I used to come here all the time when the Original people who opened this location had control of this location. It was absolutely great then service was always good it was clean and the food was always great. Now not so much, I came in, waited 10 minutes for my waiter then along with the fact that somebody had to tell him to come to his table.... I went to order an unsweet tea get ready for it, this is funny they only had sweet tea that day but no unsweet. I guess they forgot how to make that one. Found hair inside the cracker that they bring literally the hair was made into it. I ordered a Diet Coke instead, not my favorite especially considering their machine taste like either it hasnt been cleaned or the mix is off. Now lets get to the food. I ordered panir pakora, this is a fried cheese it was okay but the presentation was literally so sloppy that Ive seen children that can put things together better while I was eating my appetizer a couple that walked in waited so long for service that they walked out. At the same time I noticed that one of the waiters is putting an apron on and off and playing cook at the same time or something in the back. They were busy and understaffed especially considering this is a tourist town that is very close to several attractions. Anyways I digress... I order chicken tikka marsala which I order very frequently as it is my favorite however not at this location. I cant believe what Im about to say but it was very Bland had not a lot of flavor other than the cream base that it was in. Now everybody out theres thinking how can this be its Indian food. Trust me I was confused as well. They had several guest complaining about their service while I was there even an Indian family complaining. I cannot tell you how much it pains me to post this review. The original people who opened this location did a great job with it. They are dearly missed and it isnt just because theyre familiar if you used to come in here during the point that they ran it you may have a few surprises in store I suggest you go to the Knoxville Tennessee location instead. Now I want you to know I did not post this review being hateful or anything else just very honest and in hopes it sees the correct eyes somewhere and they put the other people back or maybe retrain some of the people at this location. We were very excited to see this concept come to Sevierville Tennessee as there is nothing like it here. We absolutely hate to see it slowly being ran into the ground. Now some people with naturally say everybody has an off night. unfortunately this is my third experience of the exact same thing in this location. once on daytime once at night. The first time I had came since the management had changed, the lunch hours were different and I left because they said that they were closing in 30 minutes and said it very rudely I almost didnt come back again.

I absolutely love the food there. I am a regular customer there and have been there numerous times with good experience. However this time when I went was towards the end of the lunch buffet and the server offered us a to go box. My friend and I both thought well thats really nice of them to offer a to go box at the end of the buffet probably to get rid of the food. He never once indicated that there was an extra charge for that. I was shocked when I went to pay and was charged an extra $10. If he had told us up front that there was a charge I would have declined the to go box. But the way that he gave us the box in no way indicated there was an extra charge. When I asked him about it unfortunately it was too late to do anything about it and he basically said sorry tough theres a charge. Very disappointing Update: the manager acknowledged the mistake and apologized and agreed that the server made a mistake by offering a to go box. He said he would take care of us next time we came. Thank you Sitar for listening. Didnt want to get the guy in trouble but just make sure he knows not to offer it to anyone in the future and at least tell them there is a charge for it. Thank you again. Will be back soon

It has been a victim of a smear campaign. The place was excellent! . Let me please speak to some of the things you read in the one star listings. 1. The buffet is excellent. There may be a person or two ahead of you but not 10-15 minute wait as mentioned. 2. Food is replenished and I never noticed it empty. 3. Staff was pleasant and engaging. The waiter took care of us. (Water glasses filled and plates removed) and joked with my son. 4. You DO NOT pay first. You eat and pay when you are done 5. They DO NOT serve on paper plates and plastic ware. China and silverware is used. Finally shame on anyone who does this to another. We went the year before and had an excellent experience but when we read the reviews we almost decided not to go this year. So we walked in and looked to determine if even some of the complaints were true. We noticed the food look good and restocked, China and silverware and we did not have to pay first we realized people were lying in their reviews. It was a nice visit. We will go a couple more times while we are here before we leave.

They were clearly under staff for Sunday Dinner August 6. Waited more than 15 minutes before our order was taken. After another 15 minutes we received our starters , Samosas, and it was served on lettuce that looked like they were cut the previous day, all dried out and black edges. The table was not properly cleaned from previous as it had left over food from previous guests. We had to get up and get our own water as they did not attend to us the whole time after we received our main course. Our main course was Chicken Vindaloo, and we asked when we ordered if it is made from chicken breasts, and our server replied yes, Needless to say that it was made with off cuts from chicken drum sticks and thighs. Was there a few months ago and service and food was poor, but thought we can give them a second chance as they are the only Indian restaurant in the area and we wanted the support the local business. They are not on the same standard as the Knoxville Sitar.

I am local to the area and I drive by this place every day on my way to work. I finally decided to stop by for the lunch buffet to give it a try. I was not disappointed! The building is so unassuming from the outside. Inside it is gorgeous. A very relaxing and warm atmosphere. I was immediately greeted and shown to a table The bar isnt very large but it still had plenty of options. Nothing was overly spicy, all very mild. There are no American food choices for picky eaters if you plan to bring children. But if youre an adventurous bunch that likes to try new things or already love Indian cuisine I cant recommend this place enough. The food is awesome, the staff extremely friendly, the decor lovely and it isnt over priced. Dont hesitate to stop and eat here!
