Subpar, overpriced food dressed up in a fancy restaurant! Do not waste your time and money! Where do I start with this fancy looking restaurant. That is the only good thing about this place. Nice atmosphere for eating and friendly greeter at the door. After I read other reviews for this restaurant I was willing to give it a try. My family had 5 different dishes from this SUBPAR and OVERPRICED place and only 1 dish was actually good enough to be finished. 2 of the 5 dishes was bad enough that not only did we not finish, we did not even want to take it home. For example, my girlfriend had the Pad Thai. (She loves Thai food and goes to a Thai place at least 3 times a week.) The Pad Thai was so sweet that she had to ask for extra limes to make it somewhat edible. Other then 2 small pieces of tomato in the dish there were no other vegetables. The amount of peanuts were so small, initially we would wondering if this is actually Pad Thai. Half the stuff on the menu has a base price which really just consist of rice or noodle and the sauce they come in. However, to add a protein like beef or shrimp will cost your more. In total it is more expansive than most Thai places we go. Especially for their off taste, DO NOT GO!

Always good service, I order off the menue a perk of being a long time customer. I know there was a time when this restaurant was sub par, that was before the current owner. Since this owner took over the food has been wonderful and consistent. The chefs are Thai and know what they are doing.The curries are my favorite, I love theirs, thick rich and goes better with sticky rice and for an occasional twist try some lime leaf! I get a version of the beef salad or what ever it is called on the menue and it is my absolute favorite food in the world. Im a pretty good cook, Ive tried to copy this over the last decade and havent had a lot of luck, can get close but not quite there. Ill stick to my bbq and steaks, home made breads and rolls, leave the Thai food to Silver Thai!

this place is just not a very visible location, and from the outside, you have no idea what kind of restaurant it is, and why the windows are blackened... anyway. so you go inside, and wow, its actually a very nice restaurant. the service have been excellent each time I go there, and the food has been maybe what I would rate as a consistent B for a Thai restaurant. Their noodle soup is not great, order their rice dishes or their dry noodle dishes. Overall, its a nice place that should not disappoint.

The place is well decorated and the atmosphere is very inviting. Our table was clean and the vase had real roses. The food was good but not consistent, we ordered the same kind of spicy level but the food was different when it arrived at our table. The spicy level for my dish was perfect, just enough to make you want to keep eating it but also make you pause for a bit. The vegetable tempura and rolls were good. Well visit again in the future to see if the spicy issue is better.

Today was the second time going to this place and they do not disappoint. They are a little higher than our old favorite neighborhood Thai place (we moved from Dallas to Plano), but the quality is definitely there you get what you pay for in most cases. Their Green Thai curry is amazing and it is thick but light at the same time. Pineapple friend rice also does not disappoint. Will definitely be going back again soon. Service has been great they have a good atmosphere.

Tired of the same old food? Then you have to try this place. Fantastic!!!!! We had the Jade Scallops as an appetizer, and for the main course volcano chicken, and the Lahd Na flat noodles with pork, and some Jasmine tea. BIG portions (had to take 1/2 of it home), and totally delicious, spiced unlike anything asian I have had before. Great atmosphere, and very polite, helpful, wonderful service. Went to the top of my favorite list with just one visit. James

My wife and I visit Silver Thai frequently. The staff is always friendly. The food has been consistently excellent for many years, even across the change in ownership. We will definitely continue to be regular customers. Favorite dishes include the Tom Kha soup, Basil Tilapia, cashew chili chicken and glass noodle Pad Thai. Certainly many more dishes are worthy but we keep coming back to the same favorites.

Silver Thai offers an awesome dining and bar experience for anyone looking for an organic, local, Thai, or fresh food experience. Its the type of place where the Owner knows the regulars and the patrons at the bar and they all socialize together. The happy hour, drinks, service, special events, and sticky rice dessert, are the pound for pound best in Allen and proximity regardless of cuisine.

Fantastic neighborhood Thai restaurant is a true gem. Ingredients are fresh & delicious --from my personal fav Garden Chicken to the Thai Beef jerky and the jasmine rice...omg! Very relaxed & cool ambience w a nice music playlist. Ken the owner & all the servers are gracious & accommodating. Delivery too...this place cant be beat!!

Walked in with our family of 6 on Mothers Day, the host hastily says "just a moment!" And continues angrily scribbling on his paper, then walks away. We decided to leave as we were obviously stressing him out. Needless to say, we didnt make it to the food part. We left.

Purchased $31 dollars of food for delivery, when the food came it looks like $10 and barely able to fill my stomach. The jerky with sticky rice is good. Portion is very small for ok food. That just kills it.

Loved the food, nice and spicy, they have a scale of 1-7 for spicyness, and 5 itself was pretty hot. Very good service as well.. wud def go back! Recommend d bags of gold, bah-mee, mango salmon..

Tasty food. Good decor. Couple of minor items. They charge your extra for small salad with your entree but they dont tell you that it is an additional charge. Same with sticky rice as well.

Slow slow service! Food was not hot or spicy, even though we ordered level five. The waitress seemed as if she was running late for an appointment. We are not gonna come here again.
