 people I would be happy that this restaurant was here. However youre in the central part of the DFW area and there are just too many options that not only taste better, but are cheaper.

I was one of the original reviewers at their Oaklawn location because I was excited to finally be eating authentic Mexican cuisine. To my delight excitement/anticipation, I happen to drive by their then in progress Grapevine location. At the same time, I was concerned that I might be disappointed as the second one is rarely as good as the first one. I am excited to share that it is in fact just as fantabulous. Please keep in mind that if you like Tex Mex style Mexican cuisine, you might be a little disappointed. This is coastal Mexican and tends to favor seafood and fresh veggies as part of the mix. Thank you, Mesa for the authenticity and fresh ingredients!

O.M.G. This place is insanely good. Farmers market fresh. Would give it more stars if they had them. Zoby (our server) was amazing, entertaining and made great recommendations for our group of 5. I had the seafood (burrito or enchilada, dont remember) but it was without a doubt the best Ive had. Overly generous helpings of seafood inside their handmade tortillas. We also had 2 appetizers - white cheese dip (with a few mushrooms added) and the fresh guacamole. Both of these were excellent. Frozen margarita was probably the best Ive ever had. Summary - really fresh food, cooked perfectly with tons of flavor, great drinks and exceptionally good service.

We dined in this place and had very bad experience.. The AC wasnt working, wish they had told us when we called them to check for reservation, we had 3 toddlers with us. First Mexican place that charges for chips, 20% gratuity for party of 4 adults (3 toddlers), Got bacon rice when we repeatedly made them aware that we all are vegetarians.. Overly priced, $19 for 2 enchiladas with no sides, paid $3 for side of beans.. Veggies enchiladas was more like carrot enchiladas.. $6 for kids cheese quesadilla WITHOUT drinks, $3 extra to add spinach and mushrooms.. We are not going back again.. To add, Poor customer service!!!
